A list of puns related to "Natural language generation"
Hi everyone!
I'm excited to announce a new community for Natural Language Generation! This community is for anyone interested in the field, from beginners to experts.
We'll be discussing all aspects of it and their tools/platforms, not necessarily about OpenAI. We'll also be sharing resources, such as tutorials and news.
The community is very new and we are looking for moderators, if you want to help, please reach me at discord: ceifa#4881
Can anyone recommend a software library that generates natural language based on syntactic and semantic rules?
In other words, it should have rules internally integrated for how words are composed into sentences, especially depending on some kind of semantic contextual factors.
Thanks
Natural language generation (NLG) is a broad term that encompasses a variety of tasks that generate fluent text from input data and other contextual information. In actuality, the goals of these jobs are frequently very different. Some well-known instances of NLG include compressing a source article into a brief paragraph conveying the most significant information, converting content presented in one language into another, and creating unique responses to drive the discourse.
Natural language processing has advanced at a breakneck pace in terms of enhancing and developing new models for various jobs. However, assessing NLG remains difficult: human judgment is considered the gold standard, but it is typically costly and time-consuming to get. Automatic evaluation, on the other hand, is scalable, but itβs also time-consuming and challenging. This problem originates because each work has varied quality requirements, making it difficult to establish what to assess and how to measure it.
Researchers from Carnegie Mellon University, Petuum Inc., MBZUAI and UC San Diego recently took a step in this direction by developing a single framework for NLG evaluation that makes it easier to create metrics for various language generation tasks and characteristics.
Some Mturk news I found.

On first blush, I'd just like a private system that allows me to store and organize all the information I keep gathering (some might say hoarding) in a way that is organized and interconnected and easy to search and navigate, and also that is physically under my control, rather than relying on "the cloud" or some subscription-based service from a third party. Though I might be open to distributed, P2P solutions as well, as long as they're reliable.
In the short term, I need to decide which of these CMS to use.
In the long term, I'd like to implement web apps that do data analytics on the wiki, and automatically generate concept maps, flow diagrams, and other graphic knowledge representations based on natural-language-processing of the contents.
What is the best short-term approach for this long-term project? I'd like to write as little code as possible myself: I'm perfectly happy retrofitting others' works into this, and crediting them in all the appropriate ways. I'd really like to avoid spending time groping in the dark around a wall, looking for a door, when all along it was a cliff that was in front of me, but I also understand that this sort of misery is part of the whole programmer experience, especially if you want to avoid proprietary software.
Should I buy something like a Synology 4 bay NAS DiskStation? Should I use Debian for an OS, or a fork thereof? I'd like the most privacy, security, and reliability for the minimum headache. Budget is, fortunately, not a big problem. Time is a bigger issue, since I'm doing this between jobs and will likely continue it as a side hustle/hobby project.
Hey everyone! Made a post and started delving into this space a few months ago when i decided to take this on for my Final Year Project. Find my post here: https://www.reddit.com/r/LanguageTechnology/comments/jvo6ec/what_is_the_technology_behind_automated_insights/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3
I've been building and simultaneously reading papers and enhancing my designs. Wanted to ask if anyone else is or has been working on this type of projects. Would love to know if there is a community in this space or any open source projects happening because from what i see, people working on this would be mainly also working in the companies that are building these systems :/ Would love to hear what challenges have been faced while building these systems. Coding is hard enough, creating a system that generates text that makes grammatical sense and fluent is SUPER difficult.
The ad on the page takes you to an AI project but it doesnt go vack and forth with you. Sam has an interest in AI.
Ediit; the best one online is called Kuki.

Its not very good but then we people have a couple hundred thousand years of chatting so all in all its impressive. But when I asked it if it could do anything creative it told me that it could probably make a tomato if it looked it up online..
Hi everyone,
We are conducting a research study at Aalto University in Finland to find out whether artificial intelligence language models can generate novel, valuable quest descriptions for role-playing video games.
If you are at least 18 years old, and have some experience with role-playing games, weβd love to invite you to participate in our online study. You will rate a total of 25 RPG quest descriptions that were generated with an AI model. Most of the quest descriptions are short; completing the survey should take no more than 15 minutes of your time.
This link will take you to the survey:

I've been working in a text-to-paint together with diavlex in an Ai+Art collaboration. The idea is to specify a prompt in natural language ant tell the machine what to paint using strokes and not a pixel level, as an human artist would do.
Here is the overview of the implementation: https://www.libreai.com/diavlex-text-to-paint-using-neural-painters-and-clip/ .
The links to the notebook are below so you can try it yourself. Note that it is the same notebook hosted in Kaggle and Colab. If you are part of Kaggle's community, it is probably a better option given that a currently Kaggle offers a `NVIDIA TESLA P100` for all notebook sessions. Whereas using Google Colab you might get a less powerful GPU for your session.

* Notebook at Colab: https://colab.research.google.com/drive/1UI9pKM-nxPMDet16NfnMPCuQyh2L1OGq
The following steps capture the essence of our idea, note that we use pseudocode based on Python, which does not necessary reflect the models' API. Please have a look to the notebook itself for the actual code and methods used.
Hi Everyone!
discovered this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/LanguageTechnology/comments/7sp076/what_are_some_accessible_final_year_project_ideas/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3 recently and I'm in a similar situation.
I'm SUPER new into NLP, and deep learning, i come from a information system background where we do a bit of software as well as management. For my final year project, I'm looking to to use stock data and then generate a paragraph or so about the particular company. I'm thinking of comparing whether the stock dropped or raised and then have the system generate a positive or negative sentiment paragraphs. I wanted to also input a series of stock or generic news of a particular company previously to fill up the content of the articles. But honestly I'm not too sure if it's even feasible or a model is capable of performing like this.
Some resources that were mentioned for me to take reference: Narrative Science,Automated Insights , SimpleNLG, Jurafsky and Martin book. Is there anyone with similar experience working on this and can share more or share resources that would be great!
