A list of puns related to "Sikhs"
Can somebody tell me why there is still no sikhism spawned?
Started a game as a custom nation in northern India with Punjabi culture and I have the option to form Punjab (just need tech 10). Yet the wiki says that if you release and play as Punjab (converting to Sikh) then you can get the achievement. I tried this and I didn't get the achievement. :/
Any suggestions? Can Sikh Pun not be done as a custom nation?
I'm on patch 1.29
I'm sikh of this joke.
I like doing nation-specific achievements and doing "historical" or "logical" frontiers as much as I can (ie. I usually play tall instead of blobbing).
Now Indian history is a bit of a weak point for me, I know that Punjab came about as Mughal and Marathan aggression towards Sikhism, but I dont know enough to know if any of the starting nations would make "sense" as the predecessor to Punjab.
Should I just play as Sirhind as the wiki recommends or alternatively form Mughals as someone (who do you think would be good?)? Also, this will be my first time playing in the India region, any advice for it? (note: I have all dlc except Golden Century).
It's 1460, I've got independence from Delhi, I've got two of the Nepalise Princes as vassals, and I'm debating wherever I should reconquer my cores on Delhi or if I should wait until their alliance with my ally Sindh breaks down. I'm also wondering if I should actually give Janphur any territory in the resultant peace deal.
*Sikh Pun Run that'll teach me to post at 1.42AM.
in title
I have conquered pretty much all of India as Delhi, converted to sikhism, yet i have no option to form Punjab. What am i doing wrong? I only have the vanilla game, with no dlcs.
Hey I'm had a sikh pun run lined up for my next campaign becouse of the sikh buff. So i just wanted to ask before i start.
Has the hot fix really fixed enough bugs to be playable?
And has anyone tried out the sikh mechanics? How are they?
I think it goes without saying, but the Sikh religion should have a few buffs. Right now, there's absolutely no reason to choose it over any other of the religions in India other than to nab the Sikh Pun achievement or for roleplay; it seems tailored to merely complement a playthrough as Sirhind/Punjab, rather than being a religion that one can feasibly pick to suit their play style.
To that end, there should a few changes, some of which I have outlined below:
Welcome to this week's edition of The Achievement Challenge, where you have to design your own achievements and compete against others!
This Achievement Challenge will last between 18th/19th December till 25th/26th December (depending on where you are right now). Winner can rake in all the karma.
This week, our challenge is Sikh Suggestions, Bro. The Sikh religion is severly underrepresented in the game - no mechanics, no achievements, and significantly overshadowed by the far superior Hindu. So why not design some achievements for it?
Some examples:
Bonus points if you don't use the shitty 'sick/Sikh' pun like everyone does all the time.
R5: The Thrid way, an unlikely candidate, and Sikh Pun, as Mzab
R5: Finally got my ambitious run with Mzab to get The Thrid way, an unlikely candidate, and Sikh Pun. Need to coma back to a backup 30 years ago after the wonderful Paradox last Patch and almost left it.
Chagatai, Oriates, Bulgaria, Air and Greece were my marches then I released and play with Punjab for the Pun. Nations formed: Mzab to Algiers to Tunis to Andalucia to The Caliphate to Punjab.
Most difficult part from Algiers to Tunis, trapped between Morocco-Mamluks and Tunis-Ottoman alliances, but my very best friend of the world, Provence, was REALLY helpful. We have been allied for all the game even when they became worthless and just a -1 diplo point per month.
Very very enjoyable run but for me it was really hard.
Of course as Ideas Religious as a must to deal with the Heretics, appart from that nothing special, just depending on the game
I am pretty new to the game but have already got most of the basic non specific ones as well as a Sikh Pun
In 1.26, the nation of Delhi has been reduced from a North India powerhouse into a rump state barely holding on to its lands. On the other hand, it has also been given a number of unique events, mission tree and achievements that make it a tag worth playing. Having done about half a playthrough, here is a my guide to the nation of Delhi.
State of the Union, 1444
In 1444, Delhi is a rump state. The once great empire has been reduced to a few provinces in the north. You hold vassalage over Sirhind to your northwest and Jangladesh to your southwest, but Sirhind is disloyal, larger than you, hold some of the highest development states in the entire game, and on top of everything else, starts with a stupid powerful three star general. You also start as a Sunni in a land where almost every province is Hindu. The only "advantage" you have is existing cores over half of your eastern neighbour, Jaunpur, as well as Sirhind, constantly draining your prestige. You start with a respectable +15% cavalry combat and +1 dip rep as your Traditions, but that is more than offset by your precarious position. Oh, as a turd cherry on top of this shit cake, both your ruler and heirs are terrible as well.
Opening Moves and Diplomacy
Your opening moves is decided by one dominant event: the breakaway of Sirhind (here I wish I had enough forethought to take a screenshot of it since the EU4 wiki isn't updated yet, but oh well, you're gonna have to trust me on this one). I'm not exactly certain of the triggering conditions, but I assume if Sirhind is disloyal and big within the first twenty years or so, an event will trigger that will either allow your to suppress Sirhind independence, which would increase their likelihood of declaring independence war, or letting them go independent directly, which gives you increased relations with the newly independent Sirhind. If you've played the Timurids lately, it is a very similar setup.
Obviously, you need to prepare for this war, both militarily and diplomatically. Build your military to full strength or more, as your income allows, hire a mil advisor, grab a 40 tradition general from the Estates while muttering a prayer, and then placate Jangladesh however you can to ensure they're on your side. Outside of the country, you definitely need strong allies to be cannon fodder stalwart comrades against Sirhind's three star general. Your choices are as follows:
-Japan is fun but is over quickly
-HRE's fun, but you get bogged down with AE so fast
-Periphery of Otto Mans or Russia is generally not fun unless you manage to put them down early
-Africa and the new world are okay, but you're forever worried about the colonizers
-Periphery of Ming sucks unless you're Manchu
But in India there's a whole bunch of tags of different sizes, with no real overwhelming power that you can't take down with some decent alliances.
I just did Ladakh ->Punjab, picking up Sikh Pun, Ganges Khan, and Pirate Bay of Janjira.
A couple runs back I did Mewar->Rajputana and wrecked shit, picking up their two achievements.
And way back when I did Batman -> Bharat and got Sun Never Sets.
Surprisingly, it may be the most fun area to play in the whole world.
Hello, all. Throwaway because I donβt want to be discovered by the corporates.
I am in second semester of nursing school and we are all required to be fit-tested for the N-95 masks. I am a Sikh and my religion forbids me from shaving or cutting any part of my beard.
I know that there are alternative loose-fitting respirators that allow facial hair, such as the CAPR and PAPR hoods. I have even volunteered to buy my own PAPR hood and bring it to clinicals.
However, the hospital has denied my request and they are mandating that I shave my beard or I will be unable to attend clinicals. I donβt know what to do. I donβt want to choose between my career and my religion.
Any help or advice would be appreciated.
Edit: I am in Tennessee, US
I decided to get the sikh pun achievement and i just....

Iβm playing as Sirhind currently, and want to get the Sikh Pun achievement. Sikhism just spawned in my borders, but I cannot convert. When I try to, it says that βSunni can not convertβ Does anyone know what is going on and how I can convert to Sikhism?
Thanks in advance
