A list of puns related to "Moselle"
Now that Moselle is no longer occupied by Alex, Maggie and their sons. What do you think will happen to the property and their house? I can’t imagine anyone would be interested in purchasing a property that was the scene of those horrific murders.
Being that the property is kinda in the middle of nowhere, I would imagine that if it is ever sold it would attract a certain kind of buyer, one that is wealthy, perhaps into hunting or farming and someone who could look past the history of the home and property. I personally would be spooked out to live out there, the cover of darkness on that sprawling estate would send chills down my spine Every. Single. Night. But, who knows? Homes and properties with dark histories have been sold before, so perhaps one day this one will too. I’m just curious about what my fellow “Redditor’s” think will happen to the property?
Fathers assets went into a trust receivership cant see: protected. Maggie pretty much left Moselle and that was it. No life insurance for PM or MM.
It's just a total curiosity because it has always seemed that abandoned properties fall into disrepair so much more quickly than it seems they ought to. It's almost as if the spirit has vacated them and the roofs start sagging, etc. I know that's not logical but it sure seems like if from the ones I pass by.
At one point, regarding the receiver, there was mention of a need to pay utilities, etc., I assumed for Moselle.
Is the caretaker still employed by the family to look after Moselle? Is Buster staying there or has he moved on? I am afraid because with these judgments and potential judgments I don't think Randy would have an interest in insuring its upkeep.
Are there any pictures of the interior of the house? Not necessarily from that night, but in general? Family pics, real estate listings, etc?
For everyone who is trying to follow along on the Moselle property transactions, I've tried to put together something that provides answers to some common questions. Thanks to u/wanda_wandering for help in clarifying certain things. Any errors are mine, and I hope you will help correct. This is my first post - hopefully the graphic will come out as expected. [It did not, scroll down to see.] Apologies for the length - it's complicated.
Columns include tract names as referenced in deeds, parcel numbers, county, whether the parcel was included as collateral for the mortgages taken out by AM on the property, acreage, date of acquisition and price paid by AM as supported by documents, date acquired by Boulwares and their acquisition cost, and the assessed value per the county.
Letters are explained below:
A - Members of the Boulware family acquire various parcels over a number of years.
A1 - A home is constructed that is now appraised at approximately $500K, so we assume that this is close to the cost. (This is the Moselle house.)
B - Properties referenced here are acquired by AM on 4/15/13 in three transactions: 1) $499,646, presumably in cash, 2) $730,000 in a tax-free exchange (1031) - have not been able to identify any actual exchanged property from AM, and 3) $70,000 for one parcel, also presumably in cash. These total to $1,299,646.
C - Also on 4/15/13, Palmetto State Bank makes a loan to AM in the amount of $1,311,865 secured by the properties referenced in B, due on 1/15/18.
D - On 5/1/13, a deed is recorded to memorialize a purported debt from BTB to AM in the amount of $970,354. Basically, the document says that BTB already owed AM that much, and they have now recorded a mortgage. The Swamp properties are listed as collateral. The loan is due 12/31/13. On 9/23/14, a "deed in lieu of foreclosure" is recorded, turning these properties over to AM. That document appears to specifically state that the BTB-AM mortgage is still outstanding. (Attorneys out there, please correct or clarify.)
E - On 2/9/15, PSB lends more money to AM secured by the same properties, for an amount of at least $500K and up to $1 million, due on 1/15/20. Have not been able to find any document showing satisfaction of either PSB mortgage, which implies they are both outstanding and both late. (Or that the property records are incomplete.)
Later activity on these properties include AM signing over the deeds to MM in 2016, and Buster releasing the mortgage due from JMB to

What is going on here???
First off, PMPED, Justice Securers, Slayer of Dragons, First of Their Name, etc. appears to have taken out about $4M from PSB back in their heyday to pay for "The House that CSX Built." (See the second two screenshots. [Edited to include imgur links. There were loans of $1,725,030 in 2004 and $2,125,020 in 2005 from PSB to PMPED on the Hampton property.] They were supposed to be so rich from their fabulous victories. It takes a while to get the cash from your settlements, so okay...
The thing that I am really not following is why the intrepid financiers over at PSB then assigned the $2M mortgage to Richard Alexander Murdaugh (first screenshot). Attorneys and bankers out there, is there a reason for this? It looks to me that they handed over a note receivable for $2M (maybe less if being paid down) to one guy - not all the guys - the one guy we are now all focused on. Why??? Is this nothing? If not, what does it mean?
The recording date of 1/13/13 was almost exactly three months before the Moselle purchase on 4/15/13, in which AM took out debt of $1.3M. Something happened on 1/13/13 to have PSB record both mortgages as satisfied. I would have assumed they were just repaid, but for the weird assignment to AM.
I don't want to go out on a limb here, but it kind of looks like PSB was trying to get this loan off its books. But to get it off, it would have to get another asset on - cash, property, another financial instrument. What's the non-squirrelly explanation for this?
My squirrelly thought is that this has something to do with the Moselle purchase. All in, AM "paid" $2,270,000 for that deal, and the only cash involved came from PSB. For whatever reason, it always seems to be about $2M.

... keep reading on reddit ➡It is dusk at Moselle.
Papa Murdaugh is 72 hours away from ending the 100-year dynasty he maintained in the crossroads of law&order and southern politics.
And speaking of crossroads, you are in the middle of nowhere on a sprawling rural swampland estate where what happens here, stays here.
And speaking of 72 hours, that's also when your current life comes crashing down with the release of all your incriminating financials.
You are Alex Murdaugh. And you are with your wife and son.
It is getting darker. Your mind is racing. Your wife and son are becoming increasing alarmed with the situation. The hours are ticking down. 72 hours. Now 71.
The dogs are barking at the hunting lodge. Stop barking, dogs. The stress...it's too much...hazy from the booze. Paul tells you you're screwed. He says it'll all come crashing down when grandpa's gone.
Paul knows too much. A realization hits: "He CAUSED this deadline. He can END this deadline". You grab the gun from the ATV and in that split second you're not Alex, you are a scared, sweaty animal in the twilight. Two trigger pulls and its over. You're Alex again.
What's that? She's screaming. Why is she screaming? Oh.
You become that animal again. She's out of shotgun range and running. You grab a rifle and aim and shoot. She's down. Did you get her? Better check.
You're Alex again. And your wife and child have been shot badly. You call 911. And then a few of your...closest friends.
It is now dark at Moselle.
On tonight's Crime Stories with Nancy Grace, she speculated that the bodies of Paul & Maggie were "dumped" at the family's property in Moselle — and that the murders were carried out elsewhere.
She didn't, couldn't or wouldn't source her information.
Perhaps I missed something that she didn't?

He'll face Pospisil in the second round
Anybody know what’s the deal with the person who was apparently also at Moselle that night in June and whose name is redacted on the crime report? If there was such a person, LE & news has done a good job keeping this person out of the public view, imho. Why? If there was a person who found the bodies before Alex, why didn’t they call 911? Any insight out there?
