Pretty straightforward question. Can primary socialization be a force that affects adults that are new to the culture, or does it only affect children. Also if you could go in depth about what primary and secondary socialization actually entail, I'd love it greatly!
I didn’t see an answer in searching so I hope I’m not repeating a question, but I’m between a PCP and a hospital based field placement for year two. As I think towards work after graduation, how closely related would these two experiences be? Could I move into hospital work from PCP, or is PCP more aligned with community mental health? Thanks, I really treasure this community as someone new to the field trying to build up my understanding of various roles (and all the vocabulary!). Advice of any kind welcome :)
I’m on my own journey right now on getting diagnosed and was wondering who was the person who diagnosed you?
I’m not really sure what the process is, and I’ve been getting a bit confused. How does therapy work with ADHD? Do you have a main person to talk to and another person who gives you drugs? Or a therapist, psychologist, AND a psychiatrist? I’m afraid of going to a psychiatrist or any doc directly because I don’t want to be treated as a drug searcher. But I also struggle with the idea of repeating my story to so many separate people. I’ve been trying out a therapist lately to see what fits best, I’ve had a few first meetings but she suggested I take medication along side therapy, and is unable yo actually diagnose me.

Their instructor greeting them in her dark blue skirt and coat with her hair straightened and put up beneath her beret made her look military-esque. The smile on her face drained and her brow furrowed, today’s lesson would be one a bit more intense than some of the others as it concerned itself with the Yarwaddy War, known within the Democratic Republic as the Liberation War.

The children nodded and in that samed regimented unison responded with, “Yes teacher.”

The instructor’s voice was excited yet reverent hardly masked the serious undertones of her vocal inflections and verbiage.

The only people that I can think of are US Senator Jeff Merkley of Oregon and Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman of Pennsylvania due to them being the only currently relevant major politicians that I know that has endorsed Bernie Sanders when he first ran in the Democratic presidential primaries in 2016.
Anyone else that I currently know in New York State haven't officially announced any bid for the Governorship or the US Senate, for some of ones that I had heard about that are outside of NYS will alienate Bernie Sanders supporters especially when it comes to their endorsements in 2016 and 2020.
I'm not nearly as big of a political junkie as many people in this subreddit especially when it comes to politics that are outside of my state. I just wanted to get some opinions from this subreddit, any other specific names of politicians for 2024 that are worth mentioning? If not, how about after it if Joe Biden decides to run for re-election and becomes the Democratic nominee?
