A list of puns related to "Only When I Larf (film)"
I wish it wouldnβt annoy me, I love that people can just be fans but if you are going to tell me you are a mega fan I expect you to have at least read and understood the books!!
So after doing intensive research i know that the ghost is called hikiko basically a pretty popular japanese urban legend kinda thing but the thing is the film i remember watching was live action but when i search for hikiko i found an almost identical scene to the movie that i watched but its fully animated and the other hikiko related film i saw was some film called "Scream girl" which after looking at bits of the movie isn't what i was looking for. So please if anyone know what I'm looking for do tell me I've been searching for this film for ages but still no luck
Whatβs even stranger is the facts that the A24 video has been deleted so it was pretty funny to see this required reading being incomplete. Kinda cool that karsten was brought up in something I have to read for class though.
I would have loved to see that whole thing play out. Filch thinking Peeves stole the egg, Snape slowly realizing Harry had to be around somewhere, βMoodyβ figuring out what the map does, all of that would have been fascinating.
So I don't even know how to properly review this movie. This movie is filled with so many "Ok what's going on?" moments. I lost interest after the very first kill. Do you know how hard that is to do? This movie in a nutshell is about women empowerment and fighting back against abusers, which is a good message when done right. This movie was directed by a woman, and written by the director, and another woman and yet somehow they made women in this movie look dumber than any other horror film with a woman led cast that I've ever seen.
The first victim thinks she's being stalked, and turns out the dude wasn't stalking her at all, as he turned the street and walked the other way. As soon as this happens the killer appears. Now lets play a game here. I want you to choose what you believe she did.
Did she:
A.) Scream for help as the dude was still in the general area.
B.) Ran and screamed for help?
C.) Kinda ran and was silent the entire time until she came to a further away house and then began screaming.
You'd think the logical thing would be A in real life, or B in a horror movie. C just seems so unreal even for the genre. "Im being chased by a potential killer, better be quiet as fuck while running away so nobody knows I'm in danger." The best part is she has her phone, the old joke is: if phones worked, horror movies would be like 2 minutes long." Well she didn't call campus security, she didn't call the cops. She called her friends who she knows is at a loud Christmas party.
This entire post so far is just the first seven minutes of the film of a 90 minute film. There's so much wrong with this movie I can't burden you all with the words. So I'll sum it up even quicker.
This has nothing to do with Black Christmas, be it the original or the shit remake, it feels like a cheap trick because had it been named anything else, nobody would connect this movie to Black Christmas. Its like those old movie based games for Nintendo, you bought it or rented it because of the name, only to find out the game has nothing to do with the movie or the characters. This is exactly like that.
There was only one scene in this movie where I was thinking fucking thank you because they actually did something that I rarely see in slasher films. Where the killer is prowling about in the house, and the girls are hiding and he leaves and they just ok he's gone pretty much but he never left. I was so happy because I don't get it. There's a KILLER in your home and you're ready t
