Focusing on the nicely lit up deer decorations on their lawn, I asked my kids, “How much do you think those deer weigh?” From the back seat: “I don’t know” and “Who cares?” and “What are you talking about?” Me: “I’m just saying, they look pretty light.”
I just recently moved into a house that has a street light at the base of my driveway. My BR is on the second floor and with the newer LED retrofits its like daylight in my room at night with or without curtains drawn.
Eventually I emailed PSE to see if there was anything they could do about it and less than a week later a guy came out with a bucket truck and installed a baffle on the light.
Its nothing high tech, basically a shield they install to block the light from going backwards toward the houses.
Its not 100% better but its much more tolerable now and I appreciate that PSE would even make a courtesy call like this.
Now, I'm sure there's certain factors in place that may or may not allow PSE to make a modification like this so your experience may vary; but if you're having trouble sleeping due to a street light out front of your house it doesn't hurt to give them a call!

My street and many of the neighbouring streets has sort of "assigned" street parking. Each house has their own 1-2 car spaces in their private driveways then there's the unassigned "assigned" parking space in front of their home where it's just cordial for the resident of the house will park. There's been a couple house that have bought one or two more cars and my neighbours have been in a curfuffle over parking space while I'm gleefully at home WFH with no car.
I'm curious, is this an issue on your street?
Me and my buddy were about the hop on our motorcycles when we saw a guy trying to back up into a spot next to birdier, and he definitely hit your car and I think the one next to it we confronted him and he booked it. Soo being Good Samaritans we hopped on our motorcycles and Chase the guy down about a mile away pin them in with our bikes and confronted him he basically made up a bunch of s*** and then booked it and almost hit both of us but I managed to take a picture of his plates before he got away. let me know if this happened to you I was going to file with Denver Police but that would honestly be worthless since they don't do anything and your case would never get the light of day. I rather you be covered by insurance.

Edit: I'm not really sure why I'm getting an incredible amount of hate for doing this I literally was standing next to 20 people who literally sat there and did nothing and laughed about it. I'm pretty sure most of them are some of the people posting about this. I refuse to idly sit by as a crime happens or someone is in trouble. I love this city and will continue being a decent human being The last few years have been rough watching other humans suffer.

Hello Folks,
A new subdivision (~80 houses) is being built across the street from our house and the new entrance/exit road will line up to our driveway. I was made aware of this months ago and told the builder that it would be nice if landscape/trees were put up in-front of my house to block headlights as cars exit the subdivision (I never expected to be contacted by them about this). A rep from the builder contacted me today over phone (I was working so I couldn't talk much) and sent me an email.
It looks like they want to acquire a right of way from me (2,537 sqft - 0.058 AC to be dedicated to DOT) at the end of my driveway and put some shrubs/trees that will be 8' high. They also mentioned they'd stake the right of way and temporary work easement after the first of the year if we'd like.
We've never been approached with this type of offer before and not sure if we should sign off on this, ask additional questions etc.. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

The front of our property is about 168' wide and our house is back 118' from the road.
The road in-front is two lanes but they are going to add a turning lane which is shown on both pics. Its the arrow on the right side facing down to the new road.

Yesterday, I was sitting in my living room looking out the front widow. I see a mini van pull up beside my house. The driver, a woman, exchanges the driver’s seat with a man. They drive off. About 20 minutes later they come back. The woman gets out of the passenger seat. She opens the back door. A child gets out. She produces what looks like a potty. The child sits down. Then the woman dumps the contents of the potty in the garden. Then another child gets out of the car & sits down on the potty. I go outside & ask “Are you guys ok?” The woman said “My child had to pee.” So I said “Keep the pee in your car, don’t dump it in my front yard!” Now, if these were exhausted travellers desperate to use the bathroom with no idea where the nearest public washroom is I’d understand. But when I saw the man go retrieve something from the pick up truck across the street, I was like “heyyyy, that guy rents the bottom floor across the street!” Then they drove off again. We’re on good terms with the owners of the house across the street. And the renter is a friend of theirs. I just don’t know why he would let his friend (the mother - I have no idea how she knows him) take her kids inside to pee, rather than using my front garden as an open air toilet.
And the little map tracker showing '1 stop away' as the delivery person icon moves down my street, past my house, onto the highway, and 30 miles away before they update that they tried to deliver but couldn't.
But this is pretty much the situation where i live. Even with cameras all over the place, almost every week someone is dead by a thug in crowed places no matter what. the hitman just get rid of it and hardly he's catch by the police - the rate of homicides solved by a policie investigation is less than 10%, so the majority of murderers remain untouched by the law.
so the thousands of homicides in 'Soprano' that apparently have no legal consequences aren't so absurd in face of some national realities as in my county at least, lol
As the title says. There are several burn marks and a hole, is this something that small claims can handle and if so whats the best way to initiate it all? Thanks
