what's your process in studying anatomy?

how did you decide which body part to prioritize first and stick to it? what is your daily routine? how many minutes or hours do you set aside for it? i've been trying to self study for the past few years but i end up getting burnt out by the time the third day comes because i just don't get how etc etc works and i start to feel like i'm too dumb to understand how muscles and folds and color theory works.

sorry if i have too much questions too, but how do i make studying anatomy easier to understand? like some ELI5 thing.

Recommendations on process/method for studying anatomy?

I want to get better at drawing the human body, but anatomy is hella daunting and not 100% sure where to start. I'm a methodical person, so if anybody has an order, process of practice/exercise or study for anatomy I would really appreciate it. Or even just fun or more interesting ways to improve would be much appreciated πŸ™πŸΎ I just joined the sub so sorry if this has already come up recently.

also idk what flair to use so I'll just use digiart cuz thats my main medium.

Further Anatomy Changes. Skull, mastoid process, temporal muscle etc

Hi, ive noticed some more anatomy Mandela effects. These anatomy changes always seem to peak my interest. I have been paying particular attention to the skull lately and have noticed some changes. They keep changing bit by bit.

  1. The Temporal muscle keeps growing larger and larger and stretching across more of the temporal side of the skull.
  2. The mastoid process appears to keep getting larger and larger. (Bone protrusion that connects the SCM muscles)
  3. The lateral jaw, and where it connects form its superior aspect, seems to have enlarged. Flattened and generally increased in surface area.
  4. I can now feel my own mental protuberance, and it also seems to be growing.
  5. The nasal bone. This is a multi parter, because I dont remember it ever existing. Only the vomer had existed before. But the nasal bone seems to be growing slightly from the top down. As well as creating its on protuberances and extending upwards above the lip, further creating bone over the nasal area opening.
  6. The temporal arch seems to keep growing and size and intricacy. Allowing more space , to allow more muscle, nerves to pass through.
  7. More and more foramina depicted in pictures. Especially the jaw line and the supra orbital arches.

Notes. I know alot of these are artist renditions, but I have been paying attention to actual skull representations as well. The drawings change shape and evolve over time as the Mandela Effect grows, and search results from one moment do not match up to what they were the previous moment. It is wondrous how many changes keep happening. And I revel in their wonder!

The Anatomy of Outrage: A Breakdown of Controversial Events in Gacha

As the title of this thread implies, this will be a long post seeking to clear up a bit of curiosities surrounding recent events--that is, of course, Nexon's altering of Alice's introduction scene in the latest chapter. Due to a combination of shock, new players to gacha, and strong feelings, there's a bit of confusion about what happened/is going to happen to Blue Archive, to which I hope to clear up at least a little. Starting with the primary question:

What Happened? (Why are Some Players Frustrated?)

Looking back at less than a week ago, most everyone seemed happy--Blue Archive had entered ts first month of what can easily be said to a very successful launch, drawing in a respectable starting revenue and having social media interactions that's quite impressive for a new IP. For anyone like me who jumped in the game initially unaware of what was brewing, jumping on Twitter or Reddit might've come as a bit of a shock when many posters were voicing their frustrations.

Censorship in games has been a very hot topic, but despite this, not everyone who is mad is 100% on the same page. That is: there are different reasons why players are angry, including:

  • An anti-censorship stance
  • Frustrations with broken promises (more on that later)
  • Frustrations with how the censorship was handled.

Personally, I fall in point 2 and 3, where I'm not particularly angry about the scene being altered, moreso than I am baffled at how much Nexon fumbled the way it was handled. I believe censorship to be a necessary evil when and only when there are absolutely no alternatives to releasing a game, as well as when it is delivered with a message to players giving at least a general idea as to what is going on.

I don't believe Nexon necessarily lied, rather, they did not properly communicate with all of its affecting parties before responding to questions regarding potential censorship. The way this was done was haphazard, with Nexon basically doing what anyone here can do with the photo app on our phones, while also leaving the original file in the global version of the game. This leads me to believe that Nexon had initially planned to localize BA without touching any scenes, but got blindsided by restrictions from one of the countries included in the Global release. Don't get me wrong, this situation would still be as bad as straight lying, given it shows a lack of cohesiveness within the publishing team and ts affiliates.

Others might be frustrated based on the id

Anatomy of a Terminal Emulator

Hi Rustlang!

I wrote a blog post about developing terminal applications using Rust as an example language. This is the post I wish I could read when I started developing for this great platform.

In it I provide a gentle introduction to this platform in a library-independent (and mostly even language independent) way, going into details about its different capabilities and how to make cool tools with them.

Some highlights include fun animations detailing how ANSI escape codes are interpreted and how to create a responsive terminal app.

I hope you enjoy!

The Anatomy of a Trade - Part 2

In Part 1 of this article I started with a longer term view of the market. Now it is time to shift your focus to short term market analysis. Day traders need to form a market opinion for the day. The first step is to put the current day’s price movement into the longer term context and the next step is to interpret the intraday price action for the SPY.

When we talk about context it is the macro back drop and the pre-open market move that come into play. Here are some recent examples:

The market is gapping higher, am I inclined to chase this move if I see stacked green candles? If I was asking myself that question 10 days ago(SPY at all-time high) the answer would be - no. Gaps up to the all-time high have typically been faded and I can expect a gap reversal. If I was asking myself that question Tuesday (SPY near major support) the answer would be – yes. The market had bounced off of the 100-day MA the day before and it closed on the high of the day. Buyers have consistently bought these dips in the past and seasonal strength is working in my favor along with the long term market up trend.

The market is gapping down, am I going to look for shorting opportunities on the open? First of all shorting has been very difficult because of the strong seasonal bias and the long term (12 years) market up trend. Bull markets die hard and these drops typically find support. Is the market going to open below the prior day's low? Is the market going to test a major D1 technical support level? How did overseas markets perform? Was there some type of news that could be sparking profit taking overnight? These are the questions you have to answer. I would be more inclined to short near the all-time high (resistance) than I would be at the 100-day MA (support). My conclusion might be to wait for dip buyers to come in and to wait for that bounce to stall. If it falls way short of filling the gap and the bounce is brief I will know that the selling pressure is strong and that dip buyers will be flushed out. That initial bounce will provide an excellent entry point for shorts (example below).

Most days I want to watch the open and I want to let the price action unfold. Buyers and sellers will test each other and after 30 minutes of trading I will be able to form a market opinion for the day.

Consecutive long green candles stacked with little to no overlap is very bullish and the opposite (red candles) is very bearish. Long candles that retrace are a sign of uncertainty and
