A list of puns related to "Michael McKean"
Would be surprised, though not shocked, if they don't have a flashback scene of Jimmy & Chuck in S6.
I just watched Season six episodes 4 & 5
(Honing Chuck attitude early! F-Him! ;)
Bryan Cranston eps. Was cool as well!
On repeated viewings, something I'm finding myself notice more than my first viewing is Michael McKean's portrayal of Chuck. He plays smug high status so well. I pay attention to the way he says things and his facial expressions so much now. He has a way of talking in an eloquent, precise, and distant manner. And at times it's kind of sing-song. Like when he says "the price of excellence is eternal vigilance" I can feel how much he enjoys the act of saying it. He's more interested in saying something that satisfies himself than he does communicating the meaning of something to another person.
This is a really good contrast to how Bob plays low status as Jimmy. When Jimmy is walking around HHM, he's being a lot more expressive in his movements than everyone else, and it makes him stick out. The word I use to describe Jimmy's walking is floppy. But when Chuck walks, it's with very little expressiveness. His arms are usually down, and his noise is slightly pointed up. Every movement is deliberate. Also, the way Chuck looks around with his eyes without moving his head gives off a feeling that he can't be bothered to turn towards someone completely.
I just realized Michael McKean hosted in 1984, ten years before joining the cast in the 94-95 season. Does anyone else share the distinction of hosting before they became a cast member?
Michael McKean is my name. A native NYer, I still live here part time, elsewise in LA. I act, write, sing, laugh; I dig old movies, music of every vintage and variety. You?

How did Michael McKean host in 1984 and then become a cast member in 1994-95? Was he at a low point in his career? I know they had all star casts in the 80s but I donβt know of anyone else hosting before they were a cast member.
I thought I recognised him - what a great performance! https://i.imgur.com/RHVqA4W.png
