A list of puns related to "AlsaceβLorraine"
Hello Legends!
Here is your monthly update on the Champions Series hosted over on wowsbuilds.com
If you're unfamiliar, each month we select two ships and challenge the community to put up the best numbers they can. We'll challenge you do put up the highest damage in one ship, and get the highest base XPΒ in the other. Anyone can enter - and we only use tech tree ships so everyone can participate for free. Prizes for each contest include Doubloons, Credits, and even Premium Ships.
For November, we had the first Tier VII ships featured in the competition. Although there was some moaning about me making you play Tier VII Battleships the month after Weimar was released (muahahah), we had some excellent games put up in the VII Iowa and VII Bismarck.
Here's how the final standings shook out:

Following the Franco-Prussian war whatββββββββββββΒif a Kingdom of Alsace-Lorraine was created as buffer position between France and Germany
This is the situation Iβm in right now, the Entente came in through Belgium and smashed the CoF, leaving me as Russia to finish mopping up the Reichspakt. Not too well-versed in Savinkovβs ideology, but Iβm assuming as a nationalist he would consider it to be a German territory; on the other hand, ceding it to a democratic France might be a sign of good faith to his new neighbours (note that the Halifax Conference failed, so they havenβt renounced their claim). On a related note, would he be more likely to Balkanize Germany or keep its core territory together?
I recently learned that if the civil war in Germany drags on until the 65th, it will go into the stage of anarchy, at the same time I heard that when this happens, Heydrich is killed, and his territories are again controlled by Burgundy, a little later I found out that this only applies to Alsace-Lorraine. I looked through all the photographs of German anarchy, and none of them showed Alsace-Lorraine near Burgundy. Hence the logical question: can burgundy do that and is it true?
It's my 2nd try playing Nat France, and I'm went after the commune when the 2nd Weltkrieg kicked off. A while into the war the Halifax Conference pops up, with the first subject being renouncing the claims on Alsace-Lorraine. The negotiations collapses and everyone goes home if you decline(which I did), but what happens if you accept? Do you get any advantage in the Lyon Conference? I noticed you barely get any more land in it if you don't own Brittany.
As many know, the base game (and every mod I have played as of yet) requires the French state of Alsace-Lorraine to be owned in order to form Germany. This is absolute nonsense, even Bismarck himself didn't want to annex the region due to his fears of making France a permanent enemy.
He was only pushed to do so by the German nationalists, militarists and industrialists who had considerable interests in the region. The nationalists because the region did primarily speak German, the militarists because it gave Germany a better defendable border against France and lastly the industrialists because the region is rich in natural resources. (This could be a nice implementation of the interest groups mechanic, where the player who is about to form Germany gets an event upon defeating France, "Interest groups in Germany demand annexation of Alsace-Lorraine" or something like that, where the player is able to give in, and take badboy and (permanent) negative relations with the French, or refuse and gain internal instability but no (immediate) permanent rivalry with the French.
Furthermore, IRL the German Empire was declared in the Hall of Mirrors in Versailles on the 18th of January 1871, Alsace-Lorraine wasn't annexed until the treaty of Frankfurt of May 1871.
IMO in Vic3 it shouldn't be a requirement to own Alsace-Lorraine if one wants to form Germany for historical reasons.

I donβt know man
After the Franco-Prussian war, the Imperial Territory of Alsace-Lorraine was annexed into the German Empire as a new federal territory, legally separate from all the others.
My question is, why wasn't it annexed directly into the Kingdom of Prussia as a province?
