I'm trying to add a line to a button on our ancient Nortel phones, and everything I've searched online says after logging into programming, on the "Terminals & Sets" page, select show and you'll see "Line Access". But on my system it goes straight to "Capabilities". Has anyone ever come across this?

Just inherited this old workhorse. It has a bunch of modules on it and I am so new to this I don't even know what the model number is or what to start researching. I am going to try to supply it with a different PRI than I have now and I imagine I would need to have it re-programed?

Where would I find the model number if the above are not it?

We're planning on upgrading our phone system over the summer to VOIP. We currently have a Nortel Norstar system that is failing more and more and getting harder to fix so we need to do something. Since Avaya bought Nortel, the Avaya partners are encouraging us to consider upgrading to an Avaya system. However, I would prefer to avoid on-premise hardware so I don't need to worry about upgrades, backups, redundancy, etc. I'm assuming the upfront/capital costs would be high as well, and we're better off budgetarily with recurring expenses. I've also heard that Avaya systems can be hard to manage for someone new to VOIP. Currently we have a vendor that repairs our Nortel system and performs MACs as needed. I would prefer cloud and something I can quickly learn and manage myself. I've heard 3CX is becoming popular in schools because they price by concurrent call rather than extension, the software is very inexpensive, and they have most of the features that brands like RingCentral and Avaya have. I found a local 3CX partner that offers Cloud VOIP at a very reasonable price that accommodates the typical school model of many low usage phones. They are 3CX Platinum Partners and 3CX Advanced Engineer certified. I'd welcome any feedback on whether to go with Avaya or 3CX, or if you have another system you prefer. I don't have the time or expertise to self-host or use something like FreePBX. Thanks in advance.
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
