Sending email from Emacs using quoted-printable to avoid hard-wrapping

I've recently set up my email config in Emacs. It works great, but one thing that bugs me is that Gmail doesn't support showing (or composing, but that's irrelevant) format=flowed email, and emails look like the before picture on mobile due to hard-wrapping (this package no longer works since Gmail stopped respecting f=f :/). Doing some more searching, I found that the quoted-printable encoding can be used to send (plaintext) mail without hard-wrapping, but keeping under the SMTP limit. I tested this manually and it works; there's also other blog posts confirming this.

Now, I can't get Emacs to use this encoding when sending mail. Reading through the Emacs MIME Manual, I tried changing mm-content-transfer-encoding-defaults, mm-body-charset-encoding-alist, and mm-use-ultra-safe-encoding but nothing happened and outgoing emails have no Content-Transfer-Encoding header. Running M-: (mml-to-mime) on something like:

<#part type=text/plain encoding=quoted-printable>
... (longer than 76 chars)
<#/part>

Doesn't result in an encoding header (or any change to text) either (neither does encoding=base64). The function quoted-printable-encode-region works, though. Besides the manual (which doesn't help here), I haven't found much in the way of resources for these Emacs MIME functions.

I've also posted about this issue on the mailing list but didn't get a solution. I'm convinced the easy fix (aside from making Gmail support f=f) is to send email as quoted-printable, and Emacs has had qp.el since 1998, so this should be well-supported. Does anybody else use Emacs with their Gmail and have this issue?

Thanks!

Selling printables with quotes?

I'm starting an Etsy shop for the first time (teacher here trying to start a side business) and I'm planning on selling printables/digital downloadable products. I'm hoping to sell a small variety of digital products, ranging from patterns to invitations and, possibly, quotes. Now, I know that it's not legal to sell quotes from printed materials like books (and movies, I assume) unless that material has moved into the public domain, but what about quotes that were just said by someone? I see so many people selling quotes on different printables on Etsy, but as a first timer, I want to make sure I'm selling as legally as I possibly can. Is adding quotes to printables or physical items something that's legal, or just something people are doing in the hopes that no one notices? What if I were to sell more of a "Add your custom quote" kind of printable, where I could have the buyer send me the quote they want. If I'm not advertising the quote on my product, does that change any possible copyright infringement? Sorry if this is an obvious question. I just want to make sure I'm not doing anything that will get my shop in trouble.
