A list of puns related to "Old Town, Toronto"
If anyone has video, please post it, James was hilarious on the mic tonight. Billyβs reaction was on point as well haha
I grew up in a relatively lower class part of a higher class town from Southern Ontario, and I knew of loads of richer kids who would drive out to Montreal to party legally when they were 18, because Quebec's legal age is 18, rather than 19 like it is in Ontario. I was wondering if this is a common thing to see in places that are a relatively similar distance away from Montreal except for being across an international border?
Hey everyone. I recently moved to Vancouver from Toronto and now that the NHL, NBA and NFL seasons are upon us, i'm looking to see if there are any sports fans near downtown who want to get together to watch some games. Down to go to a bar for drinks or even to see live matches at some point. For reference I follow the big 4 north american leagues + Soccer. Does anyone have any sports bar recommendations?
As aside I also love movies, politics and electronic music so always down to hang out and talk about those things too.
So I was playing in a friend's campaign, all going great. Except for the bard. The bard was a new player, so when they were confused on rules or needed something repeated again I understood, but it did get a bit tedious. Eventually it just seemed like they weren't paying attention at all.
So 2 sessions in and the bard has been almost nonexistent in rp or decision making. Barely even talking to us ooc. This came to a head during a dungeon.
So the dm was running the lost mines of phandelver, as a simple intro into DND before heading into his homebrew. He is a really good dm and was running it super well.
We were in the redbrands base, in front of a door. Somehow we found out there was a few redbrands playing poker inside. We made a plan to use me (paladin) and the warlock to bluff our way into the poker game and gain some info from these guys as we played. We had red cloaks stolen from other redbrands we had fought, the warlock used disguise self to look human as she was a tiefling, we planned to use the other party members as fake prisoners to gain their trust and even the dm was excited for this to all go down.
So we open the door.
Me - "Hey we're new recruits, we have some prisoners but we haven't been shown where the cells are..." Deception check Pass
Redbrands - "Yeah we'll show you. Just let us finish this game."
"Yeah no worries. Are you looking for an extra player?" Persuasion Check Pass
"Sure pull up a cha-*
Bard - "I walk in playing old town road"
Now the dm had this one rule. It was odd, interesting to play with as it made some fun situations but it also made you think more about what you do.
The rule was: If you say you do something, you do it.
So the DM, screwed over by his own rule, reluctantly rolled insight and perception checks. The figure us out and we roll initiative.
We fought and beat them, but it was hollow since all that prep and teamwork was left unused.
The game eventually fell apart due to scheduling and other things. But we still bring that line up as a joke every now and then.
Damn I miss that Paladin. Oath of conquest is dope.
> DeMar DeRozan says it's weird to be back in Toronto without his "old buddy" Kyle Lowry, also noted it's first time back since they changed the name of the arena. "But it's always good to be back." > > As a few people have pointed out, when DeMar returned in 2019 the building had already made the name change to Scotiabank Arena... Hey, it's been an eventful couple years so I think we can cut him some slack for misremembering. > > Always great to see DeMar. We joked that he got a brisk October day for his return to Toronto. "Hey, I'm used to it."
