I have a missile I’ve scripted to be able to point at a target, plus its velocity, to attempt to lead the target and help encourage a collision. The issue I am running into is that the lead angle is too shallow at greater distances, and too steep up close; the missile wants to follow a set point a certain distance ahead of the target, rather than move that point closer or further proportional tp the distance between the two objects;It keeps missing ahead on collision attempt, but dragging behind on initial approach.

I have a circle on the missile that wants to point at the intended lead point, and a hinge that’s always trying force a bendtarget of 0. The result is that the missile points, and in turn accelerates, at the designated lead point. This works just fine, and I have augmentations that cause the missile to fly like it has aerodynamics instead of just accelerating ballistically.

My issue is not how it flies - it can turn quite well, in a tight circle. It flies straight as an arrow and resists drifting in a turn, though it still has some sideslip when turning hard at high speeds.

Rather, the issue I’m having is in the proportions of the lead angle: if the target is traveling right at 25m/s, the missile will attempt to point at a point in space that is 25 meters ahead of the target, whether the missile is 5 meters away or 500. What I NEED is the correct integration of variables into my equation that makes the ratio correct, and so that this lead distance varies proportionally to the distance between the target and its pursuing missile; if the target is far away, the missile should want to point far ahead of the target so that the two meet, whereas if the target is right next to it, the missile should practically point directly at it.

I’ll share some of the code I’m using:

If anyone could correct my problem, I would be eternally grateful! I’ve been cracking at it for a while and just can’t get it to work right, I usually end up breaking the code and making the missile behave incorrectly

Why I get this error? Shouldn't the element to the right of Yprime(1) be a number (and not an array)?

Just wondering if anyone can suggest which direction I should take my Math EE. It's on pursuit curves, and so far I can only think of finding the equation of the curve or solve a pursuit curve related problem. Any other ideas?

Hello all, I am creating a simple program to model pursuit curves with the user being able to change some inputs. I received this project from my Calculus professor, but I want to be as proactive as possible and see if I can't grasp something more about pursuit curves.

I was going into this thinking that I would just be able to create some functions while just understanding the inputs and how they affect the outputs, and not have to grasp the whole thing mathematically.

However, I am finding that maybe this isn't the case.. I have spent a bit of free time trying to understand and research general pursuit curves, but am finding out they are much more advanced than I previously thought.

I want my program to do something very similar to the gif on the wolfram first link.

So what I really want help with is to understand which equation does which, and where it's getting another symbol and what it's doing in this new equation... If that isn't clear, let me know and I'll try to elaborate what I want help with more..

P.S. I am an undergraduate Computer Science major, and while I love math and find it so very interesting and awesome, it is NOT my forte. I am quite average/sub-average at arithmetic.

On page 8, what do they mean by 'equating coefficients'. Is it because V_b=(dx/dt)i+(dy/dt)j, and if so does it not matter that the terms on the RHS are in unit vectors?

Hey Repladies ✨ I browsed this subreddit for a few months in late 2019 and it briefly ran my life. I ordered the infamous AE Mansur Gavriel Bucket Bag dupe, scored a dreamy Doen sweater dupe and a few pairs of Celine earrings that have fooled many a rich bitch.

When 2020 arrived, I decided to try my best not to buy ANY new clothes for a year. I deleted my Reddit account, which was too full of buying temptations, and tried to focus on paring down my closet.

Oh, young sweet me! When the pandemic hit, I hit the insane online sales out of sheer boredom and racked up a ton of fairly priced items. I also started working out again. And it stuck: I’ve lost about 20 pounds over the last two years and feel better than ever.

But now… NONE OF MY CLOTHES FIT. Not even the adorable cheap stuff I got for next to nothing in spring 2020. And in an effort to rebuild my wardrobe, I have become a RepLady once again.

My weight loss coincided with my entrance into (relative) financial security. Previously, I bought whatever was on deep deep sale at mid-tier brands – which was mostly trendy shit that aged poorly. A typical item in my closet are Madewell jeans that I wasn’t crazy about but were super marked down; I’m thrilled that replife can allow me to buy Toteme asymmetrical jeans instead (and for roughly the same cost tbh.)

My 2022 project will be strategically rebuilding my wardrobe into the French-Scandi wannabe I could never afford to be: I’m trying to buy pieces that could work nearly year-round and last for years, and I’m willing to spend the $30-40 minimum that a very great AE piece seems to require.

I made these buys in those pursuits, after religiously consuming reviews of either the items themselves or the stores they were purchased from, both here and on AE. Spoiler, I’m thrilled with all of them (with one or two sizing complaints.)

My measurements are:

• Height: 5’8
• Bust: 32 inches (ABTF tells me I’m a 28DD, I wear a 32B in most brands)
• Waist: 25 inches
• Hips: 34 inches

Purpose of the Deck

&nbsp;

So there are two ways that this deck can win games: Either you drop Miss Fortune down on the field and win through her level up condition, or you swarm the board with units and finish up with Cithria or For Demacia.

The main part of this deck for sure comes from the power of Miss Fortune. Your win percentage drastically increases when you are able to curve out into Miss Fortune, and some of the cards like Sharp Sight and Ranger's Resolve are in a way better used to save Miss Fortune than anything else. Miss Fortune plus your challenger units allows you to control the board, and once you have scouts on the field you will do more damage than they can handle.

The other way the deck wins when you don't draw Miss Fortune is through the power of going wide. Most of your units are low cost, or are units that can swarm the board (Marai, Navigator, Quinn). This allows you to almost always be able to push some damage through and slowly chip the opponent down. Then when you are ready to finish the game, you can drop down Cithria or drop down For Demacia from Vanguard Sergeant to buff up those low cost units and push lethal damage.

Of course, both strategies above are also enabled and made even better by the presence of Golden Aegis. This card is specially key when going against slower decks as it allows you to push way more damage than they can handle. The card is better used as a finisher and the timing of it is critical. Best and most optimal time to use it is when you know for sure you can finish the game, or when using it forces your opponent into bad trades.

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

My wife grew up in a town where people kept their doors unlocked. Cookie-cutter houses, manicured lawns, silver minivans adorned with “my child is an honor student” bumper stickers. And now that we know who is in a pickle ... look who is moving metal into the comex vault today ... none other than JP Morgan with 584,000 oz going into eligible today. We'll see tomorrow if it goes into registered. I'm surprised that JP Morgan has to ride in on their little pony to save comex on a NON-ACTIVE month ... and they can't do it out of petty change?

After seeing this, there is a chance that none of the 24,138,214 oz of registered silver in the JP Morgan vault is owned by JP Morgan, at least enough to settle their 1,060,000 oz. short. You can see the total in the vault report below. That 24 mm oz may well be metal owned by others and just stored in JP Morgan's vault.

Purpose of the Deck

&nbsp;

So there are two ways that this deck can win games: Either you drop Miss Fortune down on the field and win through her level up condition, or you swarm the board with units and finish up with Cithria or For Demacia.

The main part of this deck for sure comes from the power of Miss Fortune. Your win percentage drastically increases when you are able to curve out into Miss Fortune, and some of the cards like Sharp Sight and Ranger's Resolve are in a way better used to save Miss Fortune than anything else. Miss Fortune plus your challenger units allows you to control the board, and once you have scouts on the field you will do more damage than they can handle.

The other way the deck wins when you don't draw Miss Fortune is through the power of going wide. Most of your units are low cost, or are units that can swarm the board (Marai, Navigator, Quinn). This allows you to almost always be able to push some damage through and slowly chip the opponent down. Then when you are ready to finish the game, you can drop down Cithria or drop down For Demacia from Vanguard Sergeant to buff up those low cost units and push lethal damage.

Of course, both strategies above are also enabled and made even better by the presence of Golden Aegis. This card is specially key when going against slower decks as it allows you to push way more damage than they can handle. The card is better used as a finisher and the timing of it is critical. Best and most optimal time to use it is when you know for sure you can finish the game, or when using it forces your opponent into bad trades.
