A list of puns related to "Quality Assurance International"
SQA paying $27/hr and SWE paying $17/hr. This would be my first internship(currently a sophomore). I am in some financial need right now so canβt completely ignore money.

I'm a graduate mech engineer who recently got an offer for a position to work at a quality assurance plant responsible for industrial valves, such as in mining, wastage and chemical manufacturing. I don't know the complete details since this job wasn't advertised since it's unavailable for about another month.
The senior manager from the head office gave me the option of the technical sales support job l applied to and this one. l was so far informed that l would be using CAD to simplify or improve designs, also checking the quality of parts from subcontracted manufacturers.
What are some of the things l could routinely expect in this sort of position or field? Is there any questions l should ask during the interview and site walk-through?
Thanks for your help :)
From today's email blast. I assumed these plastic shells would've been readily available for months/years at this point. /u/tonytgd even has one himself! I like how they just kind of danced around the entire premise that pre-orders and founders would get their complete sets yet this year.
>As we progress and accomplish goals in the production phase of manufacturing, we want to share one of our recent achievements while we continue to navigate our release date. > >Our pilot production plastics are in! We will use these plastics for the final verification of mass production tooling setup and processing. They will also be used in our initial run with our contract manufacturer, giving the manufacturing team an opportunity to validate various assembly and quality control processes in preparation for mass production.
...and it makes me wish they could just come back to work for idTech again. Make a new Heritic 3 or Hexen 3 and show Valve how counting works. Really though, it's quite sad how Activision has turned them into nothing more than the studio that helps cover the other studios that make COD get things done on time or fixed.
At some point in Nov there was a BOGO.. got a marshmallow fireside.. just started burning it the other day.. barely any throw. Previous one made the entire room smell amazing. Candle day purchase of Paris cafe.. issues with wax melting evenly then after a couple burns my wicks basically disappeared and now I use it under my candle warmer. And a couple others have had low throw smells, can't remember which ones now, off top of my head, Christmas Cider.. Couple of candles recently came with uneven wax.. just small things. But with the increased cost for candle (even though I don't pay the full price) things like this are highly frustrating. Trying the marshmallow fireside in candle warmer. No throw.. very frustrating since it's my favorite winter smell and just in general the lack of quality assurance

As far as I can tell, this game does not possess any. I found this bug [Preemptively removing link to bug report about Abbasid Upgrades] within 5 minutes of opening the game and picking Abbasid in a custom lobby.
This is really truly unacceptable and not at all normal. Iβve been playing video games since I was a little kid, and Iβve been a full time software developer for the past year. Having been on both sides of the wall, I can tell you with certainty that a bug this trivial to find should never ever go out into the playerβs hands. This is just absurd, for players to wait a month to get a hotfix for several gamebreaking bugs (relic duplication, stone bug), to only instantly introduce a new one thatβs so easy to abuse it probably happens by accident in a huge number of games.
Not only the engineers directly working on the game, but the whole organization (Worldβs Edge) needs to take a step back and ask themselves what the hell is going on. Why did software engineers/game designers accept this patch? Why didnβt the current QA processes catch this? Why was there no public beta/PTR? Why did the patch take so long in the first place? What is making things hard? Why are you trying to promise a ranked system and UGC creation tools and all this other stuff if you canβt get the basics right?
And this isnβt even speaking about the random other issues that I have with the patch - lack of nerfs for springalds, random horsemen nerfs, delhi getting nerfed to the ground for no reason. But honestly, that stuff doesnβt matter at all. The game is super fun even if 1 civ is really bad for no reason. But if even 1 person in a 4v4 game picks Abbasid and has the audacity to play the game in a relatively normal fashion, then the game is ruined.
One thing I want to make absolutely clear is that I understand, from a personal perspective, why bugs like this can get out. Engineers make mistakes (I make mistakes!). But if there is a deliberate failure at every single step of the way to produce a quality product, then itβs not any single engineerβs or managerβs fault. The reality is that there is some Director/Principal/Partner who has no goddamn idea whatβs going on underneath him, and has no idea on how to release software with quality, how to build a team, how to have the right processes etc. And honestly, that person probably needs to
... keep reading on reddit β‘I have seen people in tech industry thinking of QAs as someone who is below them. This also gets reflected in salary, perks and job security. How do you feel about this? And in terms of feeling a sense of purpose and adding an impact what do think quality assurance means personally to you or to your product/service?
He was super excited about the progress, says the game is shaping up nicely, and is going to be badass!
Not an encounter I was expecting at the hospital, but awesome all the same!
