A list of puns related to "Mentor (Odyssey)"
As part of a set of Community Initiatives, we like to give opportunities to the community to give more direct feedback, and host weekly discussion on specific topics that relate the Assassin's Creed Franchise. These community discussions take place here, the Official Ubisoft Forums, and on twitter. Each discussions will be open for 1 week. The threads and responses will be shared directly with the Assassin's Creed Community Development team, who will then pass that info on to concerned parties within Ubisoft itself.
While the Mentors get opportunities to speak directly with the creators of Assassin’s Creed and frequently communicate with the Community Development Team, this is not the case for every fan. We want to change that. We want fans to have their voices heard directly, in the same ways the Mentors do. These activities are a step towards meeting this goal. If you want Ubisoft to see what you have to say, this is the place to do it. These discussions are meant to allow for honest and raw feedback directly from the community. The best way to ensure your voice is heard is to be constructive - be critical of the process, not the people. Be specific with your criticisms and suggest tangible solutions and improvements. We hope you participate and we hope this is a successful way of getting the fan’s voices truly heard.

I have recently found an interest in this game again when I finally got a PC that can handle it in VR.
I havn't played since horizons was new, and then I only played for a few days.
I need someone to teach me the game again, or more specifically.. How to do the core mining to make some $$$. Exploration and mining is what I like, combat is meh.
I just purchased Odyssey just now aswell, and I have a Asp Explorer as ship.
So, anyone wanna be my spacebuddy?
Daniel is soft-spoken and is a great mentor to the students. He also confronts tough situations in an honourable way. It seems like Mr. Miyagi has taught Daniel well.

quest is complete, i have peacekeeper level 4, there is no m61. even though the quest states it unlocks the ability to purchase it at peacekeeper level 4.
this is (basically) a dead end quest for most players. and almost everyone i know only does this quest for the m61 since the xp isn't that significant. so friendly warning for people out there, if you want to spend millions of rubles on euros to complete mentor and then complete wet job part 6 for m61, don't. since you don't get it lol.
oh and i have restarted my game multiple times since i completed this quest.
edit: according to this user and their support request, it is not intended
I left America 13 years ago during the 2008 financial crisis. I have never regretted it and have helped multiple people leave the states. It used to be impossible to convince most people but it is becoming much easier as America declines further.
I have been a nomad for 13 years. Met another America and traveled together for the last 4. We got married in Denmark in October and now we are settling in the Netherlands. I took 73 countries to find my home abroad and if anyone has any questions I would be more than happy to help shed light on a lot of things. I have lived on every continent except Antarctica.

(This MITA post is from April 2020. At the time, SGIWhistleblowers were not allowing their dearth of understanding to deter them from commenting on SGI mentors. Since of course they are still doing that, I thought it might be useful to re-post. There will be a follow-up post with an updated observation)
April 2020: "Whistleblowers" has no idea what "mentor" means
📷
March 31st, “Whistleblowers” administrator Blanche Fromage analyzed a 2009 World Tribune story, relating a message from President Ikeda to the leaders of SGI-USA. Leaving aside her many logical fallacies, untruths, and contradictions (e.g., she alleges that the message indicates President Ikeda always wants all the credit for everything, and won’t share it with others, and in the next paragraph she quotes him saying “Thanks to your noble, tireless efforts in blazing an unexplored, virgin trail for worldwide kosen-rufu…”), lets look at the underlying premise, as it’s a common one on the “Whistleblowers” sub.
That is, according to “Whistleblowers”, that the Mentor-Disciple relationship espoused on the SGI is either a money making scheme for President Ikeda, or an indication that the SGI is a cult, mindlessly following a leader most members have never met.
Because Mr. Ikeda mentions “many great castles of the Law”, “Whistleblowers” concludes that “The whole point (of the SGI’s global efforts) was to amass an impressive portfolio of real estate investments…”
In reality, “castle” is frequently used in SGI circles to represent one’s core, foundation, inner strength. In “The Heritage of the Ultimate Law”, Nichiren uses “castle” as a metaphor for one’s personal fortune and development. And, President Ikeda uses it the same way. For example, the 8/26/17 To My Friends: “Let’s develop our districts into the world’s greatest castle of capable individuals and castle of hope!” In a 2017 message to SGI-USA leaders: “With the youth in the forefront, please continue forging a strong and unshakable castle of capable people that the entire world will look up to and admire,”
So, sure, sometimes “castle” means a building. But, more often, it is used to encourage us to build a firm foundation for our lives. It has nothing to do with accumulating property.
So, is Mentor-Disciple the mark of a “cult”? Is it geared to nothing but the enrichment and glorification of the mentor?
In the West, a “disciple” is often one who (generally) merely follows, adopts the “leaders” teaching and propagates it;

This happened seven years ago (long before I knew her). My girlfriend was 33 and single (and very attractive), he was 61 (and a grandfather). He is very well known in their industry. She couldn't stop raving about the guy throughout our 14-month relationship - about what a great guy he is and how he is her go-to for advice on everything. I even encouraged her to reach out to him on work-related matters - until she confessed that they were in a sexual relationship for two years. I feel like I have been sucker punched. She feels it's from her past and that she regrets it and is ashamed of it and that it shouldn't come between us. I am trying to make sense of her putting the guy on a pedestal and her need for the two of us to meet and get along.
Long story short, back in 2017 in my undergrad studies I had a research assistant position with my mentor at the time. He promised that we would publish a paper in a peer reviewed journal together and I spent two years writing a thesis to publish.
He ended up not publishing the paper because he said it was too outdated.
Today (4 years from when I started the paper) I get an email from the journal I subscribe to (also the journal I was supposed to be published in) and saw that he had published my paper anyway.
I skimmed over the publication and it is literally the paper I wrote with some minor edits applied. He is listed as the only author. I’m not credited at all.
Is there any action I can take against him for this? Up until this point I always held him in a high regard and this is so disappointing.
Disclaimer- I know that there have been a lot of posts these days praising Odyssey while trashing Valhalla, and I want to clarify that this isn't one of those. I haven't played Valhalla yet (I fell behind on the series and am finally catching up), and when I do I'm sure I'll have praises/criticisms of it.
Like a lot of people, when I saw the E3 demo for Odyssey, my reaction was "this isn't Assassin's Creed". Massive battles, no robes, no Hidden Blade, set way before the Assassins were established in Origins, it really felt like AC in Name Only. The criticisms that hit it from people who played it seemingly cemented this assertion.
Well, let this be a lesson to always experience something for yourself. Almost every major recurring criticism I have read about Odyssey has turned out to be severely lacking in authenticity:
Enemies are damage sponges.
-Not true. Odyssey very clearly divides damage into three categories: hunter, assassin, and warrior. If your warrior damage isn't up to par, then yeah, it'll take a while to hack down an enemy. However, stack on gear with pre-built warrior engravings (or your own engravings) and battles are like the ones in Origins.
Now, Odyssey's combat system is admittedly partly reliant on the abilities- charge up enough adrenaline, and you'll be able to deal a heavy blow. We can have an honest debate about whether this is a good system, but combine it with the the option to create multiple builds (and load them out instantaneously) and it makes the damage sponge enemy critique null and void.
You can't play stealthily/one-hit KO assassinate
I've been vegetarian for 2 years now and am really wanting to transition to vegan as I feel I've been hypocritical in my beliefs of not wanting to harm animals but still consume eggs/milk etc. I just feel very alone and isolated and it makes it difficult to not feel like I'm the crazy one sometimes or that no one else cares about this stuff like I do. I live in rural Idaho and I have never met another vegetarian let alone a vegan. There are little to no veg options and so much farming surrounds me. Feeling sad and discouraged by the massive amount of suffering and cruelty that is going on (and how I've supported it) and the massive lack of people who care.
Anyway, just looking for someone willing to maybe chat and give me ideas on how to succeed and recipes and just kind of be a support to me on my path to be vegan. Sorry if this isn't the best place to ask. Thanks in advance and much love ❤
As the title says. I am looking for a mentor, as I am sick and tired of constantly losing money. I am willing to pay, but I am willing to pay an actual mentor. No subscriptions for websites, and none of that stuff. I'm wasting money on those as well and getting nowhere. Yes, I am frustrated. Doesn't matter how much analysis I do, how much studying I do, I can't seem to get it right. I'm on a cash account on TOS, and just losing money. Tired of it.
Thanks
He was Haydn.

Few points/questions.
I was just cruising mentor Monday and looking at the posts. Almost everyone is asking for pretty high level advice (which is probably in and off itself the problem) but I noticed almost all of them are left unanswered.
It’s more about career advice which we probably can’t give, given everyone’s unique situation and lack of detail.
This poised the question. Why do we even have that weekly post? I know it’s to minimize the “how do I get rich” posts but my perception is it just seems like a post trash can when nothing is being discussed. Again, much of which are just fluff surrounding the question of how to get rich.
Do we need more strict rules around having those questions? I understand the need for this sub to not get bogged down with those type of questions daily, but should we push them somewhere else?
Also, I mentioned it a while ago but do we all need to be more clear on how most of us got here? It’s almost unrealistic to not give the impression that we hit some sort of “lottery” (please don’t take that as luck without effort) whether it was become a high earner in the few fields that pay enough, sell businesses, inherit, or a few other circumstances.
I worry we subconsciously sell a pipe dream when the likelihood of people making it fat and dedicated their lives to it isn’t what most of us did(which I posted about a while back) . The thought of some 20 something spending the next 20 years trying to become fat while missing out on a lot of life, breaks my heart. That last comment may get pushback but I want to remind everyone, people who do dedicated their lives to getting rich and doing it are the minority.
Hi guys, I know this post is totally out of the blue, but I am looking for a mentor so that I can overcome my porn and masturbation addiction. If you have stayed off porn and masturbation for at least two years and would like to be my mentor, please message me. I live in North Shore, Albany. Cheers.
I beat it in like two days when it first came out because I just couldn't put it down. Now I'm playing through a second time with my boyfriend (I'm playing as Cappy) and it's still just as fun, if not more fun this time around because we are both sharing the game and all its gimmicks together.
They really put so many little details in this game. We're going back trying to collect every single Moon and having the best time doing it.
By far the BEST Mario game yet. (I've played them all)
I see a lot of clueless and out of touch mentors who are upset at sprouts for ruining their precious roulette by trying to actually do content, so I figured I'd make a guide as to WHY these mentors should stop and what sprouts can do to avoid them.
I know this post will probably get downvoted because most of reddit is just level cap mentors who don't actually care about the sprout experience, but it's important for sprouts to know this information.
I see a lot of mentors saying that mentors are only meant to help sprouts through normal mode dungeons/trials/raids. Good news, there are separate queues for that! You can queue for leveling/trial/raid roulettes and help people trying to find parties for those! It's essentially the same as queuing for mentor roulette, but without the extreme trials!
You'll only get a reward the first time in a day, but you're not one of those mentors that only cares about the gil and mount reward, right?
There are so many ludicrous posts by mentors on reddit talking about how sprouts must use party finder, and they don't even seem to know the basic fact that free trial players can't make party finder listings. For ARR Extreme trials, basically 95% of the people who actually want to do them are free trial sprouts. If a level 80 player gets an ARR Extreme trial for Wondrous Tails, they just solo it unsynced in literally under a minute.
So you practically never see ARR Extreme Trials in PF, and all the sprouts just queue through Duty Finder. You can sit there refreshing all day and never see a party finder listing for the ARR Extreme trial you want.
If these mentors actually cared about the sprout experience and wanted sprouts to use the party finder for ARR Ex, then they'd be hosting PF listings for those Extreme Trials, but instead they just go to reddit to complain.
If you see a mentor telling you that it's "duty finder etiquette" not to use the duty finder for extremes, just know that this is a term they made up to try to convince sprouts not to ruin their easy mode mount roulette.
Extreme Mode was explicitly added by the developers to the Duty Finder where they intended it to be used. It's not rude to use a feature the developers put into the game. If anything, it's extremely ru
