A list of puns related to "Seven Mile Bridge"
In two of his Reddit comments Jack mentioned how he found the USGS historical topo maps helpful. I looked through the maps for the nine mile hole/seven mile bridge area. The only thing I found of interest was an abandoned cabin roughly due north of seven mile bridge on the 1958 topo map. I googled to find more info on it but came up empty handed. Anyone know anything about this cabin?

Iβm looking for a potential hoB. My gut says this cabin is not it because itβs too far away from the Madison to be useful as a wayfinder, it has no known significance to Fenn, and Jack inferred the hoB is the most riddle like so Iβd be surprised if it were literally the house of someone named Brown. But who knows!
Fwiw, hereβs what I remember reading from Jackβs comments that may be useful for identifying hoB:
most riddle like of the clues (though not intentionally, it was just how Fenn saw it)
while Jack said he found the topo maps helpful, he also said he didnβt spend a lot of time poring over maps and instead did a deep dive into Fennβs history and interviews
Jack was able to armchair hoB
someone on Reddit once proposed a theoretical hoB (that was the house of a person named Brown) and Jack said if he were investigating that as a hoB heβd be doing detailed research on Brownβs ties to Fenn or his family.
Brown is capitalized for a reason.
I welcome additional thoughts on the cabin on the 1958 map and on hoB more generally.
I was wondering if you can visit the broken part of the Bahia Honda Rail Bridge. Is it illegal? Has anyone done this before?
Seven Mile Bridge is an overlooked spot. It is the only crossing of the Madison River inside the park, and the pictures of his mom and sister holding fish were taken on the northern side of the Madison. I took this to mean it was the family fishing spot. At the picnic area are stairs leading into the riverβ¦a physical put in location. If Madison Junction is WWWH, which I believe is the start, the picnic area is the first spot below the Madison. Drive down the Madison Canyon until you are able to put in below the river. I used the origin of the surname as my definition: Brown is an English-language surname in origin chiefly descriptive of a person with brown hair, complexion or clothing. βItβ is the Madison Riverβ¦which is a key word. The water is high and strewn with boulders. On the other side of the river is the location. Trumpeter swans are known to nest here, with access limited during their mating season. Signs are posted to βkeep outβ during the restrictions, similar to the βdo not touchβ sign in the store. A lot of people in this area would not be good for the swansβ¦a reason not to reveal it. Youβre also exposed on the other side and youβre not supposed to leave the trail. You can drive and walk by (via the Gneiss Creek Trail) the northern bank. South of the Madison down stream is an eagle nest. I pondered their bald heads being a blaze. Head up the other side of the mountain to a point where you can see above the nest. I also observed a square, leveled, lichen covered rock on the north side of the Madison near the end of Riverside Drive. Nearby was lean-to. I never went back to this location as it was my first time crossing the Madison and I was gravitating towards Montana. Cynthia Meachumβs doodle from 24/7/20 reminds me of this spot.
Cousins Lyric Cook, 10, and Elizabeth Collins, 8, were riding their bikes on a Friday afternoon on July 13, 2012. Their grandma, Wylma, had last seen them riding their bikes towards downtown Evansdale at approximately 12:20 PM. Evansdale, Iowa is a small town with a population of 4,700 and is 10 miles southeast of Waterloo, which is the fourth most populous city in Iowa with a population of approximately 68,000. However, the two cities are close enough together that you can enter either city without any significant distinction from the other. The girls often rode their bikes together, but not for too long, as insisted by their caretakers. When they didn't return home on time as they always responsibly did, the family went searching for their girls at approximately 2:00 PM. When they were nowhere to be found, Wylma promptly alerted the authorities at 2:48 PM, reporting her grandchildren as missing.
A search ensued almost immediately. The location where the girls disappeared is approximately 15 miles away from an FBI field office, which likely contributed to the the rapid success of the search effort. Witnesses would later say the girls were last seen on Brovan Boulevard in Evansdale, and that they were spotted again by at 1:00 PM on Gilbert Drive, which was close to Meyers Lake. Meyers Lake is a popular recreation area where families often gather to catch prize fish. Hundreds of volunteers in the community participated in the search. Two days after their disappearance, the Lake had been partially drained in the hopes that they would find significant evidence, but turned up nothing. The search involved FBI dive teams, infrared-equipped aircraft, scent trail dogs, and cadaver dogs, but nobody could find any trace of the missing cousins. It wasn't until 5:00 PM that local firefighters discovered the children's bicycles as well as Elizabeth's belongings on a trail near the southeast corner of Meyers Lake. When the bicycles were found, it became apparent that the girls were in imminent danger, and that time was valuable. Fliers were posted around the community, pleading for the children's safe return.
The girls remained missing for 5 months. Their bodies were discovered on December 5, 2012, by hunters in a remote wooded area at Seven Bridges Wildlife Park in Bremer County, approximately 25 miles north from Meyers Lake. According to one source, Seven Bridges is in an isolated area with only one sign indicating its existence, suggesting that the perpetrator wa
