A list of puns related to "Mazda3"
Due for a new car. Looking at Mazda3 Hatch and the new Civic Hatch.
Civic Hatch has more leg room in back and a lot more glass in cabin, better visibility all around.
But Civic road noise is also louder partially because of that extra glass or openness and I just think the Mazda3 Hatch interior looks nicer, especially if I go with a Premium model and the red leather.
Only thing holding me back is every single review or YouTube video notes the large pillars in the back and the blind spots. There are some bad spots in my city (Pittsburgh) where you have to merge at a terrible angle or just very quickly and itโs a mess even when you can see perfectly. (Welcome to the Fort Pitt tunnels, you have about 2.5 seconds to read a half dozen partially obscured signs and then get yourself across five lanes. Good luck, have fun!)
Those of you who have a 2019 Hatch or more recent: how bad is it in practice, and do I need to definitely get a higher end trim for extra blind spot protection or 360 monitoring or anything like that to feel safe?
We're all fans of the Mazda3, but how many have we had? If you've had more than 4, comment how many! I'm very curious.
Hey all,
Shopping around for a car ATM. General reqs:
Done a fair bit of research, and the Mazda3 turbo seems to be by far the leading contender. Great interior, sufficiently practical, sporty enough (though not really a hot hatch) & comfortable. Also seriously considered:
And then there are all the CUVs. I'm not hard against them, but would need a compelling reason, and not really found one. The X1/Q3/GLA all look much worse in terms of value. The Lexus UX 250h seems like it would be the best of the bunch, but even then doesn't seem particularly compelling.
Anything else I should be considering here?
For some reason I canโt find any info on this. I see it used to be part of an app that no longer works? Any insight?
I was familiar with the Mazda paint issues prior to purchasing but must admit Iโm a bit disappointed that after only 5000 miles, with minimal highway miles, I already have some chips. My question is should I at least try to put some clear coat over them to prevent rusting? I have the soul red so I know color matching is a problem as well, so Iโm not sure I want bother with that because I know Iโll be more upset if it stands out even more.
Iโve been looking at Mazdaโs for weeks now. Hopefully tomorrow Iโll finally be able to take one home. Iโm stuck between 2 cars at the moment.
2016 Mazda3 i sport($11,499) and 2014 Mazda 3 grand touring hatchback($12,980). Both at ~ 100k miles
What do you all think? Personally, Iโm leaning towards the hatchback because of the look and Iโm in hopes that I can bring down the price when I talk to the seller.
Market is tough right now so I want to make the right choice.
I'm 24, my parents gifted me this Mazda 3 six months ago and there's nothing I can complain, it's an amazing car. Now, my brother is leaving the country and he's selling his MX-5, so I have the chance to take his car.
I know there's no comparison, that's why I'm indecisive. Both cars look like new.
I'm a student with a girlfriend, most of the time I drive alone. I have no problem in terms of reduced space. In your general opinion, should I get the Miata? Or better stick to the Mazda3?
Mazda3 Hatchback 2021, AT, Premium, 6,200 mi. vs Mazda MX-5 Miata 2019, MT, 4,300 mi.
Iโm planning on buying a car in around March of this year and Iโm stuck between the two. My budget is around $500/month with $6500 down. I can afford both cars (they cost about the same) but Iโm trying to decide between the smaller Mazda3 with a high-end trim or the midsize Mazda6 base trim which I think almost has the same features. What do you guys think?
I currently drive the hatchback....but I've always wanted a BRZ. I got the hatch because it would be more practical. I recently saw a BRZ that caught my eye. Was wondering if it'd be worth it
I'm not sure where to post this..
I have a 2012 Mazda3 hatchback Skyactiv with around 140k miles on it. Everything has been fine since I got it at around 50k miles back in 2015. Today, I noticed when I turned down a road and was going maybe 35-40mph the RPMs were staying around 4000 but I wasn't pushing hard on the gas pedal or anything and could hear it revving, I was mainly coasting. It seemed like I started losing speed and I tried pushing down on the gas pedal and it would not accelerate despite being stuck in 4000 RPM. I was close to home so I used eventually used my brakes to turn into the complex, that's when the RPMs went back down to 1. I was then able to accelerate normally into a parking spot. Also noticed my traction control light was on, I tried turning it off using the button but it didn't do anything.
Any ideas?
According to https://carbuzz.com/news/mazda-working-on-new-two-door-coupe patents indicate it might be coming! Finally!

Just wondering. Since gen 4 has been 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022.
I have a 2012 mazda 3 with 202k miles, and it's still running very well. I want a 2019 or newer because I like the style. Should I run this one into the ground or drop the 22k financed on a 2019? I bought my 2012 for 6,100 at 88k miles, and now these are worth the same if not more then when I bought it.
I live in calgary alberta and we had a week or two of around -30 and my car didnt turn overโฆ. Plugged in the block heater for two days and still didnt crank over. Then it gave me an push start error. After that it wouldnt even try.
Weather came around and at about -20 it started up no problem. Had a check engine light stay on for about a day then went away. Everything seems fine now.
Any thoughts?
I live in Ohio. I'm wanting the turbo... But also want AWD. But want to keep my budget closest to $20k as I can. Oh, and the red leather seats, OMG ๐ฎ. I like the tech safety features like LKA, BSM, back up camera etc. It all helps as I'm blind in my right eye. My instructor says I'm pretty good. I like both the 3 and 6. I'm a huge Mazda fan and I'd like to get both eventually. What's your advice for me?
Hey all, asked a question a while back about the changes coming for next years UK models. Hereโs the total list (short but sweet):
new exterior colour, Platinum Quartz Metallic
Addition of Kodo turn signals (pulsing turn signals, start off bright then fade out)
Addition of Connected Services (Remote start via. App)
Relocation of USB Port to center armrest console
Removal of rear side ultrasonic sensor (with no safety performance impact)
Range rationalisation and price increase of ยฃ200 across the range (vs Oct. 2021 pricing)
Thanks!
I'm currently looking for a first car that my parents would allow me to get and i stumbled upon the new mazda 3.
Ive been comparing the new hatchback mazda 3 (FWD manual 6 speed 150HP) with equivalent cars like audi a3, VW golf, ford focus ETC.
All of the other brands (all cars configured to about 150hp) were 3k to 10k more expensive than a 150hp new mazda 3 hatch (i added the spoiler kit too-1.5k).
Are there any issues or lack of features with the new mazda 3 or do people simply pay more money for the german brand cars which have a reputation.
In my country german cars have a rep for being good and reliable, however, mazdas look a bit u underrated here, although they are globally known as one of the most reliable and good brands out there.
As the title says, I'm considering getting one as a first car. I was initially looking at auto golfs, but I realised just how much I love using my left foot, so started looking at manuals. There are tons of manual 3s for sale in a good spec for far less than a Golf. Anyone have experience with these?
I have a dilemma in which i cannot decide between the 2 variations
I like the 360 cam and f/r parking sensors but... 35.8k??? That is a $2850 upcharge...
I absolutely love the 2.5T as I took a test ride along in a CX30 Turbo Premium Plus a while back
Thinking of buying the Mazda3 hatchback 2022. Test drove it and loved it, but have a couple of questions:
1. When using Android Auto, if you press the console quick buttons for music/navigation - does it take you to Spotify/google maps or does it leave android auto and go to the default mazda music/navigation apps?
2. I read a lot of posts about people having trouble with the USB connection to AA, has this been fixed in the 2022?
3. Anyone who has the memory seats - when you park the car and turn off the engine, do the seats automatically move back into a "neutral" position to help you get in/out of the car? I know Lexus does this so I'm curious.
Just found out today that my order has been built and itโs at the docks ready to depart Japan! Expected delivery is end of January/beginning of February in Ontario, Canada. Dealer said maybe 3-4 months but couldnโt even guarantee thatโฆ looks like itโs only going to be 2 months!
Found linked article in Carbuzz.
Mazda has submitted patents for a 2 door coupe and the article teases us potential for a developing rotary engine.
Could this be a possible (wet) dream?

Bonus: There is an awesome photo rendering of a 2 door hatch.
