A list of puns related to "Murder of Pam Basu"
Marichjhapi Massacre refers to the forcible eviction of around 40000 Bangladeshi Hindu Dalit refugees who occupied legally protected reserve forest land on Marichjhapi island in Sundarban, West Bengal, in 1979, and the subsequent death of thousands due to gunfire by police and politically-aligned goondas, blockade and subsequent starvation, and disease. It is said that the Bengal tigers of the Sundarbans became man-eaters after they feasted on the bodies of the people killed at Marichjhapi.
Background
In 1978 the refugees started to arrive in Bengal in huge numbers.
>But the Left Front meanwhile changed its policy (after forming government) on refugee settling and considered the refugees as a burden to the state, as the refugees were not the citizen of West Bengal but India.
An approximately 150,000 almost all of Dandakaranya refugees arrived (where most of them were deported back).[4] In the meanwhile approximately 40,000 refugees went south and camping for few months in Hasnabad settled in Marichjhapi (renamed by them as "Netaji Nagar"), a protected place under Reserve Forest Act.
Role of the Left Government
Left Front meanwhile changed its policy on refugee. The left government considered that an unauthorized occupation of reserved forest land. The government tried to pursue them to return to their respective place, but with little effect.
On 24 January 1979, the Government of West Bengal clamped prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the CrPC around the island of Marichjhapi. The police and the district administration started an economic blockade. Thirty police launches started patrolling the island, preventing anyone from providing food or water to the residents of the island.
31 January 1979 - Rape and Murderous acts by West Bengal Police and CPM Cadres
Survivors claim that on the morning of 31 January 1979, when some women tried to row boats to the next island to fetch drinking water, grains and medicine, the police rammed their launches into the boats and drowned all three.
Hi any Terre Haute natives - many of you will have heard of the 1972 murder of ISU student Pam Milam, who was found by her father bound and gagged in the trunk of her car on campus. Her murder went unsolved for decades until forensic genealogy led straight to her killer. TH Police Chief Shawn Keen gave me some insights into the case, how it was solved, and the murderer. He is suspected in another unsolved homicide of a young woman in the area. If youβre interested in hearing about this fascinating case, itβs Episode 8 of my podcast on cold cases cracked by forensic genealogy, DNA: ID.

Pam Milamβs body was found Sept. 16, 1972, when her father opened the trunk of her car. She was gagged with tape, bound with rope and had been raped andΒ strangled.
Terre Haute Police Chief Shawn Keen, who worked the case himself for the past 11 years,Β told a news conference Milamβs killer had been identified as Jeffrey Hand after DNA from the crime scene was uploaded to the genealogy website GEDMatch and produced a match to a distant relative of Handβs. Hand was 23 at the time of the murder, working as a music records salesman.
Hand has been dead since aΒ deputy killed him Indiana in 1978 when he saw Hand trying to abduct a woman, Keen said.

Anyone working on games, be careful of this guy who claims he can help you with animation...
This guy has been posting in all Facebook groups - the Godot group too, posting showreels, sending out animation contract agreements and pretends to be a Disney employee who's 'specialised' in CG.
He's scammed a lot of people, and he's been doing it for a while, so be careful!

This was by far the nicest moment of the whole show. This was a turning point between the two relationships. You can really tell how much he loved his employees
###Mr Bachchan, congratulations on your 1,000th episode. But is there a major commercial compromise going on at KBC?
it has gone down to the level of a Kapil Sharma or Bigg Boss show by becoming a platform for the promotion of films already declared box-office duds. the win-win arrangement where stars come gratis on a chosen bunch of TV shows, and the producers of the programmes would get much-coveted faces to glamorize their episodes without dipping into their pockets.
KBC has also been insidiously marketing its sponsor, a learning app, through a studentsβ special. Amitabh has such an affably natural connect with children that most of the episodes were cute as a button. he asked many of them how they had prepared themselves for a show like KBC. The answer, my friend, was not blowing in the wind. It was blowing from the marketing department as the frequent reply was that it was courtesy the learning app that held a childrenβs contest and is the main sponsor of KBC.
