A list of puns related to "Murder of Cynthia Okogosu"
On the afternoon of May 18, 1969, 10-year-old Cynthia Warrick left her New Haven, Indiana home to go out and play. It was 3:30pm and Cynthia planned to walk to the local drugstore, a popular place in town where kids went to browse the comic books, buy candy, and use the pay phone to call friends. When she failed to return home on time later that evening, Cynthiaβs parents, Ruth and Billie Warrick, assumed Cynthia was at a friends house. However as the night wore on, and Cynthia failed to make contact, her parents grew more concerned. Shortly before 11pm Ruth and Billie reported their daughter missing.
Cynthia was the youngest of the Warrickβs three children, and their only daughter. She was a fourth grade student at Sunnymede Elementary School and was in the special education class, however by all accounts she was a very bright, lively, and independent student who never let her disability stop her from doing what everyone else did.
Cynthia was also known as quite the βtomboy.β According to her teachers, she preferred pants over dresses, didnβt like her hair to be brushed or styled, and could always be found challenging, and mostly beating, the boys on the playground at races or other βplayground competitions.β She was also known to be somewhat of a βdaredevil.β Less than a week prior, Cynthia had leapt from a swing at a neighbors house, resulting in a broken wrist and a trip to the hospital where her arm was wrapped in a white plaster cast.
When police arrived at the Warrickβs home, located at 177 Sturm Street, they took the report from her parents and the search for Cynthia began. It was learned Cynthia had made it to the drugstore, her intended destination. The clerk immediately recognized a picture of Cynthia, as she had been to the store countless times in the past. He informed police that he had seen Cynthia earlier that day. According to him, she had used the pay phone, browsed the candy and comics, and then exited the store.
A second witness recalled seeing Cynthia walking nearby a short time later past a place called βPalβs,β a truck stop where Cynthiaβs parents worked during the week, located near the junction of highways US 30 and US 24. A third and final witness claimed to see Cynthia walking through the parking lot of βKingβs,β a department store located just a short distance from the drugstore in town. After the last sighting however, it appeared as though Cynthia had vanished.
Police continued to search throughout the night, howe

Itβs a shocking saga that exposes a lot of corruption in law enforcement and Iβve never seen it discussed on Reddit, so I figured it warranted a write-up. This is extremely long (I like to go super in depth and include as many details as possible), but itβs worth the read IMO so check it out when youβve got some spare time. Feel free to skip straight ahead to Donna and Cindyβs murders if youβre in a rush or arenβt interested in the background info.
Background In the mid to late 1980βs, there was an alarming amount of women being murdered in the western states. The Green River Killer, Southside Slayer, and Night Stalker dominated all of the headlines. But through it all, a similar pattern was quietly unfolding in San Diego and receiving almost no media coverage outside of the city.
The string of cases involving missing and murdered women in San Diego during this time period grew to around 43 total, most of which were what law enforcement called βfringe womenβ - meaning women who were prostitutes, addicts, exotic dancers, homeless, or involved with biker gangs. Detectives still do not know exactly how many perpetrators were involved in all of these slayings and disappearances. In the following years, police hypothesized that an ex-marine named Ronald Elliot Porter (who was already in prison for another murder) was responsible for approximately thirteen of the murders, though he has never been formally charged with them. Another three murders are believed to have been the work of Blake Raymond Taylor who was also already in prison for murder - and just like Porter, has never been formally charged with the suspected slayings. Around nine further cases were solved and lead to the convictions of multiple individual murderers, none of which with any apparent connections to the other San Diego murders. The remaining 17+ murders/disappearances are still considered unsolved. Today I want to tell you guys about two of these women - Donna Gentile and Cynthia Maine - who I firmly believe were not murdered by johns, pimps, or an elusive serial killer, but were in fact killed by the San Diego police officers themselves.
The Complicated Relationships between the Prostitutes and the Police:
To start, itβs important to go over the sometimes hostile - yet often co-dependent - relationship that many members of the San Diego police force had with local prostitutes during this timeframe. One disturbing note is that wh

Lawrence Timmons, 65- years old, was arrested August 19, 2019 for forgery on a job application. He lied about his past felony conviction on his application to liquor store. He faces charges of first degree murder and seven other felony charges including unlawful procession of a firearm as a convicted felon.
Timmons is suspected of two other homicides, the 1994 murder of his first wife and the 1998 drowning of an 11-year old girl. He was convicted and sentenced to seven years in prison for the kidnapping and assault of a young boy but only served three years before being paroled.
Even if he is not convicted of the murder charges he will likely spend some time in jail, three to ten years, if convicted of the forgery and unlawful possession of firearms because of his past felony conviction.
The Murder of Cynthia Hoffman - Alaskan Teens Promised $9 Million Online to Film Kill
Cynthia Hoffman was lured to a hiking trail northeast of Anchorage where she was bound with duct tape and shot once in the back of the head before being pushed into a river. First-degree murder and other charges have been laid out against six people in her death.
Two Alaskan teens were hoping to cash in on a $9 million dollar offer from an alleged Midwestern millionaire killed Cynthia, a developmentally disabled woman, on a trail outside Anchorage by shooting her in the back of the head and dumping her body in a river.
The alleged millionaire's only demand for the payout was either photos or video of the murder, per court documents which laid out first-degree murder and other charges against six people in the June 2 death of Cynthia. Among those charged is Darin Shilmiller, whom authorities say presented himself as the millionaire "Tyler" from Kansas, using a fake photograph. Court documents say that, "He does not look like the young man he portrayed himself to look like, he is not a millionaire and he lives in Indiana."
About three weeks before Hoffman was killed, Denali Brehmer and Schilmiller began discussing a plan to rape and murder someone in Alaska. Schilmiller offered Brehmer nine or more million dollars to carry out the murder and to have photographs and/or videos of the murder sent to him. Brehmer agreed to committ the murder for him.
Brehmer enlisted the help of four friends, include 19 year-old Caleb Leyland, gunman 16 year-old Kayden McIntosh and two other unnamed juveniles, to plan and carry out the murder at Schilmiller's direction. The group met to decide how they would divvy up the money. McIntosh is being charged as an adult.
Cynthia was allegedly best friends with Brehmer, and she was chosen by the group as the victims. Brehmer and McIntosh used Leyland's pickup on 2 June to take Brehmer on a hike to Thunderbird Falls, about 20 miles north of Anchorage. According to court papers, the group went off trail and followed a path to the bank of the Eklutna River, where Cynthia was bound, shot and thrown into the river. There was no indication that Cynthia was sexually assaulted.
Officials allege they destroyed some of her clothing, purse and mobile phone, and Brehmer texted Cynthia's family to let them know they dropped her off at Polar Bear Park in Anchorage. Two days later, both Brehmer and McIntosh were interviewed. McIntosh was arrested

Iβm originally from West Virginia, born and raised, so Cynthiaβs unsolved murder has always been close to my heart. Cynthia Jane Miller, 27 years old, was a much loved daughter, friend, and school teacher in Beckley, West Virginia. She was brutally murdered in her home on the evening of August 26th, 1981, as she was finishing last minute preparations for her much anticipated wedding that would take place the very next day to Gary OβNeill, a police officer in the nearby town of Lester, West Virginia. Cynthia was the proud owner of a lovely spacious 4 bedroom home at 103 Miller Street in Beckley that she had purchased from her Grandfather who had built the home himself. She was so excited to begin her life with Gary as husband and wife in this home. Cynthia also had become a landlady when she converted her basement into a one bedroom apartment and rented it out to a young woman named Terri Boland. Terri was in this basement apartment on the evening of August 26 as Cynthia busied herself in her final wedding preparations. Aside from teaching, being a Landlady, and preparing for both the wedding and her new teaching job at Park Junior High School, Cynthia was also a sales representative for the popular Avon cosmetic company. At 9:00pm on August 26th she made a telephone call to her Avon Manager for some assistance with one of her customer orders she needed to complete so it wasnβt hanging over her on their wedding weekend. Because Cynthia and her manager were also friends, they enjoyed a 20 minute conversation. Her Avon Manager said she was upbeat, so very happy, and couldnβt stop talking about her wedding the following day. Their conversation ended at precisely 9:20pm. Ten minutes later at 9:30pm, Gary called Cynthia from his parents home where he had been visiting in Princeton, WV, a town approximately 45 minutes away, to tell her he was running late in getting home. He had left Cynthiaβs home that evening at 7:00pm to visit with his parents and she was expecting him back at 11:00pm. To his bewilderment there was no answer. Additional calls to his bride-to-be also went unanswered which was totally out of character for Cynthia. Worried, he left his parentβs home and drove the 45 minutes back to Beckley as quickly as he could, stopping a few times a

Mostly trading pokemon the whole way through with a really long standoff between her recovering tanky Milotic and my Charged Luxray in the middle. Then her Lucario wrecks most of my remaining team and it's down to my Togekiss and her Garchomp.
I was so emotionally invested in this battle, it had lasted probably 30 minutes and had had its high points and low points. And all I had left was a togekiss that I had raised for this specific moment, to deal with garchomp. I didn't even care if I won or lost, I was actually looking forward to the rematch.
I full restore togekiss, and garchomp busts out the surprise (to me) poison jab, which 2hkos togekiss. Gg wp, see you on my next try. .
But wait, togekiss doesn't want me to be sad, so he toughs it out. TWICE in a row on poison jabs that should have easily KO'd him. This togekiss only barely has the friendship level needed to level up from a togepi and is resisting the most powerful main game enemy because of love. Is this Harry Potter?
I'm champion. Hooray. Go me, I guess. Time to feed all of my pokemon energy roots so I never get bailed out by love again.
Edit: This blew up more than I was expecting given all the other complaints about friendship. I'm well aware that there are plenty of ways to make the game more difficult for me of which I didn't take advantage. I'm not in to nuzlocke runs and yes I use full restores when my team is evenly leveled and the opponent is using full restores. This isn't even a big deal because I can go back and take on the E4 again pretending I didn't win. I just wanted to vent my letdown of being gifted the W because the rest of that battle was the most fun I've had in a pokemon game in a long time.
Go now and play the game in whatever way seems best to you.
In June 1989, the quiet Vancouver, British Columbia, suburb of Richmond was shocked when a body was found lying in the yard of an abandoned house. The victim was a forty-four-year-old nurse named Cindy James. She had been drugged and strangled, and her hands and feet had been tied behind her back. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police believed that her death was either an accident or suicide (not sure why they considered suicide as a factor with her hands tied, but whatever).
Cindy had graduated from nursing school in 1966. She later became the administrator for a pre-school for children with behavioral and emotional issues. She was married but did not have any children of her own. In July 1982, she and her husband separated. Four months later, she began receiving mysterious and sometimes threatening phone calls. During the next seven years, she reported nearly a hundred incidents of harassment. Five were violent physical attacks while others were whispering to silent phone calls. This got worse after she involved the police. At night, she heard prowlers. Her porch lights were smashed and her phone lines severed.
According to her friend, Agnes Woodcock, she said bizarre notes began to appear on her doorstep. Someone was trying to scare her to death. She became reluctant and frightened to give details. Over time, the police began to doubt her stories.
One night in January 1983, Agnes dropped by Cindy's house for a visit and knocked on the door. There was no answer, so she assumed she was taking her bath. As she investigated, she came across her outside, crouched down with a nylon stocking tied tightly around her neck. She'd gone out to the garage to get a box and someone had grabbed her from behind. All she saw were white sneakers. Cindy moved to a new house, painted her car, and changed her last name. She also hired a private investigator, Ozzie Kaban.
The police continued their investigation and questioned her several times. Ozzie later reported that she wouldn't tell them the entire story. She would be evasive, would withhold information, and simply would not act as a normal victim would act. When the police gave her a polygraph, the examiner claimed that she was withholding information. Her mother, Tillie Hack, thinks the reason for her daughter's reluctance was that her attacker had threatened her sister and family. By naming him, her family would be killed.
On the night of January 30, 1984, Ozzie Kaban heard strange sounds coming over a two-way rad

This book appears to be a larger book in a series, but I don't think I need worry about spoilers. As far as I can tell the book is a stand alone mystery with no connection to anything before or after.
As far as I can determine Jessica Fletcher is the fictional author both on the front page and featured in the book. It seems Donald Bain is the real author. The book is very meta assuming you are reading a first person account of Jessica's experience with the murder. This not being meta enough, apparently, they include questions from the authors panel in the book in such a fashion that they are clearly directed at the listener.
The tale begins with mystery authors invited to a mystery weekend where participants attempt to solve a mystery put on by a theatre company. Inevitably one of the actors is really killed and a true mystery ensues. Unsurprisingly Jessica has her finger on the pulse of the mystery and will guide the reader through it.
This story can be best described by the term "formulaic." This is unerringly unoriginal to the point of tedium. The only thing unusual about the book is the sheer variety of backgrounds the participants have, which stretched credulity to the breaking point.
I would normally review the narrator at this point. I say normally because I can't tell if Cynthia Darlow is the best or worst narrator ever. If she chose to do this sheer variety of accent's, sex, age, ethnicity, and other eccentric backgrounds on her own then she may be among the worst narrators. If, however, due to the sheer variety of characters as well as the direction she was given she did this, then she is a mad genius. Whatever else her narration did, it kept me awake despite the bland novel.
Conclusion: This mystery is formulaic and trite. I won't say it's bad. I cannot, however, say it's good. If you can get it on sale pick it up, otherwise I would suggest finding better fare.
watching season 5 and finding cynthia to be an absolute joy to watch. with her successful business and marriage finally going smoothly, she filled the hole left by sheree and subsequently kim.
you could just tell how comfortable she was in herself and wasnβt afraid to go toe to toe with someone like kenya. she really held her own! and was able to thrive in the absence in nene too. she showed she was able to forge her own relationships. i loved her friendship with porsha, seeing cynthia be in such a stable place in her life and act as a bit of a mentor towards her was satisfying. this natural progression of her character was definitely one of the highlights of the entire season.
what do you all think?
Just watched a livestream of a dude fighting Cynthia - her AI remains amazing
Some notable changes:
Not sure about whatβs Garchompβs held item (all of them have one), and nothing special about Lucario or Roserade but they both hit pretty hard too, I believe Lucario has an Expert Belt
UPDATE: Garchompβs ability is Rough Skin (HA), not Sand Veil
