What this phrase is meant to convey is that if you aim big and you might just get a fraction of what you first hoped to first accomplish; and that's better than nothing. However, the moon is way closer and easier to reach than the stars. Stars have glamor and mystery and a whole lot of extra distance...so why is getting to the stars "settling for less". I was in Valentine earlier today to sell some feathers to the butcher and noticed a nice horse tethered outside the saloon. Said hello to the horse and another player rode on up and went inside.
The original player was just minding his own, sat at a table with the catalogue open. The other fella was at the bar and starting to drink, for the dailies I assume. I joined him and a couple of other players arrived.
All was well and peaceful - drinks were being drunk, cigarette emotes being used also to get the daily, there was hat tipping and dancing at each other as well. As a solo player it was a really nice interaction as opposed to the shit show that several players in the Valentine saloon usually amounts too. That was, until I tried to light another cigarette using the emote (let’s face it, the emote is far better than normal smoking!) but accidentally shot one of the fellas. Non fatal but he promptly ended me in a couple of shots and that was that. I was slightly disappointed he didn’t realise it was an accident as nothing was remotely hostile until that point and any seasoned player knows emotes and aim are on the same button on PS4. That said, I can’t blame him either.
I’d love them not to use L2 as the button for both. I used to be godawful at using emotes, I’m better now but even as a level circa 250 I still fuck it up every so, and I know I’m not the only one!
A grovelling ‘I’m a right twat’ emote would be great, but I guess there is no guarantee I wouldn’t shoot them in the face again when I tried to use it!!
Has anyone else suffered similar at the hands of these emotes? And what emote would help you in the game, and why?!!!
