A list of puns related to "Mr. Irrelevant"
Aside from kicker and defense who's the last skill player you're drafting?
One of my leagues has NINE bench spots (19 rounds) and around round 15 I start to completely lose interest in guys, or even not recognize names.
So who are your late LATE round dart throws and why should I take them with the last 4-5 spots of my draft?
Edit: 12 teams, 2 flex spots, 9 bench spots and an IR
For those that donβt know, a Mr. Irrelevant is a player that was picked at the very last spot in the draft. Like many 7th rounders and undrafted free agents, theyβre usually not considered likely to last long in the NFL
I excluded kickers and punters because the top prospects on those positions are almost always drafted in later rounds, so theyβre basically the exception to what I said above.
All other Mr. Irrelevants count.
Paul Salata used to come to USC events wearing his letterman jacket in the 90s. Very friendly guy. His niece went to USC. Sorry about hear about this on the broadcast today.
Bill Simmons commenting on cancel culture
Is Danβs bit about cancel culture getting rid of the term Mr. Irrelevant making him would a little bit like a Bill Simmons? I donβt think the term is going to be changed, but also donβt know why he is so tuned in on it.
Has anyone actually stuck around long enough to make it through the rookie contract to be resigned?
Hello again.
The past couple of years, I've had a mini contest to see if anyone can guess the correct Mr. Irrelevant right. The prize used to be Reddit Gold, but this year, the prize is a flair for the NFL Draft Discord and possibly this sub too. There will be a Google Form here to fill out. Only your most recent guess on the form will be counted, so if your answer changes, just re-submit. This is just to stop someone from spamming names to get the flair.
The poll will close as soon as the draft starts, so you have about 24 hours to get your guess in.
Your guess will not be counted if it's put in the comments, fill out the form.
Just a heads up, the Buccaneers currently hold this pick, but that pick could always be traded.
Good luck.

edit: This is not a salty post. I think the tension between what people claim is valuable and isn't valuable is, in this instance, more about what benefits them than any actual analysis of that value proposition. I present it a bit dramatically because that's just how my brain works.
Anyone with an MR over n doesn't have any more skill or knowledge than I do. MR is really just a symbol of how willing someone is to grind- sitting in Helene/Hydron/SO for hours upon hours probably just hitting one button doesn't exactly teach anything about the game. Anyone can do it if they're willing to and not learn anything. MR is just a way for people who need to see numbers go up get their little dopamine reward. Getting a weapon or frame to 30 and never playing it again doesn't exactly make anyone good or even necessarily competent.
Anyone with an MR under n doesn't have the knowledge that I have. MR represents experience with the game. Someone who has taken the time to play with many different weapons and frames, like me, knows more about the interrelations, the synergies, inherent in Warframe- this makes people with lower MR less able to integrate all the different aspects into a cohesive whole. People with lower MR than me probably won't be able to pick from such a large variety of tools to achieve the best results in different circumstances- even if they had the number of options that I do, they just don't have the instinctual sense that I've built up by achieving MR n.
Different game systems should be gated behind MR as long as it's lower than n, but it's ridiculous to gate anything behind MR higher than n.
Just reading up on the first kicker we have had since Bryant that can actually kick under pressure. He was the last pick of the 2009 draft, Mr irrelevant picked by guess who... The KC Chiefs just a little tidbit but bet he really enjoyed the win. Also, is he one of the more successful Mr irrelevants?
Mr. Irrelevant in the NFL Draft is the very last pick. He's a guy unlikely to have any real impact on the field.
Unlike in Fantasy. Your last pick in the draft, if things go well, can actually be a game changer for you. That guy who was wildly undervalued that ended up making a huge difference for his team and for yours.
I want to know who your Mr. Irrelevant is. Who is your last pick? The guy taking up that final spot on your bench that you're just hoping is going to pan out?
Finishing 7th in each region means the don't get relegated, play in promotion tournament, or go to regionals. Nothing happens to them. They are now irrelevant until next season. Its quite the prestigious award.
Edit to promote discussion: Do they need roster changes? Or to stick together?
I am honestly saddened by it because me robot is one of those rare TV shows that has gotten better season after season, yet I genuinely didn't know that season 4 was even airing until recently. What are your guys thoughts on it's declining viewership , how does breaking bad succeed while Mr robot fails?
