A list of puns related to "Harmandir Sahib"
Hey i just came across something disturbing regarding the beadbi of sri harmandir sahib and akal takht while an american tv show called โyoungerโ. The season 1 episode 6 20.02 minutes clearly shows a poster of shri harmandir sahib being stomped under some heels and people stepping on it. What should i do next. Please let me know and help spread the word.
Taken from "Sri Harmandir Sahib Sunehri Itihaas" published by Dharam Parchaar Committee SGPC
Sri Guru Arjan Sahib Ji and Baba Budha Ji consulted with the leading Sikhs of the time and set a day for setting the foundation stone of Sri Harmandir Sahib. A great congregation took place on 1st Magh, 1654 Bk. (1589 AD) the Sarovar had been drained in preparation and the divaan took place in the sarovar itself. Sri Guru Ji explained the meaning of Harmandir and the importance. After distributing karah parshaad and invoking the first four Satgurus, Baba Budha Ji asked Guru Arjan Sahib Ji to place the first brick.
Sri Guru Arjan Sahib Ji with his hands then placed the first brick:
(Gurpartap Suraj Ras 2, Ansu 53).
It is clear that Gurpartap Suraj Granth says that Sri Guru Arjan laid the foundation of Sri Harmandir Sahib with his own hands. Real more
My dreams had some overlap:
I was always around the parikrama.
I never entered Harmandir sahib itself.
I was the only one at the complex and it was silent.
Day 1: I don't know how I entered Harmandir sahib but I was trying to get to a location (i don't know what location). I was walking quickly around the parikrama and it was empty and silent. Eventually i exited the complex and outside were fields of trees that bore some type of fruit. Then this stranger approached me and said that I need to take some fruit to this "mandir" on this path and that the fruit was not meant to be eaten. I didn't take the fruit nor eat it, but I just went down this sort of animated looking landscape of trees to get to the mandir. As I was nearing the "mandir" I just saw lines of people waiting to enter. The weird thing about the mandir is that it looked more like a business building rather than a mandir. I cut the line and went inside only to find more lines of people waiting. Eventually, and strangely enough, I met my cousins (who in real life are adults), but when they were kids. Long story short, we ran out exploring the mandir that some how looked like a person's house on the inside and found a slide, slide down the slide and somehow entered my masi's home. And my masi was preparing dinner for us.
Day 2: It was evening time and the complex was decorate for a deepmala. Jyots lite around the sarovar and lights on Harmandir sahib. Again I was the only one in the complex and nobody to be seem. I wanted to go inside but I woke up.
I don't really know what sparked this dreams.
Does anyone know the reason behind why Harmandir Sahib isn't allowing masks for pilgrims right now? I can't think of any logical reason.
Apologies if this has already been answered before.
Personally, my only guess for the not having English translations on Gurbani, such as Bhai Gurdas Vaaran, is that it is easier to understand in modern Punjabi. But Dasam Bani and Bhai Gurdas Singh Ji is a bit more challenging to understand.

Description from Youtube:
Within days after the attack on and massacre at the Durbar Sahib, Amritsar and more than 40 major Sikh worship and historical centres across India in June 1984 by its troops, Mrs Indira Gandhi's government mailed, unsolicited, a series of propaganda tapes - VHS and Beta video - to individuals and institutions around the world.
Excerpts from these tapes speak for themselves, when simply juxtaposed today against the truth that began to emerge, slowly but surely, after these tapes had unfortunately achieved their original goal: misinformation and a feeble attempt to justify a crime of historical proportions and far-reaching poltical and social implications.
The tapes were produced and distributed in 1984 through a multi-million dollar budget assigned to an international PR agency by the then Indian Government.
The poison implanted by the lies and the propaganda became entrenched in the public mind soon after its dissemination, and continues to polarize the Indian scene and the Indian Diaspora.
Hello, Sat Sri Akaal!
I just published an article on Gurmat and Amritsar. I'd love to get some feedback on it!
It deals with Guru Nanak and very briefly with the Ten Gurus, then with Amritsar and the Harmandir Sahib, with Langar and Sleeping in the Golden Temple.
I have really come to admire Sikhi, and would love to dive deeper into its traditions the next time I visit India! (I am a young guy, 21M, from Germany...)
Thanks everybody! Much appreciated!
PS: I know, I still have to add Gurmat as what Sikhs call their religion, I will edit that ASAP...
