A list of puns related to "Shrek the Third"
Sure, itβs the worst out of the four, but it isnβt TERRIBLE as everyone says. It does add lots of things to the main plot (like the triplets, Charmingβs final defeat, etc.). However this is the movie with the most awkward moments that made me pause the movie whenever they came up.
My personal ranking:
Shrek: 9/10
Shrek 2: 10/10
Shrek the Third: 7.5/10
Shrek: The Final Chapter: 9.5/10
I was just about to watch Shrek the Third on Netflix UK and it said that the movie isn't available in my region. So I refreshed the page and Shrek the Third was nowhere to be found. The other three are still on there, but the third one is gone.
Why has it been taken off of Netflix?
I've never gotten a decisive answer for this.
So the "joke" is when Shrek says "I'm proud to call you my frog... king dad-in-law." In his Shrek 3 Schaffrillas Productions followed this clip by saying "this movie really does take any opportunity to tease a swear word." The problem is I genuinely don't know what swear is being teased here. If you get the joke, please help me at least understand what they were going for.
I know this might seem extremely controversial, but let me explain,
I think the idea that Shrek the Third is bad is because at first viewing it as a kid it comes off bland. But trust me, as someone who has watched over 100 times, (only had Shrek trilogy at grandparents house), itβs true detail comes out through repetition.
I think the problem is that many modern viewers remember Shrek 1 + 2 as Cinematic masterpieces, but re-watching them, the amount of childish jokes at unbearable and they arenβt as great as I remembered them.
But with Shrek 3, there are a lot of deep themes like predestination and the idea of what does it take to be a leader. There were the odd joke, but 90% were successful at at least getting a chuckle. It is a film for all crowds.
Trust me, go back and watch the trilogy, I believe you will agree it is the best.
am i the only one who thinks that shrek the third is underrated? yes it occasionally has a βhip and with itβ joke but its not that often. a lot of the jokes are often absurdist, or as the layman calls it βwtf humorβ. the gingerbread flashback scene, DADA, frankincense and myrrh, etc.

Why couldn't The Queen have been ruler after her husband died? Some law that there MUST be a king at all times?
