A list of puns related to "Nu metal"
I have a few:
-Gift by Taproot is better than Slipknot self-titted -Nowadays Nu Metal sucks

We are asking YOU, the member of this subreddit to pull nu-metal's most important and influential gems from 1993 to present day. While enough time has passed for tracks like Korn's "Blind," Slipknot's "Spit It Out" and Linkin Park's "In The End" to reach iconic status, we're hoping you also give love to more international and underground cuts which forced nu-metal to expand its horizons.
I know there is already nu metalcore, but it's not kind of my thing, especially bands that have pop music influence. So are there newer bands like early Slipknot, Mushroomhead, early Linkin Park or Limp Bizkit?
Iβm being the complete opposite of pedantic because Iβm referring to just the early 2000βs of metal where everything was βemo, edgyβ Nu.β [If you know what I mean]
That sound should make a comeback. I feel the metalcore scene has been dying and Nu metal is obviously dead, because I personally feel pop and rap music is more relevant than ever.
I feel 2000βs vibe of metal, emo and all that should be revived in the late 2020βs and early 2030βs. Just so people can rock out to it and listen to something a bit more nostalgic
Since the beginning, nu-metal has varied in description. From raw rapcore style and nu-adjacent grunge, to the pop anthems and industrial side, to masked heads and painted faces, and "edgy kid" amalgamations filled with alternative dynamics, nu-metal remains the most innovative and fascinating sub-genre on the planet.
Looking deep into the genre, we are asking YOU, the member of this subreddit to pull nu-metal's most important and influential gems from 1993 to present day. While enough time has passed for tracks like Korn's "Blind," Slipknot's "Spit It Out" and Linkin Park's "In The End" to reach iconic status, we're hoping you give love to more international and underground cuts which forced nu-metal to expand its horizons.
So on Monday, June 28th; we want you to vote for what you think are the most nu-metal songs. In the end, we'll develop it into a playlist.
Song donβt submit your lists yet please.
___________________________________________________
Here I want to see discussion on what you'd like to see out of this voting session:
Should we have one song per artist? Or maybe one per artist's album?
What format would you like to see us execute this?
Are there any songs you'd like to see on the list? (BEFORE YOU POST ANYTHING, WEβRE NOT VOTING YET! This is a discussion!)
You get the idea.
Discuss away and keep listening to nu-metal!

Hey guys!! I was wondering what hot ass songs I should add to my Playlist, I have a good amount on it but I know there could be way more on it π€ Thanks for helping if you give me some good ones!!
It's not really all that nu. But it tries so hard to be.
The ingredients are all there: "I'm so sad and life is cruel" lyrics, no guitar solos, drop tunings, not overly technical, a mix between clean and distorted, melodic and rhythmic riffing. Groovy, angry, the whole thing. It's so unlike previous (and later) Metallica, but ironically (trash can snare aside), its failure is that it's too Metallica.
The drumming is very Lars, either 1-2-1-2 or double kick abuse, none of the syncopation so common in nu metal. Even if it hadn't been so horribly mixed, that would have stood out. The lyrics, although certainly enough cringe and sadboi for nu, are very repetitive, and lacking rapping or screaming. Some of the riffs have potential (I'm thinking Purify, Dirty Window, and Some Kind of Monster specifically), but what kills those songs are the Metallica-typical phases of long building up, repeating riffs again and again. Whenever I hear it, I can't help but hear both the nu album it could have been, and the Metallica album it could have been, but it always falls just short of either.
What do you think? Can you see the nu-ness in it (I know it was described as "nu metal" by some people, but at the time, that was a catchall term for a lot of stuff) or not, do you think it would have had potential to become a good nu album (again, trash can snare notwithstanding... don't let the half-deaf guy mix your album, folks)
I run most morning and I've been trying to create a good nu metal playlist for my weekly hard run where I either do some interval running or a time trial.
Here's a link to the Spotify playlist and I'd love some feedback on it. Am I missing obvious songs?
Did it make your run (or workout) more enjoyable?
Which of the Big 4 of Nu Metal had the best 3rd album?
These dolls made appearances on various nu metal albums, some know of other bands that have used them other than: Kilgore, Nothingface, Korn, Geek and Gripped.
Hi peeps, i'm looking for bands that are rooted in DM but incorporate Nu elements or vice versa, examples would be stuff like:
Emmure
Suicide Silence
that one Massacre album nobody likes
Some of Slipknot's tunes on Vol 3
Diabolus in Musica
SOulfly's mid period stuff
I know Seo Taiji (obviously), TRAX and Hammer. I was wondering if I could find any others from you lads. There seems to be a lack of results from my previous searches.
