Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
This might seem like a cheap question, but I don’t mean for it to be in that sort of a context. I do wonder what his financial standing is. Since he has done only two films so far - of which one is an indie film that didn’t fare too well and the other, while being as mainstream, how much could he have possibly been paid right? As it is most actors make more money from avenues besides the actual film payments. His PR comes off mild but doesn’t hesitate to promote him and Janhvi and then him and Ananya — the antics are there. So he’s not been that sellable, he has only one endorsement I’ve seen and that’s Spotify. Neither of his parents are prominent actors as such, so he clearly doesn’t come from as much money either. But he went to Jamnabai and did IB, and that could’ve cost quite a bit. Does Shahid support him? Although from Ishaan’s quarantine interviews and Instagram posts he lives in an extremely modest home. It was nice and refreshing to see. I still am surprised he moves in elite circles. I can believe he is an indie darling and has pull to get by Majidi and Mira Nair because he actually is already a terrific actor with great film sensibility. But how did he get KJo to sign him for a Dharma film, let alone an anticipated big film with legend Sridevi’s daughter! He’s not the quintessential nepo to KJo, I mean he’s not flashy, rich or a case of close network like it may be with Ananya Pandey and Shanaya Kapoor. He definitely didn’t have much of a name either. Shahid Kapoor is also a recluse himself, he’s friends with KJo and has known him a long time, but they’re definitely not close at all. Shahid himself has rarely done Dharma films and has way too many flops to his name, but is talented and also a preference of many serious directors. KJo is not his scene. How do Ishaan Khatter’s networks and finances work!
