A list of puns related to "Second Army (United Kingdom)"
[1446 Words]
In the Second World War, there were 3 significant nuclear arms development projects: Tube Alloys (British), Uranverein (Nazi Germany), and the Manhattan Project (USA). The first and third of these would go in to combine to form the final Manhattan Project, which would construct the first ever atomic bomb. Nazi Germanyβs nuclear arms project never succeeded as the nation fell before it could reach completion.
However, it is possible that the British never would have united with the Americans to form this unified Manhattan Project? So, letβs ask ourselves, what if the United Kingdom developed the Atomic Bomb?

BACKGROUND TO THE BOMB
The British Tube Alloys Project was significantly more advanced than the Manhattan Project at the time they unified. Even without unification, it is reasonable to estimate that the United Kingdom would have developed an atomic bomb themselves. However, this may have led to more nuclear information reaching the Soviet Government as the Soviets had more spies in Britain than America at that time.
Unlike the United States, Britain does not really have many wide, open, desert-like places where they could detonate an atomic bomb and leave their civilians unharmed. So, it is essential that Canada and Australia co-operate with Britain here. Canada did work with Britain on nuclear tech before the Manhattan Project and Australia would later help Britain with itβs own independent nuclear project in the 1950s and 1960s.
So, with less help from the Americans, but also less restrictions, the United Kingdom would develop the atomic bomb in January 1945. They were helped by the fact that they were in close proximity to Nazi Germany, so it was easier to send spies into Uranvereit to steal their information and also to access refugees from Nazi Germany who had worked for the German military at that time.

THE DETONATION OF HAMBURG
The United Kingdom had done it. With the help of several key Canadian scientists, a few French refugees who were once part of the French nuclear program, and the Australian testing grounds, the British now possessed the most dangerous and powerful weapon ever built. Now, they had to decide where to drop it.
Berlin was a no-go. That would eliminate Adolf Hitler and most members of his senior government and military leadership, which would cripple Nazi Germany. This would leave nobody left to sign a national article of surrender, meaning that
... keep reading on reddit β‘The United Kingdom, known for being the money laundering centre of the world, through her terrorities, always has ensured that wealth has been kept within the elite and the general public have no or limited access to ownership and control of the fundamental institutions.of wealth.
It has became increasingly obvious that the world will be shifting towards digital currency, and in all likelihood, countries will carry out their transactions through XRP ledger, but that is another topic that I won't go into just now. There are plenty of videos on YouTube etc that cover XRP.
What I did want to talk about is how the United Kingdom is putting in measures to prevent the regular Joe investing in crypto, and how this isn't for the public's benefit, as they pretend to claim. Rather, with crypto and digital currency about to explode in the coming decade, the elite want to be those who are holding this wealth, not members of what they see as the underclasses.
The first, and most obvious blocker to the general public, is that an increasing number of UK banks have made it impossible to make payments into crypto platforms such as Binance etc. Now, there are still ways around this but it involves extra steps, something that many of their customers will not be aware of, or quite frankly could be bothered doing.
In addition to this, we have saw the UK Treasury get involved and for those who are already involved in crypto and have an account in Binance for example, will be required to provide information by mid February 2022 about their levels of investment. Providing nthe information is quite simple and the platform you use will prompt you on this. The reason behind this though is to prevent regular members of the public accessing all features of Binance.
Finally all this has been backed up by certain media coverage about the dangers and basic FUD regarding crypto.
Now, this is where I see real hypocrisy kicking in by the UK banks. The reason they claim for all this activity is to protect their customers. First of all they say the prevention of payments to crypto platforms is because having crypto means you are open to being a victim of fraud. Now of course there is some truth to this, but the answer isn't to prevent all access to the general population.
Furthermore, for those already involved, they are attempting to limit their activity under the guise of stopping customers getting caught up in risky behavior. But here is the kicker, for decades, UK banks have all

North Humberside. The latter hasn't existed since the mid-90s but my bank, car insurance, home insurance and various other big companies still have it as the county name.
Grrrrrr.

Scientific Research & Technological Advances
Technology has been moving forward in leaps and bounds over the last decade. Weapons are going from brand new to obsolete within a matter of years. Military planning must become flexible in order to keep up with innovations in technology, requiring a comprehensive rethink of military policy.
Innovation should be focused on key sectors of the military, with emphasis on the defence of the British nuclear deterrent, extending the capabilities of Britainβs nuclear deterrent, and improving the effectiveness of infantry on the battlefield.
With the advance of military technology. Commonwealth co-operation on the research & development of new technologies is of growing importance. Great Britain already works strongly with Australia, and should rebuild this relationship with Canada and other commonwealth nations.
Great Britainβs Responsibilities
Great Britain must undertake a responsibility to deter and resist any aggression across the globe that may threaten regional or global peace.
Britainβs Armed Forces must be willing & capable of defending British Colonies and protected territories against local attack by any reasonable means necessary.
The global trend is towards the creation of integrated allied forces. Britain should begin talks with the United States to strengthen their mutual relations to levels matching or exceeding those seen during the second world war.
Nuclear Deterrent
Whilst strong consideration must be made to prevent war, consideration must also be made in preparing for a nuclear war and its aftermath, in both the short term, and the long term. Serious talks concerning both the Nuclear Deterrent and its defense must be at the forefront of British military planning in the years ahead.
The British Government should begin studying the costs & logistics of establishing an urban missile bunker program to protect a select number of civilians in the event of a nuclear attack, based on the presumption that nuclear attacks would likely be focused on London and other major cities.
At present, Britainβs nuclear deterrent is based around the V Bomber program, consisting of three advanced bomber designs rivaling any contemporary designs from other nations. Within the next decade, it will be supplemented by domestically produced ballistic missiles which are currently undergoing development.

A genuine question: why is Harry called "the savior of the entire Wizarding World" when mostly the United Kingdom was in danger? As far as I remember wizards around the world didn't really consider Voldemort a real actual threat or even KNEW how much danger Voldemort could pose, at least not as much a British wizards knew.
Why didn't J.K.Rowling make Dumbledore invite a bunch of powerful and talented wizards and witches from ALL AROUND THE WORLD (not just UK) in Order of Phoenix in fifth book, so that they can help local wizards with their fight against Voldemort and also to protect Harry and support him??? Remember, Dumbledore was an extremely famous, respected and popular 113 year old wizard, we get the impression he is known all around the world; why didn't he use that popularity, respect and charm to invite people all around the world to help Harry and the Order of Phoenix? Where are the Americans, Asians. Australians, Africans? The rest of the Europeans?
Did J.K.Rowling simply didn't want to include many helpful wizards from other continents and places, did she simply want to focus on British folks since she herself is British?
All I'm trying to say is that in our fandom there's this belief that Harry is the savior of the entire Wizarding World and I'm a bit skeptical how true that is. I do think that Harry is the savior of wizarding world of United Kingdom (that's absolutely true!), but the whole world?? Isn't that a bit exaggerating?
If J.K.Rowling wanted me to believe that the entire Wizarding World was depending on Harry, then she should have introduced wizards from all around the world (not mostly UK) and then I would've believed Harry's title as the World savior.
Following the announcement of Imperator: Rome and its ensuing development cycle, I posted a small series detailing the conflicts and factions of the ancient world. Given the relative interest of those posts and my much stronger interest in the Victorian period, I thought I would do something similar for Victoria's release.
So, that said, hello and welcome to my first installment of a series detailing the world of Victoria 3. I'll start by talking about the 8 Great Powers as depicted at the start date of Victoria II: The United Kingdom, France, Russia, Austria, Prussia, Spain, The United States and the Ottoman Empire, in that order. If there is enough interest, I'll follow it up with a mix of the major conflicts of the era, minor powers that would rise to prominence within the game's time frame, and the important political and economic changes that would affect the world between 1836 and 1918. As a brief disclaimer, these posts will often fail to do justice to the nuance and depth of reality, and are meant as a summarised version of topics. I will be posting sources and references as a comment below. I strongly recommend using those sources and others if you want a deeper understanding.
The United Kingdom was, by 1836, the preeminent power of the world. Her industrial might was unmatched, her navy twice as strong as the nearest competitor, and her flag could be found flying on every inhabited continent of the world. Britain would remain as number one throughout the entire span of this game's time frame, at least to contemporaries who could not possibly imagine the sun ever setting on the world's greatest ever Empire - by 1936 the power of the British Empire was held more in its perception than reality, and the cracks in its stability were adequately papered to the outside world. Throughout the nineteenth century, though, Britain would go from strength to strength, dominating trade, the ocean and eventually becoming the largest Empire the world has ever seen.
Before we get to diplomacy and the situation abroad, however, I first want to discuss the political and demographic landscape of Britain in 1836. Throughout the first thirty years of the 19th century, Britain had barely begun to feel the consequences of the technological advances from the end of the 18th century. A mass migration of rural workers to the cities, alongside a population boom that almost tripled
