My fatherβs last text to me was Molly Hatchet Flirting with Disaster. Well if anyone is fans of Molly Hatchet please share your favorites or stories
Also feel free to share any songs your parents passed on to you
I think itβs somewhat of a lesser known rock band that the younger generation hasnβt heard but are pretty good even by todayβs standards and getting into that southern rock music scene experience
Any advice? Gear recommendations?
Molly Hatchet - Flirtin' with Disaster (Bass Cover)
Molly Hatchet was founded by guitarist Dave Hlubek in 1971. The band originated and was based in Jacksonville,
Florida and shared influences and inspiration with what is perhaps the most well-known act in the Southern rock genre, Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Molly Hatchet took its name from a prostitute who allegedly mutilated and decapitated her clients.
One iconic aspect of Molly Hatchet's image is that many of the band's album covers feature art inspired by heroic fantasy,
several of which were painted by artists such as Frank Frazetta, Boris Vallejo, and Paul R. Gregory.
The song is Molly Hatchet's most famous, and has appeared in the films Suspect Zero, The Dukes of Hazzard, Straw Dogs,
and Artie Lange's Beer League, and the video games NASCAR 98 and Rock Band.[3] It has also appeared in My Name Is Earl,
Supernatural and King of the Hill. The song is also alluded to in the title of a Season 2 episode of Danny Phantom.
