My progressive power metal band Queen of Dreams is nearly ready to release our first album and we'd like to find someone to help us create some artwork that reflects our music. We're looking for a 300 dpi, 3000x3000 .png image.
Our sound is heavy but melodic, and many of our lyrics focus on themes of fantasy and adventure. For this album cover we're envisioning an image of a small ship tossed amid violent waves, sailing into a portal into another world. What exactly that other world looks like can be up to you, but it should be clearly fantastical in some way - dragons, nebulas, cosmic beings, etc. (Here's a video of us playing the song that inspired that image.) We'd prefer a realistic style, but could be open to something more abstract or stylized.
One of our members has a band name logo design they've been working on, but if you would also like to help create a logo/typography that would fit well with the art we'll be happy to talk about it.
Ideally we'd like to get artwork finalized by the end of June. Our current budget is $150, but we're willing to negotiate if circumstances warrant it. Let me know if you're interested or have any questions. Thanks!
