A list of puns related to "Romani people in Turkey"
The crimihe/crimihim/crimiselfs rise up in /r/tumblr, as it becomes a battle of horribly white savior americans, based (racist) europoors, and thieving """Romani"""" duke it out in the comments.
Lots of spiciness in the post, one chain given, ribbed for his pleasure:

And the thread was y'alled, but apparently people can behave because it's not locked yet.
Just like every year I waited till the last moment and now I'm scrambling to get a quality turkey for the annual food coma celebration.
Any place still have good turkeys in stock?
I am an American, living in Missouri, from my several visits and time living in Rome, Italy, I noticed that there seemed to be an extreme prejudice against the Romani People. When asked about the Romani people, many Italians casually joked that they "were not people" and did not deserve human rights. I was told about legislation in Rome that actively kicked all Romani people out of the city of Rome, and there seemed to be little sign of advocates for Romani rights, even after speaking to Roman Attorneys, and visiting the Roman Supreme Court.
Was I simply speaking to the wrong people? It didn't even seem as if people were ashamed of their open racism against those people, which to me spoke to a sign of a culture that accepts such behavior openly. I am sure that many Italians are not this way, and am curious how Italians feel about this.
TLDR: What do Italians feel about the Treatment of Romani people in Italy?
Many of you are probably familiar with Roma stereotypes (very negative ones). Is it similar in the Arab world?
I tried to come up with a redesign option for the Romani People flag where the RGB contrast issue in the original could be minimized without changing the original colors. The North Korea Flag inspired me to swap the color of the mandala wheel on the original flag to emphasize the weel without changing too much the red (bond to earth) chakra symbology. Its longer 1:2 proportion on also inspired me to suggest the notion of "ground" and "long distances", offering more horizontality than in the not-so-wide original Romani Flag.

That stereotype had to have come from somewhere and surely had negative consequences, especially against an already reviled minority. Jewish folk were targetted in a similar way but i'm wondering how much of that impacted the Roma.
I'm having a difficult time finding information here. I research my genealogy as a hobby, and some of my DNA results seem to indicate a Roma ancestor in the last 3-8 generations.
I've found one passing reference to Roma close to the area my family is from just before the Civil War, but that's really it.
Was it considered odd that lennon was putting out pop singles while the Beatles were still (publicly at least) still a band? Sure Paul had done the family way, George had wonderwall, and lennon had two virgins but lennons 3 singles could've been beatles songs. Did it fuel breakup rumors?
So a while back, I stumbled upon this song by Romanian singer, Nicole Guta:

Hilarious video, I know.
But as a Jat, the guy looked very similar to the guys I grew up around. Heck, you could've shot this video in any Haryana village.
I googled a bit more and learned more about the Romani people who trace a lineage back to Rajasthani people in the 11th century.
According to researchers, "Roma came from a single group that left northwestern India about 1,500 years ago. They reached the Balkans about 900 years ago"
Some of them even look Indian
Altogether, really fascinating!
