What follows is each game with a rating out of 10 and some of my thoughts on what I liked and didn't like about each one. Hope you enjoy and let me know what you think!
Aggelos (Switch) 6.5/10
Nice little retro inspired 2D action platformer with light metroidvania qualities. It looks good, has a nice soundtrack, and controls really well. Some of the bosses are a bit tough and dying at them can be a bit punishing. Not having an actual map really makes the backtracking and looking for items extremely frustrating.
Assassin's Creed Unity (Xbox One) 7/10
I had never played an Assassin's Creed game before but wanted to try out a game in the series. I was able to get this for about $1 and loved the setting of Revolutionary Paris so I was excited to get started. Since this is the 8th installment in a huge franchise, the playstyle is already well established and can be a bit difficult for a newcomer like myself to get into at first which was definitely true here. After wrapping my head around the controls and gameplay structure, I really got into it. Exploring the city and being put in cool situations where you have to kill someone and escape was extremely entertaining for me and never got to be too much. Highlights include the sewer mission as well as climbing the Eiffel Tower.
Battletoads (Xbox One) 7/10
Took a really dated and impossibly hard franchise and brought it into the modern world with this latest entry. I enjoy all the variety (beatemup, warioware like mini-games, schmup, platformer, puzzles, turbo tunnel) as well as the voice acting/story which is a bit cheesy but in a saturday morning cartoon kind of way. Some parts are tough but not unreasonably so.
Blasphemous (Switch) 8/10
Great metroidvania with a unique setting and themes that sets it apart from others. It's definitely on the harder side (especially for me when I went down a harder path before I was supposed to) but it gets more manageable once you get used to the combat and are able to get some much needed upgrades. Speaking of the combat, it's more deliberate than other metroidvanias so you have to be more considerate of dodging and countering which at times can slow the pace down but also supplies more of a challenge.

With so many games releasing nowadays, I think it's easy for the good ones to get lost in the shuffle. I'm going to list 60 upcoming local multiplayer games releasing in the future. This is just a tiny fraction of whatβs on the horizon, as Steam alone received 10,263 games in 2020. Iβm going to order the games by release date. If the game does not have a tangible release date, Iβll place it in the list based on what I think is more likely to come out first, based on marketing material and communication from the developers.
Note that the platforms listed are just whatβs confirmed, and a platform not being listed doesnβt necessarily mean a game wonβt come to said platform. Sometimes it is difficult to find information on what platforms a game will be on, and sometimes the developer doesnβt even know until later down the line. In a lot of cases, indie games will release on Steam first and then come to consoles later. For example, Trash Sailors released on Steam yesterday, but it wonβt be on Switch until February 17, 2022.

For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"

Kaga has recently begun work on remaking the Sacred Sword of Silvanister so it can be up to date with the latest version of SRPG Studio. The remake is currently going through the play testing phase. You can download it here: https://ci-en.net/creator/11872/article/570288. I encourage you give Kaga some feedback to improve the experience. Here is a list of all the changes made in each version. Apologies if the text is a bit vague. I don't speak Japanese and just used DeepL to translate them.
Update: Kaga has said he also plans to remake Vestaria Saga: War of the Scions as well with similar changes.
General info
The game has been renamed Vestaria Saga II: The Sacred Sword of Silvanister as it feels more like a true sequel than a side story and to avoid confusing western players. Dangan Entertainment has confirmed the remake will be the final product for the English translation. Vestaria Saga II will also be renamed Vestaria Saga III to accommodate this change. Vestaria Saga III is stated to be the final chapter of the story.
The screen has been increased to a 1280 x 720 resolution.
The title screen art has been changed.
There is only one difficulty and there have been many adjustments made to accommodate this change.
At the end of the game, a screen will appear showing the number of battles a unit has fought, won and their EXP gain. It also shows the same for NPC units who have helped you throughout the game as well.
The game is overall easier.
You can now save anytime instead of every five turns.
Most of the music has been changed.
Battle lag is fixed.
EXP intake has been increased by 20.
The sound that plays when gaining stats during level-ups is the same as in VS1.
HP bars have been added to the map sprites. There are two types of HP bars to choose from and you can turn them off.
Untradeable items will no longer be sent to the stockpile if a unit's inventory is full.
Enemies can now use Canto after attacking.
Enemy AI has been adjusted so they no longer attack units if they calculate that they are unable to damage the unit. This has a significant effect on Chapters 12 and 20. For Chapter 12, the Distance Archers who use Flame Bows who are meant to be taken out by Bennett will target Laurec and the others stuck behind the cliff if Bennett's resistance is higher than 4. In Chapter 20, it is a lot more difficult to use your armored units to defend the walls.

##Prologue
Rain has a recurring dream of a burning city. The same dream he used to have as a child. Heβs been scouring the world looking for damage done by the Hollow while also searching for clues about Levonia.
Then a distortion appears near Rainβs airship and he goes to investigate it.
##Unknown Lands
Rain wakes upβ¦ in an unknown land. Apparently, the airship pilot did not listen when told not to get too close to the distortion. A cactus monster with regenerative powers forces Rain to use his blood aids to defeat it. Two more monsters appear but Rhus and Nelikka appear (the two from the end of S3) and kill them. Turns out Rainβs earlier blood aids on the airship opened the portal to Levoniaβ¦ conveniently.
Airy from Bravely Default got a new job as Niini in this game. I trust her. The group heads to the Republic of Sherna.

Rusty and Nelicker have a power stronger than blood aids (blood covid?) and they need that to stand up to βthem.β Rusty and Nelicker then directly and succinctly tell Rain who βthemβ is and what the new power isβ¦ Nah, Iβm just fucking with you. He has to take an examination before they will tell him anything.
What does get explained though is the new monsters are strong because of the Omega cores which have been attaching to creatures. Itβs R/Nβs duty to collect these cores. Not much is known about Omega itself besides being a superboss from FFV an unknown lifeform that came from the sky many ages past. cough Lavos cough And get this, an ancient civilization tried to control the power of Omega and led to the nationβs downfall. cough Zeal cough

i know there is a gen 5 and 6 mystery dungeon but i don't like them as much.
Think about it, every single pokemon up to gen 3 has a walking/attacking sprite (from 4 different angles) a sleeping sprite, a damaged sprite, and this game came out in 2005...how is that possible? The sprites arenβt even low quality so I donβt understand how they did it
