A list of puns related to "Play School (British TV series)"
I remember in the 2000s watching a childrenβs TV series which was sort of a sitcom in the mould of say βMy Parents Are Aliensβ or βKerchingβ. It was about a family and the youngest child had an imaginary friend who was a giant blue mouse who was played by a person in a suit like a character at Disney World, but only acknowledged by the boy. I think the mouse wore some kind of clothes and a flannel hat but I could be misremembering that.
The weird thing is that the giant imaginary mouse wasnβt the central part of the show it was just like a supporting character?
I could be misremembering this too but in my head the main plot was about the children of two single parents moving in together when their parents get together. But again this could be way off base.
Please help me. Iβve trawled through lists of CITV and CBBC shows and canβt find any evidence that this show existed and I didnβt dream it up!
I binge watched a non-fiction TV series a few years ago about EMTs and police officers working in Australia. But now I'm struggling to remember the name of the series or find it in my Amazon Prime history. Any ideas?
While it wasn't the main focus of the series, many of the EMTs or police officers featured in the show had relocated from Britain to Australia as part of a work program. One of the cities they focused on was Perth. I think the series originally aired in the late 2000s or early-to-mid 2010s.
It's not "Ambulance Australia". I just watched that. It might be "Emergency Call" (2018) or "Search and Rescue" (2008), but I can't find any episodes of those series online to verify.
I recently got my British citizenship and as proud as I am of such an honour, I feel like there is still a lot of entertainment I am missing out on - notice I didn't say "great" entertainment, as I would welcome suggestions of anything worth giving a watch, especially any comically bad shows.
As of now, these are some of the ones I've watched and would recommend to others:
QI The Office 8 Out of 10 Cats Extras The Ricky Gervais Show Peep Show That Mitchell and Webb Look An Idiot Abroad Gogglebox Anything from Louis Theroux The Undateables Grimefighters Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners
Looking for British TV series to watch, I loved inside #9, Sherlock, Us, black mirror, GOT, good omens, any recommendation? Thanks.
There was a hilarious travel show I used to watch with my parents but we have all since forgotten the name of it. I believe it was from the early 2010's but I could be wrong on that. It starred a British man who would do strange things in different countries. The episode I remember the most was in Germany where he went to a beer spa, saw a game of chess boxing, and rounded the night with a dinner show of butt slap dancing. I know it wasn't Travels With My Father or An Idiot Abroad.
I believe this was an episode from a British crime series. During a remodel of a terraced house a body is found that was hidden in the wall. I think one of the plot twists was that that part of the house was originally part of the adjoining house next door? So the suspected murderer is not the house owner but the aging rock star that lives next door. After other plot twists I think they realize that several people the rock star knew have gone missing and that maybe some are buried in the garden?
TIA.

Heya, I am looking for new TV to watch and particularly interested in shows that are set in the beautiful british countryside. I am not looking for documentaries or reality TV. Thanks!
This British show was very similar to TLC's My Strange Addiction. In one episode they followed a young man obsessed with the United States. He had American flags in his room, enjoyed American style food, etc.
As per the sub's rules only one question allowed: What show am I looking for? If I know the show I could easily find the episode.
So basically I'm looking for post-apocalyptic or dystopian British novels, movies, TV series.
Thank you in advance.
This has been bugging me for months now so I thought I'd try my luck on reddit. I've only got small memories of this tv series so I apologise for the tiny clues haha.
Pretty sure it was a British kids tv show about ghosts. Probably from the early 2000s. The whole show was set in a small village and was about a fire having happened in a big old house. One of the first scenes was a child being dropped off at the village next to a grave yard in daylight. I can vaguely remember the kids in the show wondering around the house and stumbling upon the burnt down section which doesn't exist anymore.. like they could see what it looked like before almost like time travel. There were quite a few flash backs to the fire happening. There was a bear trap in the woods at one point I think.. bit random lol.
Its all very vague.. but yeah. If anyone has any ideas then I'd be so grateful! Thank you :)
And with all these wacky british accents and so much sass I have tears from laughter. The only other British series besides Utopia I've seen as far as I remember was Hustle and while they have banter they are a bit more mild/serious even while joking lol.
But not even in Utopia I had heard "chav", lol.
From Hustle I picked up "fit bird", they have an entire mini skit about that.
What about you?
I have seen the following till now:
Can you suggest me more?
I am kind of more into History, Drama, Sci-fi, Fiction, Action & Adventure, Comedy, Spy, and Thriller chap. However, I am open to other genres too.
Thank you!
My brother and I were fairly young and weβd sit with mum and dad each night and watch some TV as a treat before bed, but by this stage of the night it was mostly after 9pm or so and therefore less child-friendly shows would run.
We both have this image that has been embedded in our head for all these years of a particular episode of a woman in a red dress who has appeared to have been possessed or taken on the likeness of the ex-wife (who I think is supposed to have died recently at the start of this episode) of the man she now lives with. At one point, the man has had enough of it and burns his ex-wifeβs clothes, at which point the woman is screaming and banging on windows of the house.
The rest of the details are much more vague. I think the team that would investigate these things were regular police/detectives, but one of them was a medium or could talk, see or communicate with the dead, which is why theyβve been called to check this case out, but I canβt fully remember and itβs possible Iβm confusing two shows, as I was so young at the time. In any case, the woman in a red dress screaming at the window is 100% accurate, though I admit still very vague and unhelpful.
Iβm really hoping one of you fine people can help me with this because itβs been driving my brother and me insane for the last few months trying to find out what it was. Both mum and dad say they canβt remember what weβre on about. Pls help
I just wanted to know through an Iraqi's opinion what they thought of TV series and if it accurately portrays the livelihoods of people right after Saddam's fall.
