In context, Jesus is exhorting the majority of the church who are dead or asleep. If they overcome (Greek: nikon), they will wear white robes here and now (is victorious). Leave SCJ and believe and your name stays in the book of life — not an actual physical roster — God’s list. SSN barely knows you. God knows you well (Jn 5:24). It’s also a pleonasm — one representing many. Koine Greek rhetoric.

Nowadays, all manner of disasters are occurring one after another, such as earthquakes, famines, epidemics, floods, droughts, and plagues of locusts, and the areas affected are growing larger and larger in scale. The prophecies in the Bible concerning the Lord’s return have now largely been fulfilled, thereby proving that the Lord has already returned. Yet there are many brothers and sisters who still feel confused and say, “We’ve always kept the Lord’s name since we started to believe. We are tolerant and patient as the Lord teaches us to be, and we are capable of giving everything up and working hard for the Lord. This makes us the overcomers, and when the Lord arrives He will raise us up into the air and we will enjoy the blessings of the kingdom of heaven with Him. But now the four blood moons have been seen and disasters have become so great, and yet we still haven’t been caught up into the air. Why is that?” Actually, if we wish to understand this issue, we must understand what exactly pre-tribulation rapture means, and what it means to be made into overcomers before the disasters.
What Does Pre-Tribulation Rapture Mean?
On this issue, many people believe that being caught up means to be raised up into the air, just as Paul says: “Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord” (1 Thessalonians 4:17). We imagine being caught up to mean rising from the earth up into heaven, but is it really as we imagine it to be? The Bible says, “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, said Jehovah. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts” (Isaiah 55:8–9).
