A list of puns related to "Pierre Edwards"
This sub isn't about discrediting nobodayyy
This sub is to educate y'all about what a "limited hangout operation" is. It's similar to a false flag op.
Limited hangout was included in Operation Mockingbird.
In relation to Snowden/Greenwald and their NSA story, it is an IDEA that snowden is limited hangout, greenwald is controlled opposition, or vica versa for that matter. Whats the difference?
Everything you know about Snowden.... has come from Greenwald and Poitras since Snowden gave them everything.
Maybe Snowden was sincere, and he put his trust in 2 people who were corrupted.
Or maybe Snowden was "in on it" all along. who knows.
Question it all, and ask
Why is Snowden given attention by the corporate media? Why would one of the U.S' major propaganda outlets (NBC) give a 40 minute interview?
How did Snowden evade the CIA + co. while in Hong Kong?
etc etc, read read

you should know who OMIDYAR is,
>Omidyar, the son of Iranian exiles, certainly has had some highly suspicious business associates at Paypal. Here are a few of the most influential of Omidyar’s Paypal colleagues.
Max Levchin, a co-founder of Paypal, has openly stated his support for NSA spying on Americans. Alex Karp used the Paypal framework to start Palantir, the most important company providing spying technology to the NSA. Palantir’s advisors include Condoleezza Rice and former CIA director George Tenet. The word Palantir refers to the seeing stones used primarily by the dark lord Sauron in The Lord of the Rings novels. From 2005 to 2008 the CIA was Palantir’s patron and only customer. Peter Thiel has some interesting right-wing connections. Thiel started his career working for the CIA-linked law firm Sullivan & Cromwell and then Credit Suisse Group. In 2009, Thiel said, “I no longer believe that freedom and democracy are compatible,”
Welcome to /r/LimitedHangouts
For the "definition" of what a "limited hangout" is, see the sidebar and posts in this sub.
There are not a lot of new articles on "limited hangouts"
To aid in fully understanding "limited hangouts", read/listen to Naomi Wolf and Webster Tarpley. These two should spark some thought and you can take care of the rest
We have greenwald/snowden and assange/manning/wikileaks to base discussion from but this sub is not limited to them
Here is an example of a shill talking about why you should fully trust them: "It seems the people supporting this ridiculous idea are people who haven't fully read the documents, or they do not understand the implications of said revelations"

Here's a list of books, stories, and essays involving linguistics, language, and communication, taken from the comments for 5 reddit posts asking of books involving linguistics (including one post from r/linguistics), a Goodreads list, this list from a linguistic (includes lots of great nonfiction resources as well), and from the sf-encyclopedia on linguistics. Here are links to Wikipedia's articles for linguistic relativity (the Sapir-Whorf Hypothesis, although this is considered a basically disproven hypothesis) and conceptual metaphor (largely championed by George Lakoff; see Metaphors We Live By). Both are pretty relevant for fiction that explores how language might shape our thinking.
The list is organized by how frequently an author or work was mentioned from my 8 sources. I proceed each with how many they were mentioned in, so that number should roughly reflect how relevant an author or work is to the linguistics theme and how popular the work is. I've included basically everything mentioned, since I haven't read most of these, so that does mean some of them may only be loosely related to linguistics, or just do something that's interesting with language. I've included comments with the ones I have read on how much it actually incorporates linguistics.
Philadelphia Eagles (9-8) at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers(11-6) |
---|
The Eagles defied the odds and clinched a playoff spot in week 17 when they completed their sweep of the Washington “Who cares what they are called”. The Eagles took care of business down the stretch knocking off a number of lowly teams to get to 9 wins and be able to rest key starters in week 18. They set up a meeting with their old friend Tom Brady and his Buccaneers down in Tampa for Wildcard Weekend. The Bucs easily took care of the Panthers in week 18 to secure the number two seed. While the game will be down in the Sunshine State, the weather looks to be anything, but sunny. The weather forecast is calling for rain and wind gusts between 20-30 mph which could favor the Eagles and their top ranked rush offense. But running against the Bucs big DL will be no easy task. Vita Vea has a huge size advantage over Kelce who he will most likely be lining up over in a 0 technique and while Ndamukong Suh is not the All-Pro he once was he is still a big body that can clog up the run game. If the Bucs sell out to stop the run it could be on Hurts to try to win it with his arm which could be difficult, especially with the weather. The Bucs have two guys they can match up on Goedert in Antoine Winfield Jr. and Lavonte David and they will get some pass rush help back with the return of JPP. Hurts will need to rely on his young WRs more to get open and quick. On the other side, Brady beat the Eagles with quick short throws earlier this season in a game where he was without Gronk, but while Gronk is back Brady has lost one of his favorite WRs Chris Godwin to an ACL tear and lost Antonio Brown to being crazy and probably running on the side of the road shirtless somewhere. With limited weapons the Eagles need to shutdown Evans with Slay and bracket Gronk. Playing tight with the predicted weather should help the Eagles slow down the Bucs passing attack, but they will still need to worry about the run game and Leonard Fournette who had two TDs against them in week 6. Should be an interesting matchup in the rain and the Eagles will make it really interesting if they can win the battle in the trenches. Go Birds! |

Because I am a complete lunatic, I decided to put all the MLS homegrown players in one place, sorted by club and when they signed, as well as where they are now.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homegrown_Player_Rule_(Major_League_Soccer)
I think I got them all, but can anyone point out anyone missing?
There are a few contentious inclusions/exclusions, with the below having been labelled as HG (or not) at some point, but from what I can see....
Not Officially an MLS HG Player: Julian Araujo, Freddie Braun, Eduardo Cortes, Kyle Duncan, Raheem Edwards, Steven Emory, Chris Lema, Nico Lemoine, Pierre da Silva, Zack Steffen
Officially an MLS HG Player: Nizar Khalfan and Tommy Redding
If anyone can prove or disprove any of those, that'd be helpful too. I think most them in the "Not" list just didn't spend long enough in the academy to count as homegrown.
With the looming retirement of a few players this offseason, and the fact a lot of this status can change soon, I wanted to go though and find active players that were on each team's Super Bowl winning season.
Key:
(IR) - On Injury Reserve that season
(PS) - Were a practice squad player that season
Italics - Did not play for the team continuously (left and came back)
2005 Pittsburgh Steelers - 1 remaining player: Ben Roethlisberger
2008 Pittsburgh Steelers - 1 remaining player: Ben Roethlisberger
The Steelers' two victories are the longest you can go back and still find an active player still with the Steelers from these teams. Big Ben's time in the NFL appears to be coming to an end, but for now he is the one link left for the two Steeler's wins in the 2000's.
2009 New Orleans Saints - 1 remaining player: Malcolm Jenkins
Won in his rookie year, Jenkins played with the Saints until 2013, before leaving to the Eagles where he also won a ring. He returned in 2020 and after Bree's retirement, is the only remaining player from this team.
2010 Green Bay Packers - 2 remaining players: Aaron Rodgers, Mason Crosby
2012 Baltimore Ravens - 6 remaining players: Pernell McPhee, Josh Bynes, Jimmy Smith, Justin Tucker, Sam Koch, Anthony Levine (IR)
The Ravens have a shocking six players left from their 2012 season left, a tie with the 2014 Patriots but with an even longer time frame. Two players (Bynes and McPhee) did leave afterwards, but both returned in 2019 (Bynes left AGAIN and was brought back in 2021). Morgan Cox, who left in the offseason before the 2021 season was also on this team.
2013 Seattle Seahawks - 3 remaining players: Russel Wilson, Bobby Wagner, Benson Mayowa
Mayowa played only one year in Seattle before leaving, playing for a few other teams before returning in 2020.
2014 New England Patriots - 6 remaining players: Brandon Bolden, James White, Matthew Slater, Jamie Collins, Dont'a Hightower, Devin McCourty
Jamie Collins is unlucky, and missed two of the three Super Bowls the Patriots won last decade. Bolden also missed one, leaving to the Dolphins for one single year before returning in 2019, missing the 2018 season's Super Bowl win.
2015 Denver Broncos - 1 remaining player: Brandon McManus
This one is just kind of sad... the 2015 Broncos only have one player left from their Super Bowl run. Von Miller was on

I mentioned at the top of my previous mock draft post that one person mocks are fun, but they don't bring much to the table. It only allows you to see one perspective and wouldn't resemble many of your real drafts very closely at all. So I reached out to some of my favorite posters on this sub and through the glory of the internet, we mock drafted together. This is how it went.
I know a lot of people are going to be upset that I didn't draft a QB. This was a tough call at the 1.01 between Breece Hall and Treylon Burks. I will likely flop between the two throughout the offseason. Gave Hall the nod this time due to RB positional scarcity. Hall is a good all-purpose RB with a nose for the endzone. I see him as an RB2 floor with Top 5 RB upside.
A program defining career for the Razorback receiver. On top of an excellent college career, he will test ‘good enough’ at minimum. Solid profile including an early breakout against quality competition, and quality performance against man coverage. Don’t overthink it. If nothing changes between now and May–draft Treylon.
When I was going through the pre-draft process, I remember saying “I generally don’t like touching QB’s from this class before 1.04.” Well… Here we are. What this pick comes down to, for me, is being more afraid of losing Corral and being “stuck” with any of the other guys if I pass on him at 1.03. I love Corral’s legs (very underrated part of his game) and think that his escapability will help him grow into a more refined passer at the NFL level. His ceiling is pretty high in my opinion but more importantly, I think he has a real floor as a stable NFL starter. I can’t say the same for any other prospects in this class, minus maybe Pickett.
I’ve started souring on Spiller just a little bit. On top of that, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Walker be the first RB off the board come draft day. I don’t think anyone is doubting Walker’s talent on the ground and from what I’ve seen I think he can offer a good enough receiving game to keep him on the field as often as possible. I was tempted to grab my WR2 Garret Wilson here, but positional scarcity brings Walker up a little further.
With Burks gone I don’t see a need to attack the WR position a
