A list of puns related to "Negative pressure ventilator"
How would you design an Iron Lung that could be easily produced in countries/situations where there is not the availability and trained personnel to have an adequate supply of intubation ventilators for needs?
Affirmative belief, you happen to be repelling yours truly away from his destination
You engage in this repulsion at least once per period of 24 hours
Although this is, in fact, unintentional, it, regardless, inflicts pain upon yours truly that could be likened to damnation
The organ of mine that controls my every function, including the nervous system, announces that I happen to be receiving painful impulses generally distributed around my body
A shortage of the dioxygen gas present in the atmosphere which allows breathing, and, in turn, biological existence
Delivered from the machine which maintains my vital functions, the negative pressure ventilator belonging to yours truly
The members of the musical ensemble you are currently partaking in the listening of, "Radiohead", happen to be at a youthful age where death, likened to eternal slumber, would be premature
However, our success has left us jaded and disillusioned to such a point that we have distanced ourselves from the glamorous celebrity lifestyle
Myself - "Thomas", Jonathan, Colin, Edward and Philip could be described as having lost their passion, if you are unable to already gleam this information from our melancholy lyrical style and mannerisms?
We fulfil, our everlasting desire, which could be likened to a discomfortable sensation on the skin which requires scratching
That desire being the desire to produce more compositions, which, in style, resemble the overdone mechanisms of the twentieth century A.D., and could be described as said century's "bitch"
Radiohead offer their collective thanks for the relevance brought by their song "Creep", which, although allowing their survival, restricts their playing style, and as such, is similar to a negative pressure ventilator in which the band is collectively trapped
The record producers who desire to profit our talent, referred to as "headshrinkers", they desire to control my every aspect for which it is possible to do so
This includes removing this album's dedication to the late and great comedian Bill Hicks, and removing my sense of self-guidance in songwriting which could be likened to a Belisha beacon lighting my way

... keep reading on reddit β‘Alright... so this is a pretty rare phenomenon but I swear some songs sound like they have "negative pressure". The best example I can think of is Muse - Citizen Erased (timestamped YT link, click here for Spotify link and scrub to 5:50 --- headphones recommended). The moving "pressure" sounds like it's taking things OUT of my ear, if that even makes sense.
Another example (Spotify link) someone played on JQBX and it caught my ear (not a fan of the song itself fwiw)
Is there a technical term for this type of effect?
We have a water heater suddenly leaking CO due to negative pressure from HVAC. Started to happen just recently after years of no issues. I suspect a leak in pipes in crawl space which will check out tonight.
Are there any other reasons this can happen?
My hospital is currently at or very near capacity. All out COVID rooms are full. Weβve had an uptick in patients who are testing positive when we test them for discharge or test them routinely every 7 days.
When they test positive they keep them in the regular hospital rooms and donβt do anything to mitigate the potential spread. They used to put hepa filters in the rooms but not this wave.
This is clearly a huge infection risk with an airborne virus but my question is, is this any type of osha violation? I looked on the osha website but I couldnβt find anything specific. Iβve tried mentioning this issue to higher ups but they just essentially say it is what it is.
Have anyone experienced this?
Hey all, curious about my fan situation. My temp is at about a solid 86 with just the lights on and a small oscillating fan. Today I turned on the big extractor fan for the first time and it seems like I've got some negative pressure, wondering if I should try to fix it or leave it. I also wanted to know how long y'all run the exhaust fan. If it's a 24/7 kind of thing, or intervals, or just as needed?
I have a 32''x32''x63' tent and a 4" fan, at about 189 cfm/m + carbon filter.
The tent just sucks in, like a juice box, I haven't left it on for more than an hour but I worry about extended time like bending the PVC or something else going wrong.
So, what to do? Thinking either I could get a mechanical timer and do it for 30 mins hourly or some ratio? Would that work and does it have to be any special timer for fans? Saw some that go on certain intervals for bathroom fans, idk.
Another option would be rearranging my vents to have them trading air and getting to some neutral pressure. My current vents are a large hole at the bottom I use for wires and cinched, a small hole I'm exhausting out of near the top, and a big one out the top that I just have closed.
I originally put the exhaust out the small hole because it matched the duct size, but now I'm thinking about exhausting out the top, but the hole is bigger than the ducting, it has those cinch things, but I don't exactly want to fuck with it if it's not going to work...
Anyway, that's all for now, appreciate any tips!
So i was watching a video made by Mitch Summers about interviewing Paul Alexander the polio survivor that have to live inside the iron lung, when he was asked about why can't he just live inside a portable ventilator, he answered that all of the product are positive pressure ventilator and the iron lung help him suck the air out. So is there a reason that he can't use the positive pressure ventilator? And is there any portable negative pressure ventilator out there?
I was reading some data from a pitot tube and there was system requirement that goes along the line of "If the dynamic pressure is greater than -400Pa, then it will be considered a valid reading". Guaranteed that I haven't paid much attention in Fluid Dynamics/Aerodynamics classes, and Google search not showing me anything, can dynamic pressure be negative? Wouldn't the velocity formulation via Bernoulli no longer work?
I was flippantly diagnosed with Bruxism (thanks, Lexapro) after years on an SSRI. I've been dealing with it for a while, and have been told it is the cause of my headaches.
I've noticed that I don't grind my teeth as much as I do create a negative pressure in my mouth by sucking, tensing up my entire face. Does anyone else do this?
Also, my glasses are relatively heavy, so I have to scrunch often if I want to keep them in place. Unless I've just washed my face.
Anyone here have a similar experience?
I just had surgery on Dec 30th, and when I woke up they had put a Prevena Incision Management system (negative pressure wound vac) on. According to what I've read, its can help to reduce swelling, can stimulate tissue growth and can help pull the edges of the wound together. Wondering if any of you had this, and if you found that it helped you heal better or had any impact on your scars?
I am a long term believer on LCID and am holding quite a few shares. I am signed up for the securities lending program through my broker, which pays me interest for the privelage of loaning out my shares to short sellers. Yesterday, for the first time in several months I got a notice from them that they were loaning out my shares at 2%. Last time this happened was this summer when the interest rate offered spiked at something like 30% after several weeks of daily rises. While the interest rate was rising, the price of the stock was steadily falling, with it ultimately dipping down (briefly) below $18. Now, I don't see any reason why it would dip this low, but why is there enough demand to short the stock all of the sudden for my broker to be paying me to borrow my stocks again?
I just had a TTT done today for POTS diagnosis, but it was negative as my resting rate was 88 and I only went to 98. That being said, they didnβt do the other portion of the test with nitro or the electric currents. On my poor mans tilt table tests at home, I have always been 35+ bpm and sustained it.
One thing that was new to me and struck me odd is that my blood pressure was extremely high.
The baseline they took was 136/85. I had another appointment like 2 hours before this and I was 110/74, but blood pressure can change within hours and thatβs normal.
But, with the baseline at the beginning of the test being supine being 136/85 and it raising nearing dangerous within 15 minutes isnβt normal, right?
153/100 138/97 145/111 160/105 148/88 137/104 153/108 156/129 149/113 (this was my BP before they let me leave)
This doesnβt sound normal. Why did being upright cause this response? Theyβd said it wasnβt dysautonomia, so Iβm wondering if anyone else has any thoughts.
Unreleased, unheard demos. Like an Anthology release... Including a studio release of pictures of matchstick men with Peters vocals. I know the cassette version is it there but... You know.
Who do we flood with requests?
Hi everyone,
I recently acquired a 3M 7502 respirator and 6035 filters. 3M's instructions manual says that with 6035/6038 filters we have to do the negative pressure user seal check (and other filters should do the positive pressure one).
I can pass a negative pressure user seal check, but not a positive one. My mother (same mask/filters model but I have a round face/full cheeks while her cheeks are hollow) can pass both negative and positive pressure checks.
What's the logic? Especially since all the filters in question are bayonet-style filters so we can press them to Β« close the airways Β». How can my mask be well-fitted when air leaks out via the sides when I exhale while blocking the exhalation valve?
I checked 3M's user seal check videos and while (at least) two employees do indeed the negative pressure check with 6035 filters, in another video, (at least) one employee does both negative and positive checks with 6035 filters (I say Β«at leastΒ» because for now I only checked the English-speaking videos).
Thanks very much!
Edit: also, when performing a negative pressure check, sometimes I hear a whistling sound on my left (I'd say it comes from the filter and not from leaks). Is this normal or can it be a sign I'm doing the check wrong?
I'm looking for an alternative, anyone have success with another wallet?
