My list:
The Tradition (keep on IICHLIWP)
Bells in Santa Fe- Manic. I think it fits the theme Manic had where a lot of songs were about second guessing herself and sabotaging good things
Easier Than Lying (keep on IICHLIWP)
Lilith- HFK, for the hip hop/pop vibe
Girl is a Gun- Manic, for the twinkling pop sound
You Asked For This (keep on IICHLIWP)
Darling- Manic. Same vein as 929 and Clementine imo
1121- Manic. Sounds like a stream of consciousness with a barely-there chorus like a lot of Manic songs, similar to Ashley and killing boys imo
Honey- HFK, could replace Strangers and fit in with the sound of hfk I think. Maybe badlands too for its somewhat mellow alt sound
Whispers- badlands. The introspective lyrics and dark sound is very badlands!
I am not a woman Iβm a god- hfk. Idk, just the tone and lyrics
The lighthouse (keep on IICHLIWP)
Yaβaburnee- Manic. Sounds like a melancholy sweet love song
SOLVED: Marika Hackman - Hand Solo
Played on the radio last night in the car, but I didnβt catch the station, and when I went back through the list of songs played on the usual stations at that time, I couldnβt find it, so it must have been a station I didnβt check (although thank god for modern life where radio stations will display tracklists of the weekβs songs)
I am pretty sure I heard this song on the 105.3 (San Francisco) radio show Soundcheck between 2014-2018. But they have deleted all their playlists pre-2019 because of new ownership.
Heard a song and forgot to Shazam it. It has a classic chorus (pop punk rock) like Avril Lavgine and the voice sounds like Halsey. I wanna say it could be 2018/2019 but could be earlier than that. Pls help! The chorus is something like "Hey! I wanna ..."but honestly dont know the lyrics da da dat dat da daa da duh duuh
Iβm sure itβs been asked before, but I know that tastes can evolve. Whatβs your favorite song by Halsey?
Mine is either 3AM, Roman Holiday, or Is There Somewhere. Theyβre most often on repeat. If I had to choose just one of them, Iβd say 3AM. Itβs the most fun to sing along. Anyone else?
Am I going crazy, I feel like it.
Recently found this song and couldnβt believe the lyrics, perfectly describes what itβs like to be in love with a narcissist. Canβt stop listening as itβs offering me some form of clarity that itβs not just me thinking like this and he is the problem and always will be.
Almost certain itβs Halsey who is singing or someone very similar. Might have a male singer on part of the track. Possibly heard on triple j (aus radio station)
The lyrics Iβm remembering are sung in like a glitched out voice or electronically edited. It could be the chorus as I think itβs repeated in the song. Lyrics are similar to this
βNow weβve got a whole lot, a whole lot, of loveβ Or could be βNow we gotta hold on, hold on, to loveβ
Would love your help guys!!
EDIT: Was not Halsey π Song is crawled outta love - Illenium
Hello all,
Ok, to give you some context. My dad had two Beatles greatest hits albums on CD (one is 1963 to 1966 and the other is 1967 to 1970) and we listed to them in the car many, many times. I loved listening to the albums and they are the reason I still love the Beatles.
The other day, I found Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey on YouTube and I discovered, it isn't a Beatles song! At first, I thought the title was just wrong so I checked another video. Again, it said "Paul and Linda McCartney" I was in shock because I could have sworn I heard that song on the Beatles album (specifically the '67 to '70 one) It even reminded me of Sgt. Pepper and/or Yellow Submarine (mostly because of the line "hands across the water, hands across the sky". I even envision George Harrison playing the cool trumpet part. I can't think of where else I could have heard it. Most classic rock and 70's music radio stations dont play much of Paul's music (at least where I'm from)
How could my mind betray me like this? I had such great and vivid memories of this great Beatles song. But its not a Beatles song, and I have never heard it on CD.
Thanks for reading, CoolWizard88
Can anyone tell what is going on here and how to play with Stepjan
Both are a couple of the biggest pop songs right now with very different perspectives on the wellbeing of an significant other. Halsey is more or less saying fuck you to G eazy for what he put her through and how he used her. Dan Smith is definitely nicer and is breaking up with whoever he was dating because the relationship had become stagnant and he realized she wasn't happy anymore.
I like both, Halsey and Dan are both talented and deserve all the success they've received. They both define what the standard for mainstream pop is going into 2019.
Also considering making this a weekly Song vs. Song series looking at two songs that matter in the mainstream at some point in history. I'd go into greater detail about artist history and song impact I thought I'd start and see whether people give a fuck.
I found the holy grail of finds back in July. Found new, sealed Brio for 60-70% off. So I did the reasonable things and bought pretty much the whole catalog. I have 45 different packages.
I am tempted to just blow my kids' minds this Christmas by setting up an entire brio world for them to wake up to. But I worry it could dampen all future Christmas mornings.
I am 80% not going to do it, but I remember some stand out Christmas mornings and how magical those were to me, so I'm just curious how many train lovers would have loved waking up to something like above.
This came across my feed this morning. I'm on CD1 and already feeling emotional, but holy cow, it is so so beautiful. What a powerful song.

The Young Oswald found himself pacing in his chamber. As a knight and heir to Blacktyde he felt the pressure of finding a bride. Yet no matter the situation, Oswald found himself longing for Lady Sibyl. Yet all these years he had not spoken a word of his feelings lest the Lady not share the same feelings. But it was either now or never. Oswald wrapped in his fine silks, brand new boots he knocked on Lord Hewett's door.
The rumoured lead single of Halsey's upcoming album, Hopeless Fountain Kingdom, leaked.
I really like it, it's different from anything else she's released - it wouldn't fit on Room 93 or Badlands - but it's still very much a Halsey song. The production is very Halsey-meets-Needed Me and I dig it. Don't know how I would feel it about it being the lead single though.
She's on IG live announcing lots of stuff RN (including that there will be listening parties) and showing us her dog
edit: she's also confirming that there will be 2 unrelated collabs coming out soon (one with Bring Me The Horizon and another one with "a friend")
