A list of puns related to "Monolith (Sylosis album)"
Sylosis is streaming there new album Monolith on metalsucks.net for a limited time. It's due out worldwide October 9th preorder your copy and support our metal brothers! \m/
How would you rank all of the Sylosis albums? My personal list would be:
Hear me out. The albums you can listen to in any order but if you listen to it in this order.
Dormant Heart
Monolith
Cycle of suffering
Conclusion on an Age
Edge of the Earth
Dormant Heart is the start of the this cult that thinks it can save the earth from a propehcy of destruction. Brain washing people with fear to join them as zealots.
Monolith takes on from Dormant. A rise of prophets appear just as the monolith did from the ground. The prophets sacrifice the people to postpone the apocalypse
Cycle of Suffering comes in as people have no more faith in the prophets and these endless deaths meant nothing as the ending of the world has begun.
Conclusion of an Age is obviously about the end of the world and catastrophy of mankind.
Edge of the Earth is about a survivor wondering the rebirth earthed and trying to find the meaning to life.
Honestly my vote goes to Conclusion, but EotE is a verrrrrrrry close second. What do you guys think?
I'm done transcribing the first album for Sylosis (except for the 2 bonus tracks). Here is a link to download the guitar pro files: https://easyupload.io/m/3y79mr (They are also all on Ultimate-Guitar, uploaded with my user mdeth91.)
I'm very confident that r/eltontabs won't have to change a think except for maybe some positions, but that's it.
Enjoy!
EDIT: I forgot to mention I updated Reflections Through Fire and Last Remaining Light after creating the downloads..Just uploaded them to UG, so should be good on there.
After 5 years (and joining up with Architects), Josh Middleton is back with the band that he started and with a new Sylosis album to boot to.
01.Β Empty Prophets // 02.Β I Sever // 03.Β Cycle Of Suffering // 04.Β Shield // 05.Β Calcified // 06.Β Invidia // 07.Β Idle Hands // 08.Β Apex Of Disdain // 09.Β Arms Like A Noose // 10.Β Devils In Their Eyes // 11.Β Disintegrate // 12.Β Abandon
I still feel Sylosis releases the superior album BUT Fracture is a ton of fun and has amazing breakdowns.
Everything about this album is perfect. From the rhythm of the riffs to the borderline black metal vocals in places, I can't fault it in any way. A lot of people I know say it's the weakest Sylosis album (possibly because it's the only one with Jamie Graham on vocals), but I honestly prefer this to any other death metal album out there, including Sylosis' newer Dormant Heart (Still an incredible album, but nowhere near on par with Conclusion of an Age). The way it fuses so many genres together, from death metal to thrash, metalcore, and black metal.
Someone change my view on this, I need to be proven wrong (For the better, in fact - If there's anything better than this out there I'd love to hear it).
