A list of puns related to "Platoon leader"
From what I have read or understood it seems during early WW2 most nations seemed to only have radio communication with company size HQ units and up, especially the Red Army. So during a large scale battle in a heavy wooded or urban areas especially night time where it would be impossible to issue hand or flag signals, how would a none radio equipped group leader issue orders to their subordinates and scout units that are deep behind enemy lines? Would there just be a messenger running back and fourth through fire or did most squads just wing it with their original plan prior to the battle?
So I had a few underused features in mind that could be enhanced, here's my list:
We have command text chats and voice channels, why not have platoon way points show up on other squad or platoon leader maps as a way to indicate that there are forces going to a base. As a example, platoon A wants to attack a containment site and puts down their platoon waypoint. Other squad and platoon leads notice the marker and know that there is going to be allied population moving in to fight there.
The tactical drawings map. This is already a thing, and is majorly underused in my opinion. One of these aspects is the usability. Leaders have to draw everything and that can get tedious. Instead of this system, keep the drawing aspect, but possibly add presets like a marker for say a fireline, or a defencive /offensive position. Maybe make the icon a bit easier to find and also have the drawings work on minimap as currently, it only works on your main map to my knowledge.
Agree or disagree? Write it in the comments.

Just some cuts of clips from our first gunnery qualification when I was a platoon leader at Fort Riley, KS.
Moving from the S2 shop and taking my first platoon next month. Prior service so I know the basics of relating to the joes and actually caring about developing them, but what are some of the best tips you have heard of being a successful platoon leader? Any tools youβve used, organization or planning/ training tips? Tips on counseling my NCOs? Anything and everything appreciated
A bit of context (not necessary for the question above). But if you want to help me in-game. I am active on NC miller https://ps2.fisu.pw/player/?name=aw3someshrader&show=statistics . I am willing to delete one of my accounts to play on a different server.
I feel shit everytime I platoon lead because I let people down, that is really hard for me.
Because when I am platoon leading, I feel all the responsibility for trying to make more impact on the map and try to strategize to win the alert in the long run while maintaining the fun in fights.
I don't hate, but I despise zerging. So I am not comfortable sitting in an overpop of 70%. Everything below that, I am somewhat fine.
I remember trying to learn how to squad lead on cobalt. It was a very difficult time because the pressure of having 'fun' was all over me and the responsibility struck me. But through trial and error I managed to get the hang of it. My coach who helped me with this, gave me a very huge boost combined with the positive feedback of my squad mates.
But unfortunately I have not found a strategic platoon coach who could help me finding the ropes (no zerg leader). So I find myself a bit lone on this road of progress.
All the informative video's on youtube are pretty old, so every tip is welcome! Could you help me?
Currently I would like to know:
When I learned and mastered on how to be the best platoon leader, ofcourse I am coming back to becoming the best force commander!
2nd post here on Reddit D:
So, the Game revolves around you controlling a WW2 Tank Platoon (usually between 4-5 Tanks). I'm still in the very early phases of prototyping, but since I last shared this on here, I worked on the games visuals by making it resemble real WW2 Colour Film to make it stand out from the Desaturated Sepia toned WW2 Games. I have also worked a bit on the VFX and Models, just to get an early concept of the look going.
So, now to the planned Ideas. Since you have little men (ca. 25 in total (5 men per tank as an average) including your own crew), I thought it could be cool to make it a bit of a story experience, but with procedual generation, since anyone can get killed any time. And through that I can also make a big number of possible paths you can go in your campaigns, with all major and minor ww2 tank fielding factions and even campaigns for specific armored formations like the Panzerdivisions e.g. th 16th which fought in the Netherlands, Barbarossa, Kursk, Mius Front, Falaise Pocket, Battle of the Bulge and Cologne. I'll take some inspiration from Armored Commander, the Tank roguelike with procedual campaigns and all, but make it a bit more personal experience, if I can.
On some of the newer changes, there's a devlog here: https://youtu.be/iBLQHiewkz0
If you have any suggestions or feedback, I'd be happy to hear it , to improve the game further with each devlog. Also, I have a discord and all linked in the video, so if you like it, I'd of course appreciate if you'd support me with a sub.
This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 65%. (I'm a bot)
> During a grueling week, 1st Lt. Maria Eggers recently did just that, making her the first woman and the first Latina from the 3rd Cavalry Regiment to earn the coveted Expert Infantry Badge, or EIB, qualifying at the highest level - True Blue.Eggers, 24, received it in April by successfully finishing the five-day test that measures a soldier's physical fitness and ability to perform to standards of excellence in a wide variety of critical infantry skills.
> It's a feat for women as fewer than 100 in the entire U.S. Army have received it -all combat roles were opened to women in 2016.In a phone interview with NBC News, Eggers said she was surprised when she heard she was the first Latina to earn the award in the regiment, currently stationed at Ford Hood.
> As someone who grew up with two parents in the military, she said she's always seen herself as a soldier and a part of the team.
> Eggers is a platoon leader in the 1st Squadron where she manages and organizes 37 soldiers; she has been at Fort Hood for over nine months.
> Fort Hood has been the focus of attention following the disappearance and killing of Army Spc. Vanessa Guillén.
> Last week, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., and Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, introduced bipartisan legislation calling for independent military prosecutors to handle sexual assault cases and other serious crimes in the military.

Might be a poorly worded question, but I just got accepted into my stateβs Aviation program. Assigned to D Co as a platoon leader. Still 01, but spent last year and a half in staff position in same unit.
Obviously maintenance is pretty self explanatory. I think itβs a great stepping stone for me, as I travel a LOT for my civilian job (read: limited flying hours) and also have an engineering degree/construction background with that job. I know with time I will love to the other companies and get more flight time as well. Genuinely excited to have this opportunity!
But what can you tell me that is NOT so obvious? Pros/Cons? Tips? Lessons learned? Daily routines that have worked for you? What to expect? Thanks in advance.
Ok so here we go. I hope that this makes it`s way to some of the developers attention, and I hope it ends up being somewhat helpful. But first, 2 things we need to get out of the way.
- 1 : All of you reddit haters, before you shower me with your amazing opinions about how the game should be, by commenting on this post, please try to keep it constructive, not toxic and actually useful. Saying that the updates sucks is feedback, but is not useful for improving it in any way shape or form. So lets keep it positive and try to help ourselves as best as we can.
- 2 : If any of the developers actually ends up reading all this, keep in mind that it is direct feedback from the first session on Esamir directly after servers opened. It is also from the perspective of a public platoon leader. So my focus on the game is centralized around a combined experience for a big group of players instead of a specific playstyle so I believe it is useful feedback cause probably represent a good portion of the player base.
So for starters. About the CAMPAIGN mission.
- Icons were a little too small on the HUD. The plants and other objectives were kinda hard to find at first, but after you find it once, it gets easy. Will probably be a little bit harder for first timers, so maybe increasing size or brightness of the icons would be a good idea.
- The terminals on the abandoned bases are literally inside the building grid. We had an amazing fight earlier with player made bases literally growing towards the terminal and enveloping it, creating a unique environment for player made bases that we never experienced before. The only problem is, you can still place a spawn tube directly in front of the terminal, and you wan also hit it with artillery. So you can either have one faction with a spawn directly on top of the terminal, rendering it inaccessible by other factions, or you can have a terminal under literal constant bombardment from Flails. Don`t get me wrong, I personally appreciate the chaos that it creates, but you are definitely going to have some severe backlash for that.
- I LOVED the one where you collect plants in the jungles, and you literally have people running around with knives duking it out in a very dense environment. Amazing experience, and it will definitely lead to some great things, like infiltrators crawling around the area to ambush enemies, and things like that. Problem is, in several occasions the plants spawn inside of the trees. Literally insid
... keep reading on reddit β‘I got an email from a recruiter from the Platoon Leaderβs Class which is a Summer "internship (more like or something similar to ROTC)" in Virginia to help as a path to become a Marine Corps Officer. They will offer me (after the internship) if I want to continue to become an actual officer but I will have the option of not accepting that. Have you ever heard of it? If so do you have any opinions or suggestions, if it's worth it? My goal is to join the military as a dentist after getting Navy HPSP. Also they will pay for the 10 weeks that I'll be there.
Thanks
With 2020 being garbage, the salty vet rage-box that is the Reddit, this new update making so many changes, the apparent mass banning of people I had just played with the day before, and my own disabilities making FPS games especial challenging, it had been a rough time getting any fun out of PS2 for me lately.
But last weekend I gave it what was supposed to be my last attempt in PlanetSide, and managed to join in with Ding and his merry band of TLFT running shenanigans. Oh boy it reminded me of the good times that got me hooked all the way back in 2014. Running deep-infiltration armor columns, enforcing 'building permits', the circle of healing to 'prevent' my own personal banning, and all culminating in the great Fort Unbanable in the Shartered warpate.
Even though it wasn't directed at me (open platoon comms) Ding said some stuff that helped me remember that this game isn't really about winning absolutely everything and that FUN should always be the primary objective.
So to all those platoon and squad leaders stepping up to heard the public kittens, and letting them tag along with purpose and kindness-
>THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE TO THIS COMMUNITY!
It might not seem like it means much in this game, but it means a whole lot to people like me. This game wouldn't be the same without you.
And if a platoon disbands into a single squad, platoon leader should automatically be made squad leader so that he doesn't lose control of the remaining squad. Currently he will lose control and whoever was squad leader will retain control, which is DUMB.
This change 100% needs to happen but devs don't play platoon leader apparently, or they would know this.
The storm follows large amounts of pop. Thus, I can not fathom as to why it's not called the ZERGNADO.
You've heard it from [ORAX] Sarloh first folks. I take all the copyright for coining the term ZERGNADO.
0/10, game ruined, Wrel's bandanna in game when?
But seriously people. The update comes out, it's not even a single day and you all go throwing a tantrum. It's clear that this update created a framework upon which the devs can build future content, better campaging, new mission types... Just like when the Sanctuary first came out - it was nothing more than a glorified gift shop and photo spot. (Well, it stil is to some degree.) And the devs stated on Reddit that they are keeping an eye on all the responses, and I'm sure changes are to come. Yet here you are, throwing a tantrum like the only thing keeping you in this game got taken away. And only one day after the update.
I know kids these days need that carrot on a stick to keep them playing. But for God's sake people, the game we all love is still here, there is plenty of time. Take a chill pill...
...And rather than complain go play the game, have fun with your outfit mates, explore Esamir and enjoy a less-overpopped Fundar, and finally watch my anime opening:

You may ask yourself, did this dude make a shitpost just so that he can get views for his dank anime opening? No, but also yes.
Peace. Also, join ORAX.
Im a LET1 cadet, and next year I am aiming to become a Platoon leader. I was planning to join the rifle team but because of a COVID quarantine I wasn't able to try out. I have secured a spot on JLAB, and been promoted to private E2, and am on track to PFC by the beginning second semester. Im not in. Raiders or anything, however I am one of the main cadets that is the "Class leader" when sergeant asks for someone to lead the class.
I got an email for it, and it looks interesting. For anyone that has either completed it or in it right now, can you just tell me what the training is like and is it easy to balance both college and PLC? Also, what careers specifically do they offer after training, anything in healthcare?
Any advice is appreciated.
To make a long story short, Iβve been trying to enlist for a few years now and have been held back because my βpaperwork got lostβ and my recruiters keep getting moved and replaced. Iβve had about 8 or 9 different recruiters start over with my paperwork just to get replaced a couple months later.
I just turned 21 years old and have been going to my local community college part time for those same 3 years and am now at the point where I will be getting my associates degree after this semester.
My question is am if I able to go to the 6 week PLC course given that A. I have not gone to college in consecutive semesters or B. It was a 2 year school?
I do plan on transferring to a 4 year school and making up for lost time doing Summer-Fall-Winter-Spring semesters so I can still graduate somewhat on time. Should I just wait until I get my degree and try for the 10 week course?
One of my privates invited me to his wedding with a girl he met 2 months ago
Hey guys, I'll be graduating IBOLC soon and found out my RFO has been changed from the 101st to OSUT Platoon Leader. I was wondering if anyone could provide insight on what that assignment will be like. How is the day-to-day? What are some duties I should expect on a daily basis? What can I do now so that once I show up I can start being beneficial to the unit rather than a burden?
The types of things I'd like to be able to see regarding forces under my command.
Nanite availability: Let me see who, if anyone, is sitting on max nanites, and possibly how long they've been sitting on max. Let me see when my group doesn't have enough Nanites among them to pull an adequate Max crash or vehicle group.
Trial System: Especially if I'm helping noobs, let me see if they're underutilizing the trial system. Let me see when subordinates are on cooldown and it's not available.
Cortium: Let me see how much Cortium is in the Silos and Ants of my session mates. Give me more specific tools to find and report harvest and deposit locations.
Leadership Unlocks: As a platoon leader, let me see if squad leaders have the tools certed out. Do they have the offensive/defensive markers, smokes, command chat, unlocked to fill the role as needed.
Squad Spawn Logistics: Provide better feedback to squads that have an overabundance or a lacking of SSL, and balancing solutions. Identify access to SSL implant options. Provide better beacon feedback.
Specific weaponry/tool unlocks: Let me search for specific gear to see whom among my cohort have access to things like a specific [vehicle](https://www.reddit.com/r/Planetside/comments/gicnvn/get_out_of_th
