A list of puns related to "Network virtualization"
Hey everyone,
I've covered virtualization in a small way in many of my current courses. As a bit of a side project for my home, I have an older machine that I'd like to test a few things on. I'm familiar with how to set up VMs within Windows Server, but what I am wanting to try is to connect a Raspberry Pi into the VM and stream movies or maybe play Minecraft (for my daughter). This is more of a learning experience than trying to find a great solution.
Does anyone have any resources they could point me to help with this?
I am so hesitated. I have been given options to join the department I want in IT and Iβm contemplating whether I should join the VMware team (Data center virtualization) or join the Network operations team.. i dont know what the future of those would be and in more demand and most importantly, offers higher payroll in companies. I am hoping you could help me with that please.
Thank you in advance
I'm trying to setup PXE boot. I want to create a VM as test client. I don't see option for Network boot in settings.
I am running a VM in virt-manager with nested virtualization, and I would this VM to use my router's DHCP server which is on the 172.16.0.0/23 subnet
Furthermore, this VM in virt-manager will be running a vagrant box and a minikube box (because I need to use virtualbox for this specific vagrant box), So this virt-manager VM will have a network switch in the guest that handles the vagrant boxes. The main vagrant box will have an ip of 10.0.1.111, and there will be a few other boxes that sit alongside this one with similar ips in the 10.0/16 subnet
How would I set this up so I can access those IPs within my windows machine?
Hello
Im setting up my APC UPS and Im at a point where Im not sure what to do.
Im installing the PowerChute Network Shutdown software (Ive tried both the virtual appliance and Windows) and Ive added my ESXi host. Communication works (no error or anything) but when I log in, I do NOT see "Virtualization Settings". There is NO menu so I cant really configure anything.
Why is this happening?
Can't seem to find the answer to this. Maybe because it's so simple and I'm over thinking/looking.
Can 1 physical network adapter (NIC) create/be linked to multiple vmnics. (vmnic01, vmnic02, vmnic03, etc)
Or does 1 physical adapter (NIC) ONLY belong to 1 vmnic. (vmnic01)
Any help would be much appreciated!
