A list of puns related to "New Delhi (Delhi Assembly constituency)"
a nice message to all IITians who leave India , there is one who stayed and now will rule the place where he started.
For a sample, read this: http://archive.tehelka.com/story_main35.asp?filename=Ne031107ReportersDiary.asp
There have been at least 20 cover stories by Khetan in Tehelka, each of which would have taken a semester of graduate studies level work. Many of them did involve threat to his life.
This is Julian Assange level, only that Khetan got many criminals convicted and sentenced by collecting evidence, risking his life many times and going to hundreds of court hearings.
Are the times changing! Finally, the leaders we deserve.
I have been following up videos/posts/articles on New Delhi election and have been speaking to people around. From what I have gathered it looks like AAP might win 70/70 seats in New Delhi. I would like to know what is your opinion and how would this affect Indian politics ? Will AAP have a chance to grab a few seats in the neighboring states based on the work?
Below is the basis for what i have written above:
a. AAP has drastically improved the education system in New Delhi and has got international recognition for it. Govt. schools under Delhi state government have done much better than the schools run by MCD under the BJP
b. Under AAP New Delhi has a surplus budget and has given subsidies to people on electricity and water. I remember the days when the tanker mafias had control over the water supply.
c. AAP has improved access to healthcare in New Delhi ( I have heard of stories where people have saved lives because of the new system)
compared to other parties
Congress: Does not even look like it is contesting the election
BJP : It resorts to the same old tactics of inciting communal riots and acting as a guardian of Hinduism.
