A list of puns related to "National emblem of France"
It's the only bird that still sings when it's standing on a shit pile.
Happy Bastille Day!
I know National Emblem is the official patch maker for the NHL right now as they resurrected the 2015-2016 Inaugural Brooklyn patch for me earlier this year, but I'm in need of a Sabres patch from the mid-90s that I absolutely cannot find anywhere online.
Does anyone know if it has always been National Emblem or did they take over those duties from another company?
Hey everyone! I've finally finished the guide to all the leaders of National France. While I am longwinded when I don't want to be, and I certainly don't want to be here, this'll still be longer than you'd probably like but there is just so much to cover! I have to say I know what the people who make the PRs go through lol.
Now, I'll level with you. The end game leaders threw me for a bit of a loop as I had to rely solely on the code as I could not get to see a second Presidential election. So, I'll say this now instead of at the bottom: If anything looks wrong or you think should be clarified, kindly let me know so I can change it.
Lastly, if you haven't checked out any of the PRs for National France, here they are. Instead of adding an image in of the various focus trees, the PRs already have them as links so I thought it easy just to insert them here where needed. The gfx may have changed but they get the point across.
By 1936, the remnants of the French Republic have been in exile for over 15 years, and under a military junta for the last 10. Marshal Philippe Pétain (nicknamed Lion of Verdun for his service at the Battle of Verdun) heads the Military Council as its President leading his Pat Aut faction of the Provisional Military Government. His right hand man is Vice-President and fellow Marshal Louis Franchet d'Espèrey, who is in charge of military affairs. The junta cannot last forever as pro-democratic and royalist forces threaten the military's hold on power.
In the armed forces of the French Republic there are two competing schools of thought on not only how France came to lose the war (the why being the inefficiency, personal feuds and a general lack of coordination of the military) and but also how it can be corrected.
I don't know if many non french speaker know that, but we don't actually have gender neutral pronouns, or options whatsoever in French language. Everything, down to every inanimate object or even any concept is gendered. Worse, adverbs and adjectives pronounciation changes depending on the gender of the nouns it's completing. Verbs are affected too. Young groups of freshly diplomed language researchers came up with a few option as of gender neutral options, and a new way of "inclusive writing". Our institution are all screaming bloody murder at our "beautiful language", deeming the new inclusive way unreadable, unteachable, and prophetising it's teaching in our elementary schools will be the reason for future failing in learning to read and to write correctly, pointing fingers at the community and accusing us of using their children as guinea pigs for "our fantasies and whims". As elections are nearing, politicians are seizing the subjects to try and appeal to the majority, shutting down every budding NB friendly initiative in their wake. And since trans right are as new as this kind of initiative, it's also thrown in the middle of it, everything is tangled and mixed up, every supposed "expert" invited on debate TV misgendering, misexplaining and doing a mess of all that has been constructed so far by my generation... It's so taxing. Looks like all of my NB friends and myself will have to move to an English speaking country, after all. X) Thanks for reading my rant, anyway, have a nice day. I needed venting. Thanks.
Excuse the long post, just thought this might be of interest to my fellow r/rugbyunion friends and especially those that don't always hear a huge amount about the lesser known France players.
Thibaud Flament, 23 years old from Paris, moved to Loughborough Uni at 18 playing FH in the fifth team until someone wisely pulled out the 6'8" slow fucker who might be better suited for lock.
He obviously shone, found his way in the first team and then did a year abroad in Argentina at Club Newman in Buenos Aires (same club Felipe Contepomi started out at).
On his return was spotted by Wasps scouts, was put into the 'A' team in Nat 1, then brought up into the senior side, playing 15 games in his only season in the prem and by all accounts performing pretty well.
He's also cultivated, and harvested, quite a lot of mass - from 90kg in his first season at Loughborough to 116kgs now.
He's since moved to Toulouse where he's been pulling up trees, playing well enough to catch Galthie's eye to be brought into the 42 man squad, and is now rumoured to be starting on Saturday.
Helps as well that he is the loveliest guy, as shown in his appearance on Le French Rugby podcast (which I would highly recommend) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGZ50nY1uNg
