Early in last night's broadcast of the Scripps National Spelling Bee finals, Taylor was name-dropped in one of the example sentences:
"The doctor reassured Daniela that what she thought was torticollis was, in fact, just the painful result of being the shortest person at the Taylor Swift concert."
Incredibly, this is the third straight year that the Spelling Bee broadcast has referenced Taylor in an example sentence:
2019 - "One famous mondegreen is the phrase 'Starbucks lover' from a song by Taylor Swift."
2018 - "Jasmine realized the speaker was spouting pseudepigrapha as soon as he quoted Moses saying ‘Haters gonna hate hate hate hate hate, baby. I’m just gonna shake shake shake shake shake. Shake it off.'"
Obviously, there's a closet Swiftie on staff for the Bee coming up with these sentences!
