A list of puns related to "Mirage Men"
It's a well done documentary that highlights past disinformation campaigns so we might be more aware of them in the future. This should probably be required watching around here, I was surprised it wasn't already on the list.
You can watch it for free with ads on "The Roku Channel" app if you have a roku TV. It's a few bucks elsewhere.
Richard Doty, a special agent for the U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations, would push disinformation using the online persona "Request Anonymous". He tricked many in the UFO community into believing that the deep state was in communication with aliens from the planet "Serpo". I see this as similar to QAnon which also adds the Satanic Panic aspect.
As Iβm watching the documentary Mirage Men, I found some very incredible similarities with whatβs happening currently:
All in all, the takeaway is that the government probably shouldnβt be used as a source of information. If you havenβt watched that documentary yet, I highly recommend it. History repeats itself, and we seem to be in one of those repeats. Letβs all pay attention and be careful about the fact that this βdisclosureβ could be the perfect simple to hide something bigger, UFO-related or not. Itβs super easy to stop thinking about something else with such a fascinating subject.
Our own community is very paradoxical, in the sense that we mostly believe that the government has been lying to us for decades now, yet expect a disclosure from that same government, or from people saying they have sources from that same government. Itβs almost hilarious really.
And say all this as a believer. The only reason Iβd pay attention to Sam Harris and Lue are their mention and link between UFO and consciousness. The whole UFO phenomenon to me is a lot more than just flying metallic plates, it seems interconnected with our day to day and history in ways we might be missing if we are not careful. It might sound coo-coo (and thatβs fine), but looking and expecting the truth from outside might be our own demise. The truth might be within, consciousness.
My 2 cents.
I watched the documentary Mirage Men last night. I think I understood the point the film was making, which was that the Government deliberately fed particularly nutty UFO researchers a bunch of BS to obscure the issue and make UFO people look crazy. The reason they were doing this was to keep their own tech mysterious, but also to muddy the waters on the UFO issue so that no one would know what was real and what was just bs.
So, is the conclusion of the film saying that a bunch of the UFO stuff is real, but a lot of it is deliberate misinformation too? Would appreciate some informed thoughts, wasnβt sure if I was grasping all of what they were showing.

One of the absolute best documentarys covering the topic. I was trying to find a link online for the extra footage but I have not been able to find it. I was curious if anyone actually has the DVD and is the extra footage worth it? I have already purchased the digital version right after it came out. Thanks ahead of time for any feedback.
Here is a link to it for anyone else who is interested.

This is a special, extended 2-disc version including the full length feature, 8-page booklet with essays by the filmmakers on βThe Genesis of Mirage Menβ, βTricksters, Saucers and Cyber Magiciansβ, βThe Enigma of Richard Dotyβ and βThe Unreliable Narratorβ, and over an hour of previously unseen additional material, comprising of 22 short films giving background history, extra interviews and an exclusive Urthona music video.
I finally watched the documentary Mirage Men. I won't spoil it or even give the premise for those who haven't seen it.
But what strikes me as relevant to Q, is how anytime you explain that UFOs or Q is fake, and indeed may be a psyop against those believers, that serves as more proof of "it" (whatever IT is) is indeed real. I wonder if there is a UFO to Q pipeline, or its just a different theme (Q vs UFOs) but the same mechanism is at play.
If you haven't seen Mirage Men, you can do so for free here https://primeflix.website/mirage-men
And the Mexican History Channel has done a docu on the UFOs of Los Alamos, which includes a part about the alleged 1945 San Antonio incident, described by Paola Harris and Jacques Vallee in their new book "Trinity". The Spanish language docu can be watched here https://youtu.be/4JgIV8rwzxA
So the military counter intelligence officer who was the subject of the documentary "Mirage Men", Richard Doty, was on Discovery last week disclosing both an extraterrestrial power source and that Skinny Bob is legitimate. Check it out

Probably one of the most fucked up docs Iβve seen. Beyond the Air Force driving an innocent man insane, they have for years wages a dis information campaign against UFO enthusiasts and some journalist. Itβs honestly fascinating.
Plus if youβre into any UFO shit its a must watch like βI know what i sawβ
I've never seen it before, maybe you guys haven't either: https://youtu.be/srtrRbt77AE
Just thought I'd share.
I read Mirage Men a few months ago, is the documentary worth checking at as well? Does it cover anything different or is it the same information just in video form? I just didn't want to waste 1.5hrs if there was nothing new in it.

How the US government created a myth that took over the world. ET visitors... crashed UFOs... back-engineered alien technology... the government cover-up of a secret that would change the world as we know it... These are the core elements of the modern UFO mythology, a story that has captivated farmers, princes and generals for generations, and shows no sign of loosening its grip on the popular imagination. But what if, instead of covering up the UFO story, elements in the US military had actively encouraged it as part of their Cold War counterintelligence arsenal - manufacturing the myth of the UFO as a powerful weapon of mass deception and the perfect cover for all manner of clandestine technologies and operations. Now, for the first time, some of those whose actions have directly shaped the UFO mythology, and some of their victims, tell their stories, revealing a surreal disturbing and sometimes tragic sequence of events that is part Manchurian Candidate and part Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Mirage Men draws viewers into a saucer-shaped hall of mirrors, a shadow-world where every lie contains elements of the truth, and the truth is far stranger than the UFO believers, or their detractors, would have you believe.
Highly recommended.
I saw it when it first came out and enjoyed it. Though to be honest, I found it a little hard to follow at times (probably thanks to my heroic intake of cocktails that night). It covers a lot of ground so being familiar with some of the events and people in and around ufology is a great help.
Why I like it - It doesn't answer any questions. It doesn't posit any hypotheses. It really even isn't about greys or Area 51 or cattle mutilations or Majestic-12 or whatever. It simply shows how ufology ended up being such a mindf*ck.
I was a bit busy with some home renovations this week, but I still wanted to jot down a few quick thoughts about a mutant who has been consistently one of the best-performing characters of her generation. Danielle Moonstar, aka Mirage, is a hard character not to like. She tries hard at everything she does, she cares about her friends and she goes on magical adventures in other dimensions. So with no further ado, here's a few quick points about Dani.
I frequently start these posts by talking about the powers of the mutant involved, but in Dani's case, her powers are probably the least important part of her skillset. Dani's power was the ability to create illusions whose effectiveness was pulled from the minds of the beholders. Originally, she could show you your greatest fear, but eventually she diversified her power and could show people their heart's desires, or even convincing deceptions. It was an interesting little psychic trick. She could also deploy her power as a kind of energy spear or arrow that could stun people, a bit like Psylocke's psychic knife. Later, she after a near-brush with a de-powering machine, she gained the ability to make her illusions real. However, Dani didn't really lean too heavily on her power. It's interesting that while her codenames were Psyche and Mirage, almost nobody thinks of her in those terms. For almost everyone, she's 'Moonstar'. It was always more about her smarts, skills and ability to motivate others that were her real source of power. In that respect, Dani is probably more like Storm than any other X-Man. Like Ororo, Dani has had some brushes with losing her powers, both mutant and mystical. She was one of the more prominent mutants to lose her abilities on M-Day, and perhaps one of the better choices. Even without her powers, Dani is formidable.
The Asgard Adventure was a huge experience for the New Mutants, and out of all of them, Dani was the most profoundly affected. When the New Mutants were scattered across the Nine Realms, Dani found herself near a pegasus, who she helped escape a snare set by evil creatures and befriended. She also met a group of women who had pegasi of their own. What she didn't realize is that those women were Valkyries, the legendary Norse warrior angels, and that by being chose by her winged horse Brightwind she was effectively being inducted into their ranks. Dani's relationship with her status as a Valkyrie has been fraught over the years. Soemtime
