A list of puns related to "Sackler family"
The rage I get from thinking of stuff like this is insane
The shows are very different and preaching very different message. There are more differences than similarities but what they do have in common is a Billionaire family and their impact on America. While the Roys/Logan are destroying an intangible part of society by attacking and shaping the minds and views of the masses for worse, the Sacklers and Purdue Pharma quite literally and knowingly killed Americans to turn a buck. The Sacklers are greed and evil personified.
All the times you thought about how anyone could get away with the terrible things done by the people in Succession, it is drop in the ocean compared to the literal murder that the Sackler family got away with in real life. What is funny is more people will know the names of the Roy family than have even heard about the Sackler family and the Sacklers/Purdue Pharma likely had a hand in the death/addiction of someone somewhere connected to you.
I love Succession for what it shows us of the human condition but quite a few of us fall in love or defend any number of different individuals from the show. It is probably an exercise in fiction or fantasy and not our real feelings about the characters but watching Dopesick it really puts into perspective the gulf in our lives and theirs.
All that aside the show/miniseries Dopesick is actually a very good watch with some amazing performances. Most everyone brings their A-game in terms of ensemble but Michael Keaton, Rosario Dawson, and Kaitlyn Dever in particular are great as the two sides of the same coin in terms of the human tragedy unfolding. It really is a good watch, albeit gut wrenching especially if you know someone who has gone through addiction.
Just thought I'd recommend a show for y'all as the long wait for Succession Season 4 begins!
Thatβs the secret. They fuel the opioid crisis or something.

Behold one of any bourgeois legal system's most important purposes. Police reform cannot destroy this.
No matter how cushy we make all this shit, the proletariat will never be protected from class war waged from above and exploitation. There is no huge drive to rehabilitate our brothers and sisters, and no plan to recreate society such that it no longer breaks the body of the worker.
Last year the pharmaceutical industry spent $6 billion+ advertising prescriptions. Your body is being slowly, permanently damaged to enrich the owners, and insurance companies are cackling at you.
