A list of puns related to "Share (finance)"
Hi! I'm new to this subreddit and like the title says I know nothing about finances, shares and all that stuff. I bought a share mostly because fuck hedge funds and I had some spare money. Do you have any recommendations such as YT channels, books, etc. for an utter beginner, please ππ?
π¦Apes together strong. Is that what you say here?
P.S: when will I become rich? I was promised a boat and a nice beach house in the Fiji Islands.
Edit: fuck, I made a typo in the title. Sorry, English is not my first language. When I become rich I promise I'll improve my English skills.
Edit2: Thanks for all the awards and the very kind words in the replies!
I'm of the opinion that honesty last the longest. If I had tried to keep my income and assets secret, there would have come a time where things got awkward and weird because I had essentially lied for years. I also equate being vague or lying by omission to just straight up lying.
Anyhow, me and my girlfriend of 2 years have decided we should move in together. She knew from the start that I had $60k in stocks, an apartment worth $140k and an income of $4300 per month after taxes. This might not seem like a fortune, but I live in a European country, and it's above average here (I converted all amounts into USD, because I think more people here know the value of dollars).
She has student loans of $55k and works in a cafΓ© where she gets $1850 a month. She also has no assets such as property or stocks. So, to the point of this post, we talked for a while about moving in together and she just assumed it meant I would pay of her student loans, use the money I get for selling my apartment to pay for the apartment we're getting together, and then that we split our salaries evenly. It also seemed like I was going to pay for a whole lot of stuff we apparently need.
My position was that maybe I flip the bill for the down payment of the loan (which is 15 % of of the totalt cost), then she takes a loan that she pays, and I pay my share in cash. That would mean she would get to live in an apartment for just a loan of 42.5 %. I've also previously paid for two vacations to the Caribbean.
Her position seems to be that I'm pretty much a psychopath unless I agree to split everything perfectly even. She has some valid points, such as how she works hard, and can't help that she couldn't get a job in the field she studied for, and how it would be weird if I just bought a bunch of stuff for myself and not share it. But at the same time, she made the bad decisions that landed her in this situation.
Overall, I think people in relationships should help each other, but I can't just solve 12 years of bad decision for someone else.
Hey guys,
I was looking to purchase a house for β¬160,000. To finance this I have a number of shares received from a past employer however if I sell them I will be stung for CGT. To this end I was wondering what options are available to avoid the cap gains on the significant profits made.
How can people's partners/wives/husband's not know they are in debt?
I've read some cases on this sub about people being in large amounts of debt and their other half not knowing about it.
Are we the only couple who share all financial responsibilities/information?
This is roughly how we work it.
Both our salaries get paid into the same account. Mortgage and household bills get taken out. Childcare etc gets taken out. Food and other stuff, we make sure the money is available for the month. We 'budget' the rest loosely i.e. written down I have Β£200 for kids clothing (it normally doesnt cost this so that gets kept in the bank). There's other things on the list like this.
There or thereabouts our outgoings could 'tightly' be covered by one salary. But who's salary that is doesn't matter because we literally share all finances.
A conversation in our house could be "I need a new phone, cool what phone, a Β£80 a month one, do you not think you can wait for that as you have just bought XYZ, oh yeah good point'. - the phone and cost here is irrelevant, I'm just trying to point out how conversations go. With everything being open and jointly discussed/decided. Another conversation could be 'ive just bought tickets to watch a concert, cool nice'. Like we have some unwritten boundaries so we are not spending lots of money on ourselves.
I earn the most. My partner's car costs the most. The fact that I earn more or her car costs more would never be used in a conversation/arguement or whatever. We just think that we are in this world together, we spend together, we save together. If we have it, we have it. If we don't, we don't. We also split credit card debt, so it's not all on one person.
I get lost to think couples get paid their own salaries into their own accounts. And then agree an amount of money to split the bills. Then spend whatever they have in their own accounts. Do people do this when one is earning a decent salary and the other on minimum wage? One has plenty of cash at the end of the month and one is scraping by?
I guess each to their own and what works for them. I am just wondering if there is anything wrong with the way we do things. Pros/Cons of each.
One major con is we can never buy each other surprises for Christmas π€£. I guess another more serious one is that it's a lot more to untangle should our relationship sour.

With digital assets, one the hurdles that currently exists is figuring out how to seamlessly allow merchants to accept multiple digital assets through a simple and common payrail, regardless of the digital asset.
Cells have a similar challange, how to utilizes energy from multiple types of molecules.
In biology, multicellular organisms, and even simple one cell organisms, need a temporary store of energy to handle multiple forms of biological molecules that contain energy, including surgars and carbarbohydrates (fructose, glucose, etc), fats (glycerol, fatty acids) and protein (amino acids). Fortunately, nature has crafted a wonderful solution for this problem. A small, organic compound named Adenosine triphoshate, which will go from ADP + P to ATP and then back to ADP + P. The phosphate bond is where the energy is stored. Throughout living organisms, from the simplest and least complex, prokaryotes, and large and complex multicellular animals, cells rely upon this simple and reliable method for energy transfer.

Wikipedia describes ATP as a "molecular unit of currency", in simple terms, many life processes, from growth, to movement, to reproduction, depend on this small little intermediary form of energy store in order to take all of the molecules we consume (fats, carbs, proteins) and to use the energy embedded in the bonds of these molecules - seamlessly by our cells.
While our digital currency solutions are still in the early stages, it is amazing and remarkable that a proposed solution crafted for finance and digital currencies, AMP, not only sounds very similar to ATP in name, but it has a similar role with facilitating monetary transactions from many forms of digital currency. Perhaps one day, AMP will be viewed as the 'molecular unit of cryptocurrency'.
Another user posted this from mobile. I have confirmed the same via web browser:

All of the share statistics are showing as "N/A". What in the jacked tits is going on here? Has anyone seen this before? Get this visible please.
Edit: For when they fix the "glitch" https://imgur.com/ZlMvzVS
Edit: Many other tickers are showing the same thing. Is this normal?
