A list of puns related to "Peter Gabriel discography"
From midnight on the 18th of May, anyway. Spotify
It was already on Apple Music but this makes it far more accessible. Live albums and soundtracks will appear in the next few weeks.
For a starter, I highly recommend Peter Gabriel 3: Melt for a weird arty rock album or So for a great 80s pop-rock album.
I just noticed for the first time today that Peter Gabriel appears to have songwriting credit on Wish's opening track "Open". Anyone know the background to this? I had no idea that they collaborated in any way or that the song "Open" had any connection to anything by Peter Gabriel so this was quite a surprise.
So... nobody talk about the fact that The 1975 is Recording the new album in the Peter Gabriels Studio... Real Wolrd Studio.
Maybe for this album we can wait elements of WolrdMusic and references of "So" (Peter Gabriel Album 1985)
The next release from my vaults is a real deep cut for Genesis fans. The movie "Lorca and the Outlaws" features original music by Tony Banks as heard on his album "Soundtracks" as well as an inexplicable scene of Peter Gabriel in his full monkey makeup in a void miming to "San Jacinto" and Toyah Willcox, who some of you may know as Mrs. Robert Fripp, singing "Lion of Symmetry." The director obviously had great taste in music, if not much skill in film making. This would be a good candidate for Mystery Science Theater 3000.
This movie was reedited for American release under the title "Starship" without the music videos and different non-Banks music over the opening credits. This is the original, and while not completely unseen, this is the best quality copy that I've seen. Which isn't to say that it's dvd quality. Enjoy!

Still hard to believe we all dressed like this.
I am doing a school project on Peter Gabriel and the influence he had as a musician and activist. I've listened to Biko and it's a heart-wrenching song. Does anyone out there have other songs related to his perspective and experience? I am sure he has a ton but I don't know the background of his other songs yet.

Iβve heard that Peter Gabriel is basically the male Kate Bush, and I know they had a really good relationship and influenced each other a lot, but I havenβt really dived into his discography. What do you recommend by him?
I am playing the song tomorrow at a concert through my music school and I thought it would be cool to introduce it with one of his weird stories if he had one for The Knife. I can not find anything about it, though.. Thanks to anyone who want to help:)
