I watch this film on SBS (a station dedicated to international programming) in Australia. Likely between 2000 and 2005. It was probably on at or passed midnight.
The film is not in English. Possibly French or German, but that is a wild guess.
I'd guess the genre was drama/suspense. Maybe thriller.
The main character is a female nurse.
Her hospital has had a problem lately with patients waking up from anesthesia early.
If I remember correctly a lot of the film takes place at night. She may have worked the night shift.
One of the doctors has been using a tiny syringe to remove some of the drugs from vials and top them up with saline. He uses the drugs recreationally or sells them.
During a surgery where once again a patient wakes early, the nurse notices a second, smaller puncture mark in the vial. Her concerns are dismissed. Her superiors tell her that the syringe probably was repositioned.
The end of the film ends with the doctor chasing the nurse around at night outdoors to kill/silence her. Possibly in a playground, possibly in the snow.
If it's the same film, there was a scene in the middle where the nurse and maybe the criminal doctor play a game at a bar. She asks him yes or no questions about himself, and he answers them yes or no. Some of the answers are shocking/disturbing. At the end, he reveals that he said yes or no randomly based on if she ended her question with a vowel or a consonant.
Edit: Oh, and I suppose I should mention I asked this ten months ago and didn't get any replies.

Now, I'm living in a flat.
Rewatching the onboard, his race engineer comes on the radio and tells him he has a problem at around lap 23. He is also told to keep one gear lower than normal through most corners, and told to cool the PU and lift and coast. (edit: even in clean air)
He has this warning on the dash throughout the rest of the race (with the text too small to read; edit: pretty sure it reads "cool car"), and I would guess this issue is why mercedes retire him.
With this very limited info, I feel like there could be a risk for a new PU element for Bottas in Saudi Arabia
Came back after a few hours, parked outside. And the tire was flat.
