A list of puns related to "Silent Hill 3"
This may be a dumb question but I've heard about the whole psychological stuff about the franchise and it really interests me but I'm not sure if I should get it because of how old it is, is it worth playing?
I just joined this sub a few minutes ago, so hello everyone!!
I finished Silent Hill 1 a few month ago and i finished Silent Hill 2 yesterday!! SH2 really blew me away, i think it is my new favorite Video Game of all time, i consider it to literally be flawless. I just downloaded Silent Hill 3 and i am going in absolutelly blind, i don't know anything about this game!! Is there something i should know before starting it tomorrow?
I am in love with this franchise so far, i don't know much about the games except the few thing i learned on the internet, i am aware that Team Silent made only first 4 games and after that it was a different developer.
Hello guys, I hope this is the right place to post this.
I'm going through SH3 for the first time (Β‘!) and I want it to be almost flawless since I've LOVED the SH1 and SH2 brand new experience this year (goosebumps...).
I followed the guides here to the letter and can run it borderless (widescreenfix) in my 2k monitor, but compared to the smooth 4k YT videos my game is definitely pixelated, especially the fog. When I start moving the girl is facing a moving grid, its like noisy image. Every fix I try looks almost the same (sh3proxy and Nemesis like WSFix, Steam006 announces false positive). Changed each.ini files to proper settings: 2560x1440, 4096x4096, fog layers.
Specs: Ryzen 7 3700, RTX 2060, 16Ram
What's my bad? Any .ini input I'm failing? Should I try the PS emu version? Thx in advance. I'm new but gonna try to post a couple of pics down here.

Ps: Have you seen a little girl?

This is probably pointless, but I long for Silent Hill 2 and 3 to be on pc. I got sick of waiting and decided to do something. I've made a petition on change.org and I wanted to share. It won't prob get seen by Konami, but I got to try at least. Thanks for reading
Which game did you enjoy the most? Tell me why in the comments if you want to. Iβm really curious guys.
Hello, I have a few ps2 games for sale. Prices are less than eBay prices since I wouldnβt be paying fees for selling on eBay. Shipping is also included. The stickers on the case are on the outside and can be peeled off without leaving damage.
Silent Hill 3 - $160 CIB includes manual and soundtrack. Just beat the game today and it works flawlessly. https://imgur.com/a/s7EJaxb

Hey guys!
So throughout the past month I played through both Silent Hill 1 and 2 for the first time & have shared my impressions with y'all; they were both incredible experiences and the second game is now among my favourite games of all time (got the "In Water" ending, which I thought was fitting) so I was super excited to jump straight into the third instalment.
Oh my fucking god. Just started today and it's taken me two sittings to get through the first half hour of the game... This one is on another level when it comes to horror (or maybe just inducing stress). I posted a couple days ago saying how scared I was playing through the second half of Silent Hill 2 -- praising the game for its oppressive environments and excellent use of surrealism -- but I can tell SH3 is going to hit different. I turned the game off feeling drained, yet of course excited to continue on. I'm in the mall right now and feel completely helpless and overwhelmed. The map is large and imposing and there are way more enemies being thrown at the player and they're taking way more bullets to down. I think they respawn too, though I could be wrong. So far it's just been sheer panic going from room to room (and it's wonderful). I feel like I'm not being allowed to take it slow and examine rooms at my leisure like I was able to in the others. I'm probably missing a ton of items due to my frenzied approach so I need to get it together. Having just played SH2 I'm shocked at how different this one is starting out. I'm thrown right into a nightmare with no context. It's disorienting and effective (though I might end up favouring SH2's slow-burn quality).
So yeah, the game's doing its job. I can tell it's gonna be another memorable experience which will sadly be gone through in small doses (I'm a wimp when it comes to horror games & would have thought the first two games would have somewhat hardened me, but clearly not!). I'm really eager to learn about Heather. She's already very likeable -- loved the toilet moment -- and there's a lot of personality in her "examine" descriptions (I can hear her voice in the text and they give me an idea of her character, which is very nice).
Like my other posts, I'm sorry if I didn't offer much of a discussion here. These posts read much more like a diary than anything but I do enjoy sharing my thoughts. I might be back with another post once I'm done with the game and starting up Silent Hill 4!
Ok! So I just played through Silent Hill 3 for the first time, I've played every game except for 'The Room' (ordered it) and 'Origin' (not sure about this one)
I love Silent Hill 1 and 2, Downpour is great as well, apart from the technical view.
Shattered memories has a great story (but I still run in my dreams..).
Had my fun with Homecoming, even if I think it's really tedious to get through, the bosses were awesome!
The point of this post is Silent Hill 3 and my experience with it, needed a place to write my thoughts down!
So this is not to offend anyone! :D
I had really high expectations, because I loved the first one very much and I knew that they were somehow connected. Got my package, started the good old Ps2 and booted the game. Music and opening mmmmh, good stuff. Starting in the amusement park! Awesssome! The Sound is great, the enemies look interesting and the visuals are very nice. But then Heather wakes up in the mall and I am excited to explore the shops as the creepy side starts to swell in. I come to a hallway, then another hallway, enemies, the bakery, small and nice puzzle, hallway.. Another hallway, a lot of enemies and a hallway... I really hate the mall. And I try not to, I really try to enjoy it, but it doesn't click. I hope that the next area is a bit better and I get to the subway. Empty halls with little detail, even if the game is beautiful. Rushed trough it, then the sewers. Hated the sewers in the first one, but you were able to just run past everything as it was clear where to go next. Silent Hill 3 has sooooo many jammed doors, it never bothered me in the other silent hills, but here it really got to me. I just ran through the mall and the sewers and the subway to get to the construction site and the building. From there it got a bit better and after getting to silent hill the quality of the areas get better overall. Maybe it was the 'goal'? Get home. But it takes forever.
The first half of the game almost completely made me stop playing the game. But Heather kept me going, she really is one of the best (if not the best) silent hill main characters. I wished you could play a bit with Harry by your side and see them interact with each other, but thats ok. The second half is a lot better, but not creepy at all in my eyes. There were enemies to annoy you in small corridors, but they never creeped me out one bit. Most of the time I just ran past them, not even on the edge of my seat what they could do or what w
... keep reading on reddit β‘at the end of Silent Hill 3 Vincent says that Heather has been killing people, not monsters. but then says he's joking... is there any lore about that? Are the monsters actually people?
I been learning with trial and error on how to try fixing sh3 pc with the pc fix and stuff, and was curious with anyone elseβs personal settings for the pc port. (DOF, shadow resolution, fog effect, etc.) Also tried the WidescreenFix but it didnβt work for me or maybe i didnt install it right. Same thing with PCSX2, didnβt work well for me either.
The price for Silent hill 2 and 3 skyrocketed. Now their both about $100-$250 in value. What in godβs name happened?
The pandemic? Change in the economy? The new Sony PSN store controversy? I am honestly shocked to see the value of SH3, and SH3 to be priced this high.
So I wanted to download Silent Hill 3 from myabandonedware but I got sent to a page that says "This is a wrong url or the game has been deleted. Try to do a search in the top right corner of the site."
Is there another safe site I can get the game from or am I missing something here?
so i wanted to start playing sh3 on pc but i noticed something the mouse is waaaay too slow and i cant change the sensitivity in the settings aswell does anyone know how to change it?
I have almost zero knowledge of the Silent Hill franchise (other than watching a playthrough of Shattered Memories) and I really wanted to play the first 3 games (and maybe 4). Problem is, I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on absurdly expensive games and 2 game consoles. I doubt my computer is strong enough and that emulating the first silent hill could be illegal since the PS classic exists.
Is there any way to play these games without spending loads of cash and avoiding legal troubles? I own a PS4 and Xbox 360 and I know the second one came out on Xbox. Thanks in advance.
Oh and I researched the HD collection and I am aware I should avoid that at all costs but is it my only chance at experiencing these games?
Looking for Silent Hill 2 and 3 for the PS2
