A list of puns related to "Mega Man Powered Up"
Does anyone know any way I can play either of these titles on my TV?
Playing as Oil Man is a perfect way to torture yourself really. Did they not test this before releasing? Every boss takes a long ass time to beat and I can't even imagine the copy robot stage. Any tips?
EDIT: Completed all stages on all difficulties. Grind 1-UPs before Copy Robot's stage and you'll have a chance. Just go to Yellow Devil's stage, grab that 1-UP, escape, repeat until you reach 9. Also memorizing Fire Man's animations helps a lot. Good luck everyone!
I would love this idea personally, seeing how well they pulled off remaking Mega Man & Mega Man X.
Only problem would probably be getting a development team that can re-create that magic.
This is completely out of the blue, but I just want to say that Mega Man Powered Up for the PSP was not only one of the best Mega Man titles, but I would argue it's one of the best side-scrollers out there.
See, it had this chibi "super-deformed" cutesy style that, admittedly, I wasn't a huge fan of initially, but it honestly looked phenomenal in action. It was fun, vibrant, and even had a fairly robust stage-creation tool, including "themes" that weren't even in the main game.
But the real draw, for me, was that every single boss could become a Playable Character. All you had to do was defeat them using only the Mega Buster (meaning your first boss would always become playable, introducing you to the system), and in addition to having infinite energy for their respective weapon, they also had additional unique abilities, setting them apart from Mega Man, and even allowing players to access special, character-exclusive paths through the stages.
Also, because the original Mega Man was the only game to only have 6 bosses (the theory being that Rock and Roll were the other two), the Powered Up remake also included two other bosses, both of which I though were perfect additions (even though Oil Man's design was accused of racism. I didn't see it, but not dismissing the possibility it might be offensive to some).
If I were able to, I would love nothing more to see other games in the Mega Man series get similar treatment, especially in regards to playing as the Bosses you get to defeat. It's a shame that Mega Man Universe never came to fruition (even though I'd heard the physics were inconsistent and didn't "feel" right), because I'd hoped it would provide similar treatment to Mega Man 2, which many feel is the best of the franchise.
So, if anyone at Capcom happens to be reading this, I would LOVE to see Mega Man Powered Up ported to Steam or any other console, or even a full-on sequel. Especially if you could incorporate the "secret characters" planned for Mega Man Universe, such as Ryu from Street Fighter or maybe an early appearance by Bass!
Iβm an enormous classic series fan. Iβve had some fun with X and Battle Network, but I keep going back to the old games. Like many here, I love early Capcom design so naturally Iβm also quite an enthusiast for the NES Ducktales games. When Ducktales Remastered came out in 2013, I was in heaven. While some criticized the fact that the game was mostly just a prettied up re-release of the NES original, that was exactly what I loved about it. Little annoyances about the old game were fixed (uninspired old boss battles give way to some truly epic encounters, for example), the new visuals were lovely, and a brilliant 8-bit soundtrack was gorgeously given a rich, modern style.
I always wished that Mega Man could be given the same treatment. It was only by accident that I saw he had. βMega Man Powered Upβ for the PSP is brilliant in the way Ducktales Remastered is brilliant. Everything you love about the original Mega Man is all there (music, level design, etc.). But itβs all modernized in a way that makes the game even more fun. I actually believe the original Mega Man was a flawed game, with some difficulty spikes that veered from challenging (which is good) to frustrating (which is bad). With some modest changes, those frustrating sections became manageable (without being dumbed down at all). Throw in some great extra modes and a surprisingly robust level editor, and you have a truly outstanding game.
I assumed Mega Man never appeared on the PSP so I never searched for it. It was only after stumbling onto a video that I knew I had to try the game (a PSP can be had at my used game store for $40 and this game retails for less than fiveβ¦ though there are other ways to play it less expensively). So far, Iβm loving everything I see in this title. Iβm sure for the connoisseurs and serious MM players, some of the changes in inertia and speed will make them dismissive of the game. Iβm also sure that the chibi style and very Japanese audio and cut scenes wonβt appeal to all tastes. But for a lot of Mega Man fans who skipped the PSP, thereβs a wonderful game you missed. I put this right there with 9, 10, and the Legacy Collection as one of my favorite games of all time.
Hey there people. Do you somehow own a PSP? Do you, or did you have MMPU? Then boot up construction mode because its the..
MEGAMAN POWERED UP COMMMUNITY REMIX!
I want 'em all! Levels you made 12 years ago! Levels you made 5 minutes ago! Levels your cat made! All of them! Send me the Saved Data Utility File for the level, (in DMs) and I'll play it, to test quality, and if its good stuff, It'll go in the remix! But what about the quality test? Don't worry the rules are pretty light:
No levels that are just straight lines with enemies, or anything like that, those blow, and no one likes them.
Try to make you level fair! A good way to do this, is just send me the level, I'll play, and report back if theres any bullshit.
Just design a fun level!
The remix is a file that will be up for download, containing:
Does this sound cool? Well if it does, get to it! Start sendin' me that stuff right away!
Lets make something awesome!
I don't know if this is something I can post here it not but I am kinda looking to find anyone who might still be into MMPU and would love to communicate and possibly share stages with. Sometimes I see people talk about it but not getting together from what I've seen so IDK.
Would anyone like to see a Vita re-release of MMPU? Do people still like MMPU? I am legitimately curious as I've been playing it a bit recently and have been enjoying the level editor, even though it is a tad bit limited
I want to show some love for a community that is still somewhat of an active community to participate in! I want to try and get some love back into a game that deserves the love, and I feel that if we show them our support we might just another game (although very unlikely). Even if we don't get another game, just getting to interact with you all will definitely be great! So without further ado I'd like to start off by sharing my own stages, information, and rating of said stages and I'll try to update this list once a week if this post continues to generate interest!

Soul Slice 9/8/2015
SID: 55924912-002
Character: Mega Man S
Level Pack: Time Extra
Enemy Pack: Fine Pack 16
Boss: Cutman
Overall Rating: N/A
Description: This is a level that is pretty straightforward, but does hold a lot of secrets! Pay attention to your scenery, as there are hidden paths and secrets around every corner! Also this was my first attempt in designing a level without any death pits or instant death obstacles. I've tried my best to make the challenge be in the enemy placement, not in instant deaths. Lives were also not made to be a problem for this level.
Mighty Bomb Force 10/27/2013
SID: 55924912-003
Character: BombMan
Level Pack: Bomb Extra
Enemy Pack: Fine Pack 6
Boss: BombMan
Overall Rating: N/A
Description: Do you think you know Bombman and his throwing arcs? Well prove it! In this level you must traverse a (soft) puzzling experience that requires you to percisely throw Bombman's bombs in a way that can advance you to the next level! I've done my best to design the level to be ALMOST impossible to get stuck on, however if you do I apologize. I could only do so much with the limitations of this game's level editor
Exploits Actual Date of Creation 10/26/2011
SID: 55924912-004
Character: Mega Man S
Level Pack: Old Guts
Enemy Pack: Fine Pack 8
Boss: Gutsman
Overall Rating: 3.00/3.00/3.00/3.00
Description: This is just a level that I had created with the intent of taking advantadge of SOME of Mega Man Powered Up's exploits and possible block manipulation. Not all is going to be used as there weren't many, however I did try to give this level some interesting flair! I hope you all enjoy this
... keep reading on reddit β‘Mega Man Powered Up was a game released back in 2006, it was a remake of the original Mega Man game with updated graphics. I find the design of the game personally great, but the music remixes could use some work. The greatest thing about the game is that there is a Level Editor! The reason I think a sequel would be perfect right now in 2013 is because of a few reasons:
If there was a sequel, Mega Man Powered Up 2, it would be based around Mega Man 2 of course. Which is most Mega Man fan's favorite Mega Man game.
There is a level creator in the original Mega Man Powered Up. So i'm sure that there would be one in this game if they decided to make one. This would increase the lasting playability of the game, and if they wanted Capcom could charge DLC for more level editor parts.
In MMPU, you could actually be the robot masters! If they made a sequel you could be the robot masters from Mega Man 2! Now your Metal Man with infinite blades! ROCKING!
The main reason I believe the previous game did so low in sales was because no one had or wanted a PSP. Now with the PSvita being pretty big, and the 3DS would be great target platform because of the 2.5D graphics.
Each one gives you a staff with their weapon when killed.
Cut Man's staff has Cloud of Daggers
Bomb Man's staff has Delayed-Blast Fireball
Ice Man's staff has Ice Knife
Fire Man's staff has Fire Storm
Oil Man's staff has Grease
Elec Man's staff has Lightning Bolt
Time Man's staff has Time Stop, except when cast from the staff, it deals 1d12 force damage to constructs
Guts Man's staff has Earth Tremor
I have a PSTV and a PC. Can I play Powered Up on either of those systems?
For PSP. Where should i get it in UK and how much should i be willing to pay? (in Β£) It can't still be ~Β£20 can it? It's like a decade old
