How did medieval Europeans think about race (if at all)? Do any writings survive on the subject of racial differences (skin tone, et al) and what, if any, significance was attributed to these differences? Was there any medieval corollary to the β€œscientific racism” of the 19th & 20th centuries?

Are you appalled at the scientific racism of these Canadian doctors?

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/ontario-girl-stem-cell-donor-1.6073995

A mixed race (Persian/European) child in Canada needs a stem cell donor to treat her dyskeratosis congenita but is having trouble finding a suitable donor because of her genetic heritage.

Clearly this isn't right?

Race is just a skin colour and only a social construct according to left-wing / liberal anthropologists and sociologists. There are no meaningful genetic differences by "race." None whatsoever. Zilch. Nada.

Anyone of ANY "colour" should be able to donate to this little girl and be a match.

The doctors are clearly just secret Nazi pseudoscientific racists.

Critical race theory is the Holy Grail of scientific racism.

One of the biggest difficulties with maintaining a racially stratified system was always the task of defining different races, and saying where one race ended and another began, and why that was. Old guard white supremacists made the mistake of turning to biology and neuroscience for their theories of race. The reason this was a mistake was because those are physical sciences, which makes it harder to fudge data to fit a political agenda. This resulted in an infamous variety of Lilliputian pseudosciences that eventually were widely recognized as fraudulent.

Critical race theory has discovered a clever way of circumventing this problem.

First, you emphatically admit upfront that race is a ridiculous and arbitrary social construct. This is a stroke of genius; if anyone calls out how absurd your concept of race is, you can simply agree and move on.

Then, you reimplement race under sociology. Even though race isn't real, the argument goes, it's such a powerful social construct that it may as well exist, and therefore must be acknowledged and compensated for.

β€œThe only remedy to racist discrimination is antiracist discrimination. The only remedy to past discrimination is present discrimination. The only remedy to present discrimination is future discrimination.”

--Ibram X. Kendi, How to Be an Anti-Racist

Note how he just trails off into the indefinite future. He doesn't even throw in a token reassurance that after enough of this counter-discrimination, race will wither away. Kendi styles himself as an enemy of gradualism, but that's fundamentally what this is. We can't just not be racist now, says Kendi, and neither can our children. Before one can even make a credible attempt to not be racist, an untold number of generations have to keep hating and discriminating and condemning one tribe's chauvinism while celebrating another's.

And thus, due to a historic achievement of social engineering, we can now enjoy a sustainable system of racism that owes nothing to physical science, and is thus much harder to definitively falsify. Each generation is free to construct and justify a new system of ethnic prejudice according to its own needs and whims.

Now, it isn't even necessary to come up with some balderdash to explain the difference between one drop off blood and two. When race "exists", but as a social construct, the only sort of question to answer is "Well, the average person on the street would say she's Black, am I right?"

r/DesiMeta Encouraging Doxxing, Leaking of Private Information, Harassment Of Anyone Who Isn't A Hindu Nationalist, As Well As Encouraging Scientific Racism And Hatred Against Non-Upper-Caste Hindus

r/DesiMeta is a sub which regularly engages in doxxing, targeted harassment, and mass reporting of anyone who disagrees with their extreme form of Hindu nationalism howsoever slightly:https://www.reddit.com/r/DesiMeta/comments/kteepi/casteist_anti_rajput_violent_hate_speech_from/

A user who happened to call out a member of the Rajput caste (after being called casteist slurs first) was brigaded and doxxed by users of r/DesiMeta

"If you or anyone has the will and time complain about chaurasiya to press council of India.

Yes complaining works if the complaint is substantial. It would hurt his career aspirations."

Openly encouraging doxxing and harassment of users for having a different opinion. Unlike other subs, they never hide the username of commenters they take a screenshot of, for their posts. They break every privacy rule of Reddit.

"And the police. This man is a journalist at newslaundry". Based on just the username of the Redditor, they want an actual journalist of a left wing news source to be arrested and dismissed from their job for something they might not even have done.

Another article where they call for doxxing "Is doxxing such people a bad idea?" -"Of course not. These low life bottom scrapers need to be identified, pissed upon and let the law drive a long stick up their bottom less wide arse." https://www.reddit.com/r/DesiMeta/comments/l8ipan/librandu_calls_for_a_genocide_of_brahmins/

If this is not doxxing and targeted harassment, nothing is. Now let's observe the behavior of r/DesiMeta doxxers themselves:

https://www.removeddit.com/r/DesiMeta/comments/m0ia40/indian_feminism/gqalqul

"Hitler was a white supremacist who wished he had as much Aryan genetics as a Brahmin or Kshatriya. I am far more than he could ever be."

Here's another thread showing their level of racism and hatred for the majority of the population:

https://np.reddit.com/r/DesiMeta/comments/m0ia40/indian_feminism/

>"You mean intelligible Brahmins, Kshatriyas, and Vaishyas who aren't lactose intolerant monkeys and have glorious R1a Steppe Herder genetics? The same UCs who also created this country, religi
