A list of puns related to "Service Prosecuting Authority"
Lets Presuppose that roe v wade is to be overturned - This leads with some interesting Dilemmas
Outside of a few states in the deep south or great plains, almost every person in most the united states is just a day trip to the nearest blue state border to get an abortion. While this would raise the price of an abortion, I doubt most pro-life supporters would be ok with this. While it would make some people to decide to just carry the fetus to term, I doubt pro-life would be happy with this state of affairs. It's likely that abortion providers will pop up at every border crossing in America in this scenario and abortion would still be in the millions per year.
The Alternative, which is to have a federal ban of abortion is unlikely either. Given in this scenario the court would have returned the regulating power to the states, why would they give it right back to the Federal Government? Additionally, this is unlikely to pass given current politics at the federal level.
The only real solution especially in the immediate future, and only for Red states you would have to attempt to prosecute or at least actively try to stop those who cross state lines for abortion with stuff like border checkpoints or criminal prosecution. This is murky constitutionally, but precedent and even the constitution can change. Would Pro-Life people support this kind of interference by the state? If you think Abortion is murder, do you think your state should try to prosecute things outside their jurisdiction in this case? Or is it just something where we have to accept that murder is happening without doing anything?
for this discussion Lets put aside whether people in red states would seek back alley tactics and prosecution of that, as it's irrelevant. Additionally, I will disclose I am pro-choice.
Overall, all pro-life would have accomplished would be making abortion as expensive/privileged as a day trip to nearest blue state. It wouldn't end abortion, and since half the population would naturally be in blue states at best it could halve them. Given especially that Abortion is often hand in hand with conservative politics, this makes this dilemma all the more hard for those who fit under this category.
Ultimately I think you can only come to two ultimate points if your pro-life and especially if your also conservative
I keep seeing posts all over the internet and all over the world where someone that knows they're infected with COVID-19 are out and about, doing their normal daily routine. I rarely hear about authorities actually prosecuting these people.
In my opinion, someone that knows is infected and fails to stay at home is criminally negligent. Someone who hosts a party with persons from multiple households which results in COVID-19 spread is criminally negligent. If an attendee of that party dies as a result of COVID-19, that could amount to involuntary manslaughter (although difficult to prove I guess)
I'm just thinking that until there are actual consequences for people, this is not going to stop. If there is one thing the last government shutdown and this pandemic have taught me is that we are incapable of self-regulating ourselves.
I'm fortunate to not have lost my job because of the pandemic, but I know others haven't been as lucky. Then you have people who actively do stuff that perpetuates this pandemic (pool parties, bars, etc.
I'm just wondering why this hasn't been criminalized in order to try to contain the spread?

Earlier today we facilitated a legal challenge to the Noida Authorities to revoke the mandatory imposition of Aarogya Setu under a threat of criminal imprisonment. As per a legal order those residing or entering Noida have been compelled to install Aarogya Setu. Failing to have Aarogya Setu on your phone would be criminally prosecuted under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code. To contest this egregious breach of personal liberty, we commenced proceedings of challenge through Ritwik who is an advocate based and residing in Noida. We are making the contents of this representation public to facilitate more people to file similar challenges to Section 144 orders which may arise in different parts of India.
The Government's contact tracing app Aarogya Setu literally means a path to health. But as we explained those who do not install it now risk being criminally prosecuted. This is through a direction issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on which more than 45 organisations and 100 individuals have asked for an urgent review.
To make this direction actionable, the Noida administration issued an order under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 compelling those residing or entering Noida to install Aarogya Setu failing which they would be criminally prosecuted under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code. This order was also tweeted by the Police Authorities. A copy of it is linked below.
We have detailed concerns and recommendations on the privacy and second order injuries caused by Aarogya Setu. To us it is a, "privacy minefield". From the lack of legality and safeguards there are good, practical reasons (such as it's impact on the battery life of users, or[
